If you played the Cyberpunk 2077, thats the entire premise of the game. That they make this supercomputer that can download your conscious. than when they find you a new body, they will be able to upload your conscious into a new body. the problem is that every body is born with a soul, so to get one you have to kill someone. which ultimately really happens is their souls are trapped in eternal damnation never to exist in the physical world again.
