I've been watching artificial intelligence every day since the 1990's when people laughed at me for suggesting it was inevitable. Improvement is noticed every single week. The question is when it's going to bump up against carrying capacity. Like how Brains in humans stopped at their current size. An acceptable compromise between size, spend and yield is isolated as the ultimate, and for something 10x better, you'd need a different architecture which is a sinking nash equilibrium that nobody chooses.
