This movie was from 1993 but it was so on point. It got really awful reviews from movie critics though. They often called it exaggerated and superficial, which is so funny when you look back now.

Watch Studio Telerop. It's 13 part W-German scifi mini series from the 1970s and presumably based on the 1st CoR report. They got so much "right" it's outright disturbing.
