Why don’t we just draft current and former prisoners to fight in the Iran war? It would be the most politically safe option for a draft. It would generate minimal backlash from the public and tap into a large supply of people who are violence enthusiasts. Bussification for anyone with a neck tattoo or domestic violence charge. They can have their records wiped clean when they return. If they don’t return, no one will care. Empty out the prisons and the parole offices for a troop surge. Put them under the charge of the regular enlisted. Or just give them a weapon and set them lose in the country side. We have the world’s largest prison population, why not tap into this nearly limitless resource?
