The reason this movie no longer hits the same is that, unlike in 1999, men no longer have hope or stability or some notion that their life is boring. Instead you got 9/11, OIF, Trump, COVID-19, Floyd riots, Jeffery Epstien, Venezuela, Iran, Palantir, Jews literally coming out of sidewalk manholes, and Israel subverting every level of our way of life.
