Could a Tankie please explain why Taiwan should be subject to CCP rule, if:
1. The Taiwanese don't really wanna?
2. The CCP never controlled Taiwan in the first place?
>>
But the majority of Taipei does want to.
>>
Could a zogbot please explain why exactly is he so invested in maintaining the first island chain doctrine?

>Taiwanese do want it
>Ethnic Chinese controlled it, the political system doesn’t matter
>>

Can a neoliberal faggot explain why I need to waste blood and treasure keeping Taiwan out of the China sphere?
>>
>>535316990
Marxists don't oppose imperialism, they vehemently support it, same with genocide.
It's okay when their side does it.

Got any polls to back yourself up?
Cuz I only found those that only my point.
>>

I think they do now. And a lot of them did historically, given how their military was riddled with Mainland spies. There is a lot of sympathy for reunification.

>2. The CCP never controlled Taiwan in the first place?
Amphibious invasions are a nightmare, even if it's a matter of when, and not if you win, like Iwo Jima or Okinawa. And until ~10 years ago, the Chinese couldn't reasonably obtain local sea superiority over the USN.

You mostly need to keep those carbs out of your diabetic body, pal.
Nobody expects you to do anything else, much less waste your blood (God forbid).

Grim.

1 the taiwanese don't know what's best for themselves
2 the ccp is china, wherever there are chinese, the ccp has jurisdiction as the rightful ruler of the han as receiver of the mandate of heaven
taiwan is to china as denmark is to germany.
>>
>>535318159
Ok so you consent to China taking Tiwan. Me too. Good chat

Imagine being Canadian and mouthing off like this, what will Canada do to defend Taiwan?

so taiwan can stop them, or no
>>

the thing about taiwan and china is that they speak totally different languages and can't understand each other. It's not like taiwan is a big threat to the hearts and minds of the chinese.

Taiwan is the remnant of KMT that fled the mainland after losing the civil war. And KMT would not have survived without extensive foreign intervention that it got. Now the mainland is a superpower that has the vast majority of Chinese population under it, while Taiwan has to hope US doesn't lose interest or gives it up entirely because on it's own it won't survive.
It would be the equivalent of Britain intervening in the American Civil War and keeping the Confederacy alive in Florida.
>>
>>535317522
>Ethnic Chinese controlled it, the political system doesn’t matter
And these same people still control it. It can stay that way then and not be enshittified by china.
>>
I don't want China to take over Taiwan because I want to live there and I'm learning Chinese. Can't do the same with China because it's a zero immigration country pretty much. I'd love to live in Taiwan other than the weather.

>It would be the equivalent of Britain intervening in the American Civil War and keeping the Confederacy alive in Florida.
Well, they didn't. What's your point anyway?
>>
>>535318540
No, they speak the same language, although Taiwanese have a goofy accent in Mandarin and many in Taiwan speak the Hokkien language (which is still a Chinese Southern Min language spoken in parts of China).
>>
>>535316990
The CCP and the KMT are both communist parties, the divide being upheld is foreign meddling. The KMT still wants to rule the mainland probably, that's why they're opposed to rejoining officially and maintain this charade, funded by the USA.

Eh I don’t even care if the taiwanese were abbos, china controlling global chip supply will be kino.

I think a reunification war would be a massive humanitarian tragedy
but realistically, Taiwan/ROC only exists because the US parked its navy in the Taiwan strait

That doesn't really answer the qs in the OP-post, does it?

taiwan belongs to china, not ccp.
>>
>>535324301
>taiwan belongs to china
I guess Crimea belongs to Ukraine then, and Kosovo belongs to Serbia?
>>
>>535316990

It's nonsense.

If China and Taiwan merge, each should get equal seats in the joint parliament, since each brings exactly 1 country to the deal.
>>
>>535324633
>each should get equal seats in the joint parliament, since each brings exactly 1 country to the deal
Except that it doesn't, as China doesn't recognize Taiwan as a *country*.
>>

it's literally called republic of china, dumb dumb

It is literally in the Taiwanese consitution that they are the 'real' CHINA. Taiwan is a breakaway province of mainland China that only exists because of foreign (aka USA) interference.

After the end of the Chinese Civil War, Mao won and the remnants of the KMT fled to Taiwan. The reason why Mao didnt invade Taiwan is because of the entire US navy was literally in Japan after the end of WW2. And then the start of the Korean War started a few months later.

November 1949 : End of Chinese Civil War
June 1950 : Official start of the Korean War

Also, all polls from Taiwan mean nothing because it is based on their (false) assumption that the US would protect Taiwan in case of an invasion. Ask a new poll now after the Iran War and see what it is. With the decline of US power and the average Taiwanese knowing the US wont come to their 'protection', the overwhelming majority of Han Chinese people living in Taiwan today in 2026 would say they would prefer an orderly unification with China rather than a war everybody knows Taiwan would lose instantly.
>>
The neocons are literally saying that they need to turn Taiwain into a 'hellscape' in order to 'defend' it:
https://www.cnas.org/publications/reports/hellscape-for-taiwan

If it makes me a tankie to say that Taiwanese people should not want this, then I'm a tankie
