It's not like a waitstaff job or white collar work for a small business where you can get away with goofing off half your shift or answering 10 calls and sending 2 emails a day with no complaints from your boss. It's not remotely difficult work if you're not a cripple or sub 80iq but it's a real job with real productivity requirements. As it turns out that's too high a requirement for the overwhelming majority of the US workforce these days because the washout rate is substantial.

I worked at Amazon on two occasions. The first time I got the job stacking boxes in the back of a truck, and I was smart enough to not let them trick me into "cross training" which just means you have to go shit that's even more mind numbing than stacking boxes like scanning boxes for 12 hours. That time it was pretty great, albeit very physical. The second time I worked there I got the job where you pull down products from a shelf a robot brings you, that job was one of the worst jobs I ever had in my life. Jumping up and down for 12 hours while having an insanely high quota to meet that's basically impossible. If you need money fast Amazon is good for a month or two, as far as blue color jobs go though basically any warehouse pays that much and probably works you slightly less. Also it's true that you don't get a break and can't use the bathroom the entire day and you only get a 20 minute lunch.If I somehow lost my crush white color job and had to go back to blue collar , id never work in a warehouse ever again. It used to make sense when warehouses paid 15$ an hour while everybody else was paying 7$ to the uneducated but even McDonald's workers are making 20$ an hour now days. Id sooner go back to working two jobs being a security guard and delivering pizza
