Most people essentially use their facebook/twitter/instagram pages to post random photos, thoughts and videos. People who are more serious about things basically monetize it by making youtube/facebook channels about whatever they are doing. I think a lot of the people who are into various hobbies also end up contributing to wiki's or message boards where they can talk about it more.I do miss the days of people making their on websites. They just had personal touches and creativity to them that you cannot teach.I run my own site. I don't make any money off of it. But at least the stuff I do should survive for a long long time.
