All Ukraine has done is sell itself out to the exact same people who are doing the exact same things except much worse.It all goes back to Austria-Hungary and more importantly Poland, their occupation of far-western Ukraine and the imposition of Ukrainian identity to hold on to that region politically. There are Ukrainians today, including many Ukrainian Americans with positive views of Poland but the entire history of Poland-Ukraine (Ruthenian) relations is basically one of Polish colonization and relegating them to a serf peasant class.
