It changes you, makes your interactions more robotic, makes your interface with the world feel insincere. Assuming it's adderall, you're going to literally be on amphetamines for all of your waking life, if you don't take them, you'll just go back to the old you, which is still the real you.

I was on adderall for about 2 years and I hated being medicated. When I stopped, I had a hard crash into some of my old ways. But in the years since then I put genuine work into becoming a better person. Yeah, I still get distracted really easily, have a hard time remembering everything I need to do and stuff like that, but now I'm the one in control, not some pill and not some doctor I need to write me a prescription every month.

I get it though, you're looking for an easy way out of a hard thing, but what i'm trying to say is that isn't a way out, it's just easy. After you've given a decent shot and realize you've become a tweaked out p-zombie, try giving the hard way out a shot. You won't feel the instant gratification that comes with amphetamines, and most of the time you make progress you can't even tell and it feels like you're just spinning tires in the mud, but after long enough of that one day you'll wake up and be able to look behind you and see how far you've come.

tl;dr don't tweak to solve your problems

Oh if you're on wellbutrin that's nowhere near as bad as adderall, I was on that for awhile too, it helped more with depression (the tired and unmotivated kind, not the sad kind) but after so many months it just stopped working and like I said here >>533128421 really the only thing that changed anything is putting effort into becoming a good person.

I'm on Concerta. It's like strong coffee but without the side effects on the heart.

Bupropion ER (generic Wellbutrin XL) 150mg #30

I understand there are side effects but I need to finish college and hold down a job, there is no way I can do that without medication for my scatterbrain.

tweaker, "This speed really makes me focused, that confirms that I needed it" is a very retarded position to take.
>>
>>533129302
Better to be on speed than flunk out of school or fired for low productivity, like I was.
Im doing non stim, but I plan to progress to adderall if I dont feel focused enough
>>
>>533127923
That is not an ADHD med and you are being lied to by pharmakikes, do one jewgle search for Wellbutrin you fucking retard
>>
>>533128904
Caffeine has no "side effects on the heart." Enjoy your diet adderall, pillhead.
>>
>>533127923
You don't even get speed? Fuckin faggot taking an antidepressant that causes seizures kek.

All White men who aren't charismatic chads need to be culled so we can make way for more people of color. Then we can be losers who lose constantly like conservatives do.

>>533129451
My pharmacist said it helps treat with adhd. Depression treatment is just a bonus

>>533129480
Im scared to immediately do speed. Like I said, non stim, then stim if I feel I absolutely need it
>>
>>533128904
Concerta was not for me so I got an elevated heartbeat and urge to grind teeth. I stopped it pretty quick.
I hated how everybody liked me more when I was using it.
>>
>>533127923
was on it for a week
meth without the feel good part
feels like going insane, rapid heart rate and tweaking like a junkie. its also an antidepressant not adhd medication. You can jerk off 5 times a day tho and have massive loads so thats a good thing in that regard. Terrible terrible medication otherwise. Just get on sertraline or something, at least youll have that cozy warm feeling
>>
with add smoking some good chronic and being able to focus is like a superpower. you will realize normies while otherwise being retarded cattle have been living life on easy mode. if you are above average iq you will be able to suddenly do things you didn't think possible or took you forever

Weed is very illegal in my state :/
We have thc and i tried it its nice but I dont want think thc will help with my adhd

>>533129664
Damn bro. Well, I dont know. Ive heard conflicting stories. Ill try it for 2 weeks and if it really fucks me up ill stop and hopefully get a refund with different medication.
But i dont know. The lady who prescribed me it was really nice.
I trust her.

Stimulants are obsolete. Newest ADHD research shows it is a norepinephrine problem in the brain so they prescribe norepinephrine related drugs.

But I guess your average doctor and pharmacy is like 20 years behind actual research

>>
>>533127011
best of luck OP but fuck pharma-maxxing, horrific.
try L-thiamine
>>
>>533129903
Reddit seems to like that medication. Everyone is different, maybe it does work for you who knows. At least you know the negative aspects of it which may or may not affect you at all. in either case, meds take some time to give you that good feeling so stick to it for a while but if you notice your heart fucking up just try something else. there were trials with these meds in the 50s or so where they wanted to use them as a helper to stop smoking. Some big number of all patients got sever heart issues while on these meds. I too was on edge most of the time. If everything fails, try sertraline or mirtazapin. Both will kill your dick for a month but after that, its smooth sailing
>>
>>533127011
I can't tell apart the effect of my medication and a can of Monster Energy Drink.
Side effect: nausea for 10 seconds and photosensitivity for around one minute.

When I don't take my pills I get a bit sad and mopey, when I do I'm chipper.
The pills also reduce my appetite somewhat.

I like to take them on and off only if need be, exactly like coffee or redbull.
I never went past one pill (10mg) per day

Hello sar
Big dicked blue eyed 6'3 white chad here. What were you saying? All your women want me? You feel inferior to me? You would be correct, you are inferior.
>>
>>533127923
it's in the same class as antidepressants but is prescribed for adhd too
takes longer to work(6-8 weeks) compared to stimulants like Adderall
I was on it recently but stopped because it gave me hives and just made me irritable and tense all the time
But really you should be asking your doctor about this

Bupropion is a nice little balancer.
I take lexapro, 450 bupropion and a 15 addy in the morning.
Smoke weed throughout the day and I’m chillin

I thought my medication would be bad for my penis but apparently its correlated with increased libido and orgasms so thats cool

>>533130197
Yeah thanks for the advice. Heart anything is pretty scary and I know thats a possible side effect but im a young healthy dude so I should be ok hopefully

>>533130367
Yes, you’re right. Idk if I am truly depressed or just burnt out but man I feel like shit and getting out of bed is a huge chore everyday lol so hopefully my meds could help woth that

Some swelling between the anus and genitals and thoughts of suicide. That may or may not be a side effect, but im sure you have it tranny.

>>533130565
yeah just give it a spin, worst case you just quit them after a week and hop onto something else. Meds are lizard poison in that regard but good to get you going to sort things out until you can do without them. In the end ive found out that gym, walking everywhere and eating semi healthy is enough to keep me running but takes time to get there. good luck

>Concerta

That shit sucks bro. Just IR Ritalin is better honestly. When we were kids we'd try to pull the Concerta pills apart to get to the "instant" part but they were always so glued together it never worked.

I don't really have ADHD but I like getting a script for Adderall every now and again. 10mg Extended for a day. Haven't deviated from that dose and if it ever starts "not working" just take a few days/weeks off.

Don't rely on it too much, it's just amphetamines but at least it's method of actions is well understood as opposed to whatever the hell Wellbutrin does.

P.S. Never OD on Wellbutrin because it's like a sure fire way to die via seizure and there's very little change anyone can save you from it even if brought to a hospital quickly.

My GF told me a story (she's a medic) where some younger person (teen or young adult) wanted to "commit suicide" by taking all her Wellbutrin...but then decided she didn't want to...but even after arriving at the hospital there wasn't much doctors could do once it's in your blood stream. Very bad way to die. She mighta made it not sure, but usually they don't.

Is it even a real thing? Everyone is distracted. Attention span is 2m. It has been reduced to 40s now with screen and such but it has never been that people could focus 7 hours straight on a single task with no break and no interaction.
>>
>>533128421

ignore this retarded woman. if you truly need it, get it and make something of yourself. the alternative is abject failure and a waste of life. and yes, also eat well, exercise, drink water, have hobbies, get laid - all the things. it's not tweaking, it's a strategy for successful living for those driven to distraction and lingering existential dread. those discounting it effectiveness likely never needed it in the first place.

like get real. if you were going to turn it around, you probably would've done so in high school. the window for failure is large so you gotta sidestep that shit early.

Shabbos normgroids don't want (You) to know this but all the cool drugs that help your body are demonized while the poison drugs are praised so that people are perpetually sick for (((profit))). Stop letting other people control your body numbnut retard. Our bodies are the only thing we truly own on paper. Slave drivers are never happy until they own everybody. Pretty much every other burger has turned into some time wasting absolute asshole. If they're not smart enough nor giving enough fucks to figure out how to take care of their own bodies then they certainly don't care about your ass.

Depend how bad your ADHD is. My sister has ADHD bad enough that she's actually on 4 different medications for it simultaneously just to level off into someone that has the mental energy to both work a fulltime job and still be able to do shit in her off time without melting down.

Its going to be a balancing act until you find the right mix for you, and it might be a combination of pills instead of one magic bullet that solves it for you. But it is solvable!

Some other useful ADHD details for you that might help you cope: you probably have sleep issues, right? Its very common with ADHD. You'll have more success treating your "insomnia" if you stop trying to sleep for 8 hours a night in one go and instead resolve yourself to a biphasic sleep schedule: sleep for 2-4 hours, when you wake up go and do something for 40-60 minutes, go back to bed for another 2-4 hours. Thats how humans used to sleep prior to the industrial revolution and common indoor lighting, and ADHD brains like it better than the 8 hours of sleep thing we have been told to do since.

Also you probably just need less sleep to function than normal people do anyway, because your brain is actually in a low-level dreaming state even while awake. When you 'zone out' in the middle of the day and feel like you've hard a hard reset and need to reorient yourself and remind yourself what was just happening around you? Thats because your brain got to the end of one dreamlike cycle and started another one, leaving you dealing with the reset happening while you are awake. Its disorienting, but there is evidence to suggest that as a result you can go without sleep for longer than a normal person can without issue because your brain is effectively sleeping a little even when you are awake so the wear and tear takes longer to build up for you. One of those things that used to be an evolutionary advantage but we've sort of made obsolete now.

>>533131205
>cool drugs demonized

This.

I mean, narcotics and amphetamines aren't "cool"...but fuck if they are clinical grade and used properly they work way fucking better than these shitty derivatives that come with more fucking side effects.

Never do opioids recreationally tho. That's the one that you really don't want to get hooked on.

Fun fact: snake oil wasn't actually fake. Just poorly sourced.
The idea of snake oil came to america with chinese workers who brought it from home, with snake oil rendered from a kind of asian viper and which had antinflammatory properties. This is why snake oil supposedly fixed all kinds of aches and pains: it was basically Ibprofen as a salve.

The problem was that people tried to make their own snake oil in north america, from local vipers. Wrong animal, didn't have the antiinflammatory properties at all. So because it was the wrong kind of snake it had no medicinal value despite the fact that they were trying to emulate something that they knew did in fact work.

>because your brain is actually in a low-level dreaming state even while awake
holy fuck dude. i was just suspecting this the other day.
>continues reading...
dear god.
interesting tidbit. as it happens, i have a bi-phasic schedule but i feel it's quite unhealthy and unsustainable. however, during covid without the encumbrances of obligations or people, i ended up in a total seamless natural 36 hour day. which makes sense, even as a baby, i just didnt want to go to sleep. so for two years over covid, i'd be awake for 24+ hours and sleep for 10-12. i never would've known that about myself otherwise.
