The problem with ramjet is that they are basically only for mach 3 or above. They can't work at 0 to mach 3. The Boeing X-51 and the russian Zircon both require a booster to bring it up to mach 3 before their ramjet/scramjet take over.I suggest you look into contra rotating ramjet for an actual engine that can cover both low and high speed without using a 2 type propulsion solution
