We're in a race to make research acceleration that doesn't need to sleep. Whoever attains AGI first will be able to pull ahead of their competition and achieve technological supremacy.

Green energy talking points in general are subversive when they do not point toward a nuclear solution because they advocate for crippling our means to compete with global powers.

each new datacenter makes your life worse, not better. They aren't building new powerplants, they aren't producing more clean water, they are just taking everything from you until you are just a either a food delivery pajeet or a server watcher "agent" whose job is to get sued and replaced when the hardware malfunction.
>>
Here's my issue... I've worked in a datacenter before. Most people have never set foot in one. And I've had another anon confirm my thoughts on this... We already had a ton of datacenters and they are NOT AT CAPACITY. Many have tons of older equipment that's far less powerful than what you could have in the rack w\ current levels of available tech. The scale of this datacenter gold rush is simply retarded.
There's a couple of thoughts on this. One being that many of these will simply fail, or never actually come to fruition. Right now in the short term, they are stimulating the economy by pumping billions of dollars into this datacenter project around the country. It's absolutely unfathomable what you could do w\ that amount of "compute". You certainly don't need 100 complexes of datacenters spanning miles upon miles...
You could fill up data centers with existing tech, and away you go. Also things like storage are growing exponentially. They've got 40TB disks... They can fill a 3u rackspace w\ top of the line storage and have more power than racks upon racks of more legacy equipment.

It's a gold rush, but honestly, i dont think there's that much gold to find. You're going to have a bunch of people competing for this AI space and ultimately you'll probalby see the AWS / microsoft type outfits acquire any smaller successful operations. But the sheer scale of the project is retarded.

Another theory posed that I have trouble believing offhand, but is possible is the removal of personal computing.

That's the ultimate digital control. If they can kill personal computers, and you have to have your government ID to access the internet from your state approved terminal, and then if you want to game, you just sign up with X gaming service, and they charge you to use their hardware from a dumb terminal that would also facilitate complete capture of your data and files, and access to the internet.

Data centers are bad investments for small towns and rural communities. They add no real jobs to the community, they soak up water, they spike everyone's electricity bills, and inject marginal amounts of money back into the local economy. They likely do not even pay substantial property taxes because local governments usually give them generous tax breaks as an incentive to build the data center there in exchange for some kind of kickback. It's certainly not because of any long-term benefit to the community.
>>
>>534948925
Input delay is already solved with faster communication networks. Stadia didn't flop because of input delay. It flopped because of lack of user adoption and lack of market. There are other cloud gaming services already available and widely used like GeForce Now or whatever Netflix advertises on their gaming tab.

>>534949087
>Infrastructure for it doesn't exist
They're forcing the necessarily infrastructure already. That's what these datacenters are. Gaming will be something they provide as an incentive.
All your problems can be solved with money, they're looking for any excuse to build these robust datacenters close to residential areas.
All your problems are non-starters.
The speed between the homes and the datacenters will be near instant with optical fibre. And for locations that still experience input delay they'll just install some last mile server farms. Not hard.

Again, both of you are thinking of this the wrong way.
They're not building server farms for gaming. They're building server farms regardless for AI surveillance, policing and CBDC. These datacenters will be so robust that gaming with no input delay would be like 1% of their capability.

As is, data centers are contributing to the modern cold war/moon race/arms race because whoever attains AGI first has a fleet of hundreds of thousands of human researchers' worth of power that take no salary or benefits and don't need to sleep. Whoever attains it first ideally wouldn't be a global power and would be somewhere very boring or with a history of neutrality.

Here I am old enough to remember when chat bots weren’t even a thing at all. You’re clearly just too young and inexperienced. The math says it’s possible, it’s been modeled. That means it’s simply an engineering problem to solve. Therefore it isn’t a question of if, but when.
All technological development follows this kind of a path. Do you think science fiction writers like Isaac Asimov actually could foresee the future? Nah. They just understood math and engineering well. Once something is shown to be possible mathematically, it becomes an inevitability. It may not be exactly as we imagined it early on, but it always comes into existence regardless.

The people that run my own government devote their lives and energies to my destruction and harm. wtf are you talking about “we”?
The people in my own government hate me far more than any foreign power.
So maybe if you want these tech developments, the benefits should accrue to the people. All benefits of tech funnel up to the very top. All tech has made my life, and everyone else’s, immeasurably worse. Tech is a false promise. The people behind it are misanthropic twerps who relish the suffering of others.
Maybe if we didn’t have Jews your argument would carry some weight. But we are occupied by a malignant foreign entity (Jews) who literally pray for our death, enslavement, suffering and poverty to their demon god.

So no thanks on the tech stuff. Especially data centers. I’m with the left on this issue. I would support any form of sabotage or even violence against tech and data centers at this point.

This is woman thinking. Yes, it is going to seriously fuck things up for a lot of people, but at the same time it is going to create new opportunities for even more people.
There are entire categories of jobs that simply did not exist 80 years ago. We are in the process of figuring out what soul-sucking work we can get AI to do, so that humans can be freed up to work on more meaningful tasks. Those who enjoy soul sucking work over meaningful work are upset, but I shall pay them no mind as I am sure there is more soul sucking work to be created for them in the future as well. Or they can end up on the street. Adaptability is core to the human spirit. Those who do not wish to do so and cling desperately to old ways without innovating to stay competitive are not people. They are flesh automatons.

The problem is that you can’t form a coherent response to it. You really expect anyone to believe that Jews want anything but harm for us? It will benefit me nothing at all and further empower the people that seek my death and destruction?

No thanks. Hard pass. I hope leftists bomb the fuck out of these data centers and hang the people who operate them. How about that?

We simply cannot continue as a nation with this level of Jew subversion. Nobody wants to go further with them. They are not fit to lead. Period. They want nothing but harm for all non Jews. Lies. They say that they are to build their own power plants and structures so instead of building a power station that uses gas/oil to benefit our country. They put the cart before the horse and use energy from the power grid they slow the building of their power plants. Causing the citizens to foot the bill via tax incentives from govt for one building in the USA and it being for the so called ai race winning that race literally trumps everything else. So long and short company’s start up’s for ai gets a blank check on shit as long as they invest in the long term. The long term being they wait milking our citizens in taxes and usage of energy when not if it comes time to build power plants and such they ai bubble will burst pure coincidence as they get off scotfree as we the citizens get fucked and are in a police state ran by ai demolition man style

It's mostly for the DOD or to spy on people, all other effects are secondary.
The big thing is that's where the economic growth has been for this decade, so if we decide they're no longer worth it the economy immediately crashes and we go into a recession.

Dotcom bubble, massive overinvestment of like 100x into infrastructure that wasn't even needed, we use a tiny fraction of it, and we pay for it for a decade. Most are found to be obsolete, gradually dismantled and scrapped off, trillions wasted but it's the only thing currently propping up the global economy so we have to run it until it crashes.
>>534948525
This is more or less correct, they don't even have anything to use most of these centers for. It's just where the money goes so they chase it.

Vertical by far
>Upgrade one singular facility
VS
>Create 10 new ones
You must play civ or some other bullshit, vertical in the real world is infinitely more affordable and effective when your business needs to make money. If you don't need to make money and just need to do investment number-moving bullshit it's different, but when it's time to make money you have to have the most efficient center making that compute power with the least amount of electricity possible. A 10 year old center is outright obsolete. Those old centers should have their innards ripped out and replaced instead of building a bunch of new ones.

Problem with horizontal is the massive amounts of waste, instead of incrementally upgrading the inside parts as soon as new ones come in you order for years in advance and plan to do it all at once with literally nothing being operational for years because you're still waiting for 10,000 parts from 10,000 sources.

I’ll advise that you not respond at all. You’ve added nothing at all to the conversation.

The issue is not isolated to AI. We have to evaluate who benefits. I get that your tiny mind cannot collate complexity. But this is pretty basic stuff. Why would anyone want to see misanthropic and demonic Jews benefit from this? The more power Jews have, the worse our lives get. It’s been the experience of every non Jew who doesn’t worship Satan (the shabbas). So tell me, why would I want to see these people benefit from such a powerful technology?

That’s called a paradox, you low IQ dolt. If the tech is as powerful as you say, then all the more reason to trash it so long as Jews are in our midst. You think we want to give epsteins buddies enhanced abilities to rape, torture and eat children?

I had a math teacher once who expressed his deep misgivings about the precision needed for missile defense systems and whether the math was truly there. They take away your rights to ownership over time. They built on the promise that they contain massive hosting rental space for AI companies, but they're actually reserved by BlackRock, who are building the Governmental AI Infrastructure that has Digital IDs, and Programmable money (Central Bank Digital Currency) which powers Palantir and every Flock camera you see, and will be used along with a Social/Carbon Credit app and a system where you have to reveal your identity at every website you visit.

But the last part won't even matter, because with the move to these datacenters, they're already dibbing on so many Computer components so that the game console and Home Computer manufacturers are tapping out of the entire consumer market (RAM/CPU prices skyrocketing; business has become impossible) and this is how they realize the 2030 agenda of "You'll own nothing, and be happy."

Simply put, with these datacenters they've rigged the market such that you can no longer buy your own PC after 2030, only a really shitty one, and then you have to connect it to their datacenters to lease a Cloud-Computer, which has the hardware to be used for AI, Programs, and video games.

Once they have you on that dependency, Computers/AI becomes government. Because you can't say no to it, it will begin to control what you can say and what you can do, because by being dependent on it, they can just decide what access you have, and with the programmable money that's going to replace cash, they're going to be able to digitally lock and unlock access to what you can buy in stores, based on your RL Reddit-karma.

I wish I was kidding, but this is what it does.

>Make a new center entirely, get all new parts entirely throughout

It's not, and that's why most data centers now have delays or cancellations. It wasn't actually scalable in the real world because there's a limited amount of resources, they had the resources to rip out the innards and replace them with new ones but they didn't have the resources to make entirely new facilities.
>More scalable
Yup, new centers have zero scaling potential because it doesn't make money.
I need 1,000 points of compute power at 10 cents, I don't need 10,000 points of power at 200 cents. If you give me the second option it's not scaled more, I can't run my business with double the prices so therefore it's not more scaled.

In the real world you have to make money and every piece of bullshit you do costs money.
Horizontal scaling also doesn't work for exponential functions like windmills, better to make one super-windmill than a bunch of small ones for the same reason. More doesn't equal better, more means more expensive and now I can't make money with your product, meaning your "scaled" product is actually worth zero and is giving me zero computation points.

It's probably Qatari propaganda, Chinese propaganda, Russian propaganda, etc. Every single geopolitical adversary wants US tech to collapse, military spending reduced, armed services de-fanged, foreign policy swapped to isolationism, academia overrun by progressives, etc. They'll blame literally anyone: Jews, Black, Whites, Straights, Gay, Christians, Muslims, they literally don't give a shit because their goal is to take us down.

Why? Because they know the US would fucking stomp them into a rut in a conventional war. They did this starting in Vietnam by restricting US operations via rules of engagement combined with "anti-war" protests, and it has only grown. EVERYONE who is "anti-war" or "anti-AI" is just reciting propaganda from our enemies.

>An iron law
>High cost relative to horizontal
None of this is real and it's why the industry is putting billions into something that doesn't pay off.
I need 100 computer points at 10 cents. I don't need more at 12 cents, those are worth nothing to me.
You have to deliver a certain amount of product at a certain time, I don't benefit from more, I benefit from a low price and you creating a bunch of new scaled facilities is more expensive over the long run.

New chips come out in 2 years and boom, all your old chips are obsolete and so are your new centers you just filled with chips you bid up for no reason.

AT&T is publicly traded MNC that routinely fucks over the average citizen.
The only public utility companies you can trust are those directly owned by the government but AT&T isn't even that.
They use lobbying and corruption to get ton of tax payer money though.

What they're doing now is infinitely more expensive and ineffective, that's why every new data center is now delayed or cancelled. The theory (the thing you post about repeatedly forever with no argument) is not the real world, suddenly OOPS none of this works and every center is delayed or cancelled.

You keep posting theory and nothing relating to the real world. It costs money to do these things and it needs to provide a product to a customer at a price. It's not doing that, therefore it's a worse and more expensive form of scaling.

yes. things get more expensive because people demand more infrastructure. It's inflation.
If you want, you can just throw away your computer and live in some african jungle and die of malaria or something

Input delay from residential areas to any potential datacenters has been solved a decade ago - FACT!
Datacenters are currently being built with an AI surveillance state vision - FACT!
You are doing the work of satan for trying to slide these facts - FACT!

Data centers...

>steal a bunch of power they dont pay for
>steal a bunch of water they dont pay for
>steal a bunch of IP they dont pay for

But they are the wave of the future
>>
Imagine a world in which you are monitored 24/7. No more jaywalking, no more "loitering" no more going 5 mph over the speed limit no more "illegal assembly" no more "hate speech" or anonymity at all. All human free will lost. Morality becomes a thing of the past as you're given no choice. You're either a perfect citizen every second of every day or you just die. And just wait, they will take even death from you one day. You will be kept alive artificially for as long as possible and be modified to continue working. Data center future.

What I’m hearing is to stop building them where people live and to stop driving up the cost of electricity. The western United States is largely open space, so build them in the vacant areas.

For further clarification/humiliation, coax passes through 80% of households and is the only current all-encompassing network in the country.

There are legitimately millions of miles more of coaxial in the floor than fiber- and said fiber tends to sprout from the center of a city.
>>
>>534954327

What are you even competing for? Imaginary numbers. That's all. The westerners are concerned with GDP. They can't compete until that mindset changes, no pun intended. You're worried about building data centers, which is just mindless economic activity. Are you capable of any sort of thought? Or are you an animal that only react to current thing stimuli like one these wall street niggers? So far it seems like it's the latter. A perpetual slop machine. Slop in, slop out. There is no competition. We're playing different games. China is dealing in the real world. They are researching brain chips in order to make super soldiers. This is the future of AI development. Breaking down the barrier between the brain and the machine is the key to the achieving the feedback loop that leads to the singularity. Elon Musk was smart to by twitter. It gave him the most pristine training environment imaginable for Grok. And Grok was the superior AI until last month, when GPT-5.4 finally tied it in the Mensa Norway benchmark. You need human intelligence if you want to recreate human intelligence, which should be obvious. The more content on twitter that is AI generated, the worse Grok's training set, and therefore Grok's development stagnates. To improve Grok needs more intelligent people or more intelligent AI. And more intelligent AI requires more intelligent people. And how to make more intelligent people?

This nigga doesn't know what FTTH means kek.
The optical fibre feeds directly into your modem idiot.
FTTH means that between the data center to the city center to your home, at no point does it use any legacy coax copper cables.
Now if you do some whacky shit in your home between your modem/router and your PC like powerline then that's on you, but FTTH means exactly that fibre to the home.

Most people using telecom installed setups won't pass through coax at all.
>>
>>534954556
There is no good promise to this AI technology and not even a hypothetical long term benefit for humanity outside of the top 0.001%
>>
>>534954633
This nigga doesn't know the amount of coaxial America runs on is so vast its impossible to get a number on how much more is in the floor than fiber but that the number is in the millions.

This nigga Insists private companies are gonna replace it as a means to implement streaming over owning.
>>
>>534954690

>OH MY GOD THEY.... THEY BUILD SERVERS.... FOR THE INTERNET?????????
>AAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHH

>>
>>534954818
Clearly you don't understand, according to them their endgame is burning private ownership by replacing a quantity of line they don't have the resources to replace a quarter of.

>OH MY GOD THEY.... THEY BUILD SERVERS.... FOR THE INTERNET?????????
We already had internet. You don't need all of these new data centers for that. It's surveillance infrastructure, and that is all.
>>
>It's surveillance
>Dude trust me
>Just fucking let the other global powers race the race you shouldn't because...
>uh, surveillance and resources!
>>
>>534952927
yeah but you can train a model with distillation at an nth of the cost. If anything this thread is likely a chinese psyop more than anything
>>
>>534954743
You keep bringing up irrelevant points lol.
60% already use FTTH. By 2028 they say FTTH will be leading, again read >>534952905

>B-B-B-B-BUT MUH COAX AND COSTS
They're aiming for an AI surveillance state. This optical fibre communication network coverage is already considered a matter of national security. They will take as much taxpayer money and take up as many trillions of debt necessary to make it happen. Money is fake and they borrow from future generations to get it done, just like the current datacenters.
>>
>>534955546
Anon, I saw where you prompted it for knowledge you don't understand.

It's why I had to include the amount of coaxial American runs on to get that last 20% of households is such a massive number we're not sure what it is, only that it numbers in the millions over the amount of fiber in the floor because fiber extends out of urban shitholes called cities.

You insist they're going to replace it. Hilarious.
>>
>>534954195
>>534954958
Just answer the question
>>
>>534955546
Salting the wound, now I got curious about logistics.

>untold millions of miles of coax
>average cost to replace one mine is $53,000
>doing a million miles of replacement brings the project to $53,000,000,000
>over twice the cost of the most expensive public project of all time in the US

Wew retard
>>
OP, you are a sweaty faggot
>>
>>534955657
>>534955982
It's not a question of will they it's how soon lol. By your retarded logic they wouldn't even have done as much as they have. Reminder we're already at 60% and only growing. I don't even know why you're so hung up on 20%. How do you think that original coax was laid? Magic? Modern technology makes deploying fibre even easier than what they had to work with in the past.
Cost is not an issue since the people making this happen controls the money supply.
You probably don't even know how many trillions the black defense budget is.
