The fumigation rooms have blue-stained walls, and for decades were claimed to be gas chambers. But these rooms have large, easily breakable plate-glass windows, so these claims were revised.The soviets modified the building post-war, boarding up the original entrances. They lead tourists through the building the opposite direction, claiming the jews were proceeding to their deaths at the end. The supposed gas chamber rooms have pipes around the base. If cyanide was used in that room, it would have been unwise, as it's highly explosive and it's one door from the cremation ovens. There's also the problem that prisoners would have to go through the cremation rooms with the ovens to enter the gas chamber.

However this was examined by French and American forces, and found to have been impossible to have been used for exterminating people.They then switched the claim to say the pellets were slid into the room through bizarre slots in the side of the wall. But these slots are covered by metal grates, which would catch the pellets. The room had a hole smashed in the far wall, for camera cables for the photo-op with the generals. It doesn't seem like they had much respect for what should be a crime scene.In fact, this entire room was probably a mock up by allied psyche-warfare. She was given a kangaroo trial, where she was pregnant at the age of 42 after being raped by allied interrogators, and she spent the rest of her life in prison. In reality, the pieces of tattooed human skin likely came from one of the SS officers there who was doing a study on tattoos and their relation to criminality.
