Police have released their mug shots in hopes of furthering the investigation into the extortion network that has wracked the community. Two men have been charged in connection with an extortion-related shooting on April 22 in Surrey. Damanjeet Singh, 22, and Pardaman Singh, 30, are both facing one count of discharging a firearm into a place knowing or being reckless as to whether someone was present, and one count of possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without a licence.As Damanjeet and Pardaman are both foreign nationals, the Canada Border Services Agency was also involved in the operation. The two men remain in custody, with their next court appearances on May 19 and June 1. As of May 11, there have been 16 extortion-related shootings and 98 reported extortions in Surrey this year. The SPS released photographs of the suspects in the hope that the public can assist with continuing investigations into the extortion networks that are plaguing B.C. and Canada.https://archive.today/cfAjN
