Should the government ban online gambling?
>>
>>524365467
what, you never blew your skull in half with a shotgun after losing your first mil in online gambling? you have not lived life
>>
>>524365467
its illegal in Japan. i dont think it should be.
>>
>>524365467
>should government take away the only chance for some people to become rich
KYS JEW
>>
>>524365467
retards should never have this much money to spend in first place
it's just market correction, moving it into proper hands
>>
How can he even be that mad when he didn’t learn his lesson after losing half of that 5500 dollars in a few spins?
No skill, pretending an rng program was rigged against him from the start.
>>
98% pay out means you lose 2% every spin
it cant be anymore rigged
>>
>>524366323
>some people
>online casino operators
Telling those jewish casinos operators to kill themselves isn't very nice anon.
>>
>>524365467
>Should the government ban online gambling?
Yes. It's extremely addictive, too easy to access, and too easy to piss away huge amounts of money suddenly on.

Online gambling is a gigantic problem in asia, especially in philippines where I currently live. It destroys families, because dumb people cannot help themselves. They get trapped in this cycle.

It must be shut down, and anyone operating an offshore gambling site should be hunted down and sent to labor camps.
>>
>>524365467
Absolutely not. It's a phenomenal filter. The government should promote it. Perhaps tacitly and indirectly.
>>
>>524365467
Yes, you can quite literally ban online and irl gambling and it just goes away. Obviously not 100%, especially online, but it can be niche enough to not really be a societal problem.
I visit relatives in Europe often, and I am always shocked by casinos, sports bet "bars" and ads for gambling all around whenever i go. It literally doesn't exist here.
>>
>>524365467
yes, it's a gateway to lifetime poverty and is ran exclusively by for-profit operators. it's entire premise is "con 1000 people into playing a game of completely unknown odds with the promise that 1 person will take everything, while skimming off the top". it's the most unproductive form of wealth transfer ever devised. it also perverts sports. look at greyhound racing: we closed them all down. yeah, the natives wanted to do it, but racing fixing via doping with cocaine was rampant and it was killing dogs and blowing out their kidneys. incentives would not have been nearly as strong if it weren't for betting. horse racing doesn't really see it due to how fragile and expensive they are, but sports betting in football/association football now with these online bookies will quickly show why we made it illegal all those years ago: people will throw matches for under-the-table profits.
>>
>>524365467
At this point something has to be done about it. Predictive betting markets are getting a bit silly.
>>
>>524365467
The government shouldnt be allowed to ban anything that his both harmless and done completely voluntarily as a form of recreation.

I'm a grown ass man, I don't need some retarded boomer telling me that I can't do drugs, drink, gamble etc just because said so.
>>
>>524367118
skill issue, don't gamble on odds that aren't free. why would you gamble on odds that have no source? if you do, you deserve to lose.
>>
>>524367162
The problem is these gambling companies are spending billions into advertising blitz and inserting themselves into every aspect of sport there is. When the hosts of ESPN are talking more about betting odds than the game itself you got serious problems. These companies are also throwing absurd money at 18 year old dudes fresh outta highschool to get them hooked immediately because when your dad, your mates, your ecelebs are all talking about online betting and the app hands you $5000 to start betting with. You aren't turning it down and they're sure as shit gonna give you as many near misses as possible which are scientifically proven to give you the same dopamine hit that actual wins do.
>>
>>524367194
i don't gamble, because i'm not retarded. you also ignored 80% of my post. nice bait though.
>>
I gambled for like a year on bc.game and lost overall like 200 euros after turning it into like a 60k wager or so. could've kept going too because of how their bonus system used to work but really should've just stopped after being up 800 euros.

it's over when you start fantasizing about making a living from it because you think you got figured it out using stupid martigale thing but even if it was working shit is still rigged. they just give you some initial wins but eventually their algo starts betting against you, or that's how it feels. still, if you keep winning significantly they'll just claim some technicality and refuse the pay-out and ban your account.

lot's of weird shit happening too in terms of the crash games for instance having randos with fresh accounts winning big pots a specific times of the day and vanishing immediately. makes me wonder about it being organized money laundering or such.

either or the amount of shameless begging in the chat and seeing how much other people have lost really made me stop cold turkey. like literal gollum looking crack whores talking about practicising satanism, besides a few cool people. also lots of desperate indians doing the hello sar thing.

you literally can't win, not in the long run. same is true for sports betting. if you do win you still won't because they don't allow it.
>>
>>524367621
>if you do win you still won't because they don't allow it.
this
draftkings and fanduel have quietly deactivated peoples accounts that "win too much" under the blanket, dubious claim of a "tos violation"
there's a reason why card counting isn't illegal in vegas, but it will still get you kicked out and permanently banned from any casino there.
>>
>>524365467
>should we, the plebs, cuck ourselves out of more options in life while the elite and the rich will just do it anyway???

yes ban porn and guns and meat and pets and everything else too, suckers
>>
>>524367621
tldr. would be one thing if gambling was actually fair, but it isn't. it's rigged which is one of the bigger reasons why it's a waste of time.

or take online poker like GG and whatnot having scandals about hackers accessing some data stream showing hidden hands. besides GG manipulating their algo to have more action.
>>
>>524365467
someone explain to me how anyone in the world hasnt heard a thousand times that the house always wins. I see people gambling and it confuses the shit out of me. it's not even fun.

gambler's dillema. the more you lose the bigger the need to make up for it. they know but they still think they can beat the game somehow. like even with the rigged there's people arguing it should make it easier to win, if you anticipate the rig correctly. that's how those dudes think, or some at least.

I'm going to start selling a 'sure fire system' to win at any casino game and for $100 I send back an email that says 'the only way to win is to not play'. if people hate their money so much I'll be glad to have some of it.
>>
>>524367875
got around to strangers and ask them this question:
>if i flip a coin 5 times, what is the probability that it lands on heads 5 times in a row?
the people that say "50%" is your answer
>>
>>524367823
>would be one thing if gambling was actually fair
What about blockchain supported peer to peer games of skill and chance like 2-player poker and battleships?
>>
>>524365467
That dude got arrested already. The issue seems to sort itself out
>>
>>524366236
Yeah… but you have pachinko and slot machines on every corner of the city. And kids basically gamba at Taito and GiGo stations with those claw machines or gatcha.

Making it in-person only and for all age ranges isn’t really any better.
>>
>>524366323
Your parents should get sent to jail for their neglect in your upbringing

Hes only hurting himself. You fucking people who want to make gambling illegal are the worst of the worst. Actual coward sheep blood in you. May YOU lose everything, and fairly!

Stock market is gambling that everybody does.
>>
>>524368291
huh?
>>
>>524368321
there is plenty of advice out there about how to gain in the stock market. (index fund, reinvest divs, DONT TOUCH IT) but people like to fuck around
>>
>>524365467
No. It's literally free money for people who understand how to game the system. If not for online gambling I'd have to get a real job.
>>
>>524368321
>stock market is gambling that everybody does
no, you hapless retard. using the stock market correctly through managed risk strategies and, above all else, reading and learning about what you're buying (something that a lot of people can't do) is called investing. some people aren't pissing their paychecks away on botched and uncalculated options bets and have time horizons that are orders of magnitudes longer than next friday.
>>

It's kinda like those leftists who have sunk cost fallacy in advocating multiculturalism even when they see it failing and everything getting worse they think just a little bit more of multiculturalism can fix it to prove they were right can't turn back now and admit the chuds were right

The last thing that was easy to game was csgo skins. What's your favorite?
>>
unsure. I'm not an expert or anything I just assume anything that can be rigged will be rigged and everyone is trying to gain an unfair advantage some way or other. even with the 2-player poker how do you know the guy isn't running a statistical analysis program on the side?

that said, I guess if you're going to play maybe play something with lots of eyes betting on the same bets rather than you betting on your own. might be wrong, but my assumption is that why the algo can't be rigged against you specifically, even if they still rig the game in terms of trends and averages. take crash for example. rather would play public crash than single player crash because of that reason.

with bc.game you were able to farm wager at least trying to game their bonus system. for instance, if in theory there was something that allows you to play 2x bets on both red and green that would allow you grow the wager without any risk, but in reality it's more complicated and more about minimizing risk rather than being able to get rid of it enitrely.

take roulette for example. allows you to place black or red, odd or even, but you also got the chance of losing with zero. but then the chance kinda slim in comparsion so you could increase your wager while bleeding only a fraction when doing it automatically.

but reminder that's just that kind of degenerate gambler talk I was mentioning earlier in the sense of people thinking they got it figured out when they don't. like me.

Why do leftists and socialists hate gambling so much?
>>
>>524365467
>Should the government ban online gambling?
Why would they ban their unofficial income sources
>>
>>524367118
Did this nigger just criticize casinos for being "for profit". Of all the things to criticize them for you're thinking about the fact they.......want to make money? What the fuck?
>>

>>
>>524367621
I've noticed the "initial betting" being better even in the fucking Pokemon TCG app when they release new packs so I'm pretty sure it's a thing in online gambling.

If it's true though why not just make new accounts constantly? I guess it'd only work with crypto betting right?
>>
>>524365467
It should be extremely popular and everywhere in high density cities and apply to low denomination currencies. It should accept everything as payment including clothing. There should be at least 1 casino that does this in every capital city. It should be a tourist attraction too.
>>
>>524368104
Why would anyone say 50%? That's not a trick question or anything. If you flipped a coin twice in front of them only a mentally retarded person would say 50%. But if they're retarded how do they know a coin flip is 50/50

PS. Why do we put the % in front of the number. We say the number first then percent. "Fifty Percent", why write it opposite??

You guys have plinko gambling.
>>
>>524365467
No.
These platforms should be run by the state itself and the winnings used to make improvements on society at the expense of retarded gamblers.
I'm against kikes getting rich from running these gambling platforms but I'm in favor of taking the money from retards who have "gambling addictions" (that's not a thing).
I don't even see the appeal in gambling like that. I tried a casino once and it just felt retarded I hate it.
>>
>>524370695
You can be for profit and produce something of value. Science, technology, art, tasty food, entertainment.
Casino especially online one produces no value. It just exploits human psyche to take away their money, not much difference from a pyramid scheme
>>
>>524371407
Why should someone who is willing to click a "bet" button over and over not have their wealth extracted as long as it's put to a good use? It's kind of eugenic imo
>>
>>524366691
I’m generally against banning things but online gambling seems extremely risky, and I’m saying this from an alcoholic drug addict perspective. The 2 addictions addicts recognize as the most difficult are food and gambling.
>>
>>524366559

> Means you lose 2% every spin

Not exactly. A return to player percentage, AKA RTP, is the average amount of money the player can expect to see returned to them over the lifetime of play on a particular machine with that RTP.

So theoretically, for every $100 you spend, you can expect to get back $98. In reality, that's often not the case. You can play $1.00 per spin and lose over and over without realizing a single win. The wins you see on most games are done so in the short term, but given enough time, variance (or spread) based on the inherent RTP and RNG of the game will favor the house. So in the long run, you will lose more than you will win. Scale that $100 to $10,000. You can expect to get back $9800 of that $10k on a machine with a 98% RTP. It's the law of large numbers.

Online gambling should be regulated much like in person gambling or anything else. That guy shouldn't be surprised that that happened.

It actually takes all of the fun out of the lie they sell you on the casino floor with bright flashing lights and puts it in plain Arabic numerals even this fella came to understand. Don't gamble what you're not comfortable with losing.
>>
>>524371785
Porn, videogames and sugar are the top 3 hardest addictions by far. Maybe endless scrolling too (4chan included).
Gambling isn't an addiction that's like saying you're addicted to eating tomatoes. Just stop eating tomatoes it's not a big deal.
>>
>>524372351
This proves how subjective it is because I don’t consider vidya to be addictive to me personally.
Gambling-significantly higher chances of a negative life altering decision. Drunk driving could have the same consequences but the odds are better in your favor.
Food-no possible way to abstain, which is the model for most addiction treatments. It’s like telling a drug addict to just do a little bit to feel ok when that’s not how compulsion works.
