In 5 years from now we will run out of salt.

This was for the best. No more south american coups for lithium.

The Japs doomed a lot of people to be victims of american imperialism when they invented lithium ion batteries.

Doubly based because water it can use excess salts produced by water desalination plants. But is it really working tho?
>>
>>535665801
they have different electrical properties (unlike lithium, their discharge curve is not almost constant), which makes them useless for EVs and simliar uses, at least until they change the chemistry.
they are good for heating though.

>But is it really working tho?
Yes.

The real breakthrough is not actually the Natrium, it's the electrolyte that used to be liquid, it's now solid state.
>>
>>535667737
Lithium was already a common material for anodes (un-rechargeable) before lithium-ion. But I get it that you chinktards know nothing about pre-1990s.

I hate to break it for you chang, but the coup's weren't for lithium or any other resource for that matter.

>But is it really working tho?
Nope. Salt batteries over promised and under delivered. They were supposed to be cheaper, but a drop in Li prices fucked them, so its MORE than a Li battery to buy it.

So now you have a battery that is safer than Li and Lead Acid, but shittier than Li and only marginally better than Lead Acid, and weighs a fuckton and is a bitch electrically.

They will have niche applications for electricity storage at industrial scale, but consumer scale they are HOT GARBAGE for practically all uses. Want solar storage? Lithium reigns king here. Want portable storage? Lithium reigns king here. Want an EV? Again Lithium reigns king here. All consumer use is dominated by Li and that is not going to change anytime soon.

Now maybe in a decade or so when the salt battery tech gets incrementally improved over and over it MIGHT reach Li performance, but we are gonna need to wait. And it is always possible Li prices shoot up again, making salt cheaper.

The left will never run out of salt, just ask them.

Hey protip: salinity of the sea is relevant.
Granted, we'd have to have an impossibly massive adoption to ever actually affect it, but what I'm sayin' here is the sea stops working if you take enough salt out of it

i know absolutely nothing about these batteries or how lithium batteries are better than lead acid, nickel wtv. BUT i heard we was gonna make plastic batteries or futuristic graphene batteries soon.

Seething Mutt.
These batteries actually work at minus 30 celcius when it's important, for example in Russian/Canadian winters.
>>
>>535673902
>futuristic graphene batteries soon.
This is it, Mutt, that's the ones mentioned in OP.

China is pretty much at a science fiction stage compared to Muttmerica at this point.

Chinese dominance of lithium mines is over.
They will no longer have to massacre villagers and coup governments for it.

The Nazi-like PRC sure seems like a successful form of government. Whites should take note.

Didn't some nerds at MIT invent iron ion batteries?
