$3220 per month to live in the US, post-tax, pre-tax it's $4300 or $26/hour. Guess how much a cashier at Dollar General makes? $9/hour. Guess how much an Amazon wageslave makes? $18/hour.

There are few places in America where rent is only $1,200. You're renting a fucking room for that price.

Americans are poorer than actual 3rd worlders by the way. My girlfriend's country rent is $150 but the minimum wage there $300. Professionals make 3 times that. Also not forking out money for gas to not freeze to death in some Midwest shithole, or also not forking out $800 per month just to have a shitty car.

>>536242271
Property values are like 90% of the average consumers wealth. Too many people have mortgages for there to be cheap housing. Cheap housing is a sure fire way to economic decline. So many local governments depend on housing prices rising at above inflation for there to be any change. Most local governments will bend over backwards to insure that home owners get what they want in order to increase housing prices in that area. The more expensive home ownership is the more beurocrats get paid and conversely the more beurocrats get paid the more housing prices go up. Everything in small-town and middle america revolves around local housing prices and therefore everything revolves around home owners and whatever increases those prices. If a home owner says "jump" the local government jumps.

Rare poorfag here, bc everyone on pol is a millionaire etc.

I make like 14 to 16 dollars an hour driving Uber.

Rent: $600 (hook up from my landlord Uncle)
Food: $200 to 300...I wish I could eat more. I haven't had 3 meals in a day for 3 or 4 years now
Internet and phone: $180, I'm making payments on a new phone I got recently. I need this for my job.
Health insurance: None
Car payment: I own my car, but it's at 100k miles, maybe another 50k left.
Gasoline: I spend a lot more on gas than other people as a driver. I already subtracted this cost from the wage stated above.
Car insurance: $100ish
Sewage and water: Included in my rent
Electricity and gas: $60 to 80 dollars

My monthly expenses are like 1300 dollars, and I save about 700 to 1000 a month depending on how much I feel like working. Imagine me spending the next 20 years of my life working every single month nonstop, and only netting around 200k.

20 years, 200k. Lol. Lmao, even. About to join the Navy. By the way, I have a clean record and have never stolen or assaulted anyone. I am neurodivergent and couldn't cut it in society after I got my Bachelor's degree. White male, single, no recourse but to die for zog. No one will date me bc I'm a poor white. The only bright spot in my life is that I'm decent looking and have a lot of free time to exercise and stay healthy. No one cares about your character in Shartmerica, though. I would probably be better off moving to Italy or somewhere in Europe, America society is so fucking chopped

>Blah blah blah, life is too expensive
>Blah blah blah Americans are struggling to afford necessities

If that were true, then why do I see restaurants and bars packed every weekend? Why do I see streets filled with cars despite has supposedly being too expensive? Why are people still spending so much money on frivolous things when they supposedly can't afford groceries or rent?

Sorry, but I'm just not buying this whole "Americans are struggling" crap. It's a psyop to make people more open to communist/socialist policies.
>>
>>536242627
You got to also add in that while Uber charges $70 to customers for a ride, they steal like half of it so you, the driver, only gets like $35. Then add in that you are a private contractor so have to pay your employer's part of FICA too. Then add in that YOU are paying for gas, insurance, and wear and tear on your vehicle.

Perfect kike scheme really.

America has always been for the 1%. In fact, right now it's so easy to be part of the 1% because nobody tries anymore, and everybody is literally retarded. If you aren't making at the minimum $300k then you either aren't trying or you're retarded or you're under 30. Health insurance is a straight up liability if you make less than mid 6figs a year gross. You only put yourself in a position to end up in long term debt and lose out on the opportunity to take advantage of endowments set aside specifically for financial aid purposes.

Certain percentages of the population are locked in to certain valuations. It's literally impossible for everyone to make what the value of 300k/year is because if they did, inflation would revalue it to the new 50k.
It is a rigged game of relativity. You can ome out ahead as individual, but not everyone can. The only way you can increase the wealth of your entire nation universally is to extract that value at the expense of a foreign nation.

It is impossible for everyone to be the 1%. But the bar for reaching the 1% is the lowest it has ever been. Higher education is declining, especially among males, and people are pursuing useless degrees. Compare this to China or India, where everyone maximizes for useful degrees. It's much harder there, because the competition is so fierce and everybody is a genius. Here? Everyone is a retard. If you cannot beat 99% of the retards, you are one.

The kikes or honorary kikes at the top manipulate the relative valuations from the top down to ensure their money stays just as much "more" than everyone else's as it has been, whi h is as much as it can be.

India lol. Dude, even in China and India, there are street vendors and people that can afford to keep existing doing basic stuff like collecting cans for scrap money. Tell me how far that would get you in the US, even if you were LEGALLY allowed to do it? The barrier to entry is EXTREMELY high in the US.

I'm trying to convey to you, that your education experience in America is much easier than in China or India. You can twist the statement to delude yourself however you want, but in actuality, if you were to take the median American high school student and place him in a Chinese or Indian high school, the chance of them getting into a decent higher education institution is miserably low. In America you can get into a top university if you just try a little. I know because that's what I did, and I didn't get in through my skin color (which is even easier).

But employment is not a meritocracy - you are not able to beat the retards if you can never even have access to someone who can actually understand your abilities face to face, vs some harpy cunt hiring based on feelz. Hence the DEI imbeciles making $300k to "manage" others by answering a few emails from home and such while you can languish with all the skills in the world. Employment was never about how good you are at anything, it's just performance art, luck, feelz, and being a fucking jester (DEI, troons, etc.) and mostly nepotism and shit.
>>
>>536243552
>And how are you paying for your car??
Don't buy shit you need to finance for one because if the bank isn't covering it for you while you pay them back you aren't forced to have full coverage. Liability is all you legally need almost everywhere and with the right car liability can be like $50/mo. I don't have any poverty cars anymore but when I did around 15 years ago my 90s ranger only cost like $30/mo to insure as a 20something single male. I'm sure prices have gone up since then but not that much. People get bullied way too easily into buying cars/trucks they don't remotely need to try to impress people they don't like or respect in the first place. So many people's lives are hobbled because of multiple instances of shit like that working in tandem to keep them barely scraping by.

>>
>>536243688
Well, the average Indian or Chinese isn't some professional like in the US. They are street vendors, farmers, small business manufacturers, etc. Because of that, the cost of living and the economy there reflects that. Meanwhile here, because the average American is a white collar professional, the cost of living reflects that too. But it is a HELL of a lot harder and more expensive to become a professional than it is to sell curry on the street or repair motorcycles.

I think you're too caught on China and India, when it's irrelevant. I'm providing two simple examples of countries where the bar for reaching the 1% is exponentially harder. That's all. Imagine a game with multiple servers. The players in the US server are playing inefficiently, leveling up incredibly slowly, have retarded builds, so if you're a decent player in the Asia server, you can easily be a 1% player in the US server. There being statistically more street shitters in India than the US is irrelevant to the point.

My girlfriend (she's from Peru) is like that. Meanwhile, rent in some districts of Lima is only $120 per month. Minimum wage is $300 per month. Professionals make 3-4 times that.

Like a geologist here will only make $40K as a mudlogger wageslave in North Dakota. Meanwhile there, they make like $15K, but they are paying way less than 2.7x for everything and Peruvian formal employment laws are some of the best in the world.

>Loaning to buy an asset with a ridiculous depreciation curve
The problem isn't wages, job market, etc. It's financial literacy.
>>
>>536241867
Paying too much for health insurance, car payment, and car insurance. In fact... just take public transit and you cut more than $800 (it's more because of maintenance on a depreciating asset). Actually work full time and get your health insurance from the company, it's cheaper or even free, you should be getting subsidies at such a low income even without this. You can cut more by living with a partner, who also works, or a roommate. If you're actual poverty level income your food is can basically free on a $400 budget with SNAP.

Rent: $1200 (Lower with roommate)
Food: $400 (Lower with SNAP)
Internet and phone: $70
Sewage and water: $200 (Lower with roommate)
Electricity and gas: $150 (Lower with roommate)

Total is now $2,020 (max), $15/hr at full time is enough for that, the minimum you need is highly dependent on rent at this point and if you can't make enough for it to work where you live due to cost of living you should move. Minimum is the key word... it's what you need to live minimally. Minimum wage is supposed to be enough to survive and to build skills, they aren't supposed to be treated as careers.

Pirate all your entertainment, don't buy shit you don't need, take advantage of every deal you can find, take any free shit you can get (sell it if you can't use it), join rewards programs, use coupons, if you have willpower use a cash back credit card for everything and pay it off on time and in full every month, etc. Put every penny you have in a HYSA until you have enough to actually invest. This feels like you're saving pennies but if you do it right it adds up quick. Every dollar you save at 18 years old should be worth at least $28 when you retire.

>>536243971
Truly, it's still easy mode even today if you're not a fuck up and have some modicum of self control. People act like they should be able to buy a 4 bedroom house, buy the newest iPhone every year, take expensive vacations, etc doing jobs meant for teenagers entering the workforce.

No they don't. They freeball because as I said earlier in the thread there is no benefit to having health insurance as someone below the minimum threshold to get kicked off of financial aid at hospitals, which last I checked back before covid hit was almost $200k/yr gross. Unless you're making the kind of money that surgeons make health insurance is retarded as a single adult.
>The latter no, you still need a car unless you are living in a giant city
You don't need to finance a car to have a car dumbass. I know you're still 20 and your mind is a jumble of a thousand dumb things you heard someone pull out of their ass once but you do not fucking finance a vehicle when you're poor except under extremely specific circumstances, IE you moved cross country because you just secured a high paying job. You buy a shitty looking minivan from a private seller and ride that thing until the wheels fall off. Even today you can get them in the sub $1000 range from strangers and if you live near extended family or friends you can often get one damn near free just for getting it off their property. A car is a car is a car and people who aren't coddled babies recognize this and aren't too prideful to drive a minivan or a pt cruiser or some other shitty looking pile that'll knock but run for a couple years. Car payments when you lack the assets to be able to consider your investment returns vs loan interest rates are fucking retarded. Poors should not even be thinking about them.

I'm talking about ERs and hospitals generally but especially Catholic hospitals for their in house financial aid programs. They have massive endowments set aside specifically for uninsured poors. And to them poor is a very different thing than most people assume. That's why I keep bringing up how being insured is such a financial liability. Not only are you on the hook for the premiums every month and the huge deductibles when you have to go in, your financial aid status uses completely different tables and you can end up on the hook to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars for something that would be 100% covered or otherwise waived if you simply weren't insured. The entire system is kiked up and gay but you are doing yourself a massive disservice as a single person by being insured. Ideally the price scale would be exactly like a auto mechanic or machine shop and everything would be done in cash, but unfortunately that's not the world we live in so instead we have this gay jewish system where everything is obfuscated and hiked and you have to play chicken and waste hours on the phone fighting with 3rd worlders in call centers to get your charges negotiated to something you can feasibly afford.

I don't know what to tell you. You go to their financial office and request an aid application. Fill it out with your tax info for the last year or two and unless your earnings are very high or you have massive amounts of assets most if not all of the charge gets covered. I know because it happened to me over a decade ago. I got in a wreck and broke some bones which needed fixation. I got the surgery, fully prepared to have to negotiate a cash payment that would have wiped out my savings but after submitting my aid application, I got a letter back a month later informing me the balance had been waived in its entirety. I was making around 45k/yr at that time.

I’m 26, still living at home because I can’t even afford rent on my slave wage job. My parents remind me every day how pathetic that is, like I don’t already wake up every morning with a pit in my stomach. “Work harder,” they say. “Get more hours.” As if I’m not already grinding 10-hour shifts like a dog just to barely afford gas and instant noodles. Like slaving away harder is suddenly going to magically spawn affordable housing or a livable wage. Delusional.

And then there’s Pan Piano. This woman has life handed to her on a velvet platter because she was born with tits and figured out how to weaponize them. That’s it. That’s literally it. She puts on a sexy Nezuko cosplay, half her chest hanging out, sits at a piano, barely moves her hands, and somehow that’s worth millions. No speaking, no charisma, no effort beyond squeezing into a costume and pressing a few keys.

She doesn’t even have to engage with people. Just films a cleavage shot with some anime tune playing and the simps line up to throw money at her like she’s a goddess. Meanwhile, I’m treated like human garbage by customers, my boss, and my own family—and what do I get in return? Less than nothing. A life that’s going nowhere. My only “luxury” is sleeping in a bedroom I haven’t redecorated since middle school.

Why does she get everything for doing nothing? Why is she celebrated for just existing while I’m told I’m not trying hard enough, not doing enough, not being enough?

I’m so bitter I can taste it. I don’t even hate her because she’s successful. I hate that she gets to coast while people like me are treated like burdens for simply surviving.

This world rewards surface-level bullshit and punishes effort unless you’re already pretty or connected. There’s no justice, no fairness. Just Pan Piano living in luxury for shaking her tits in cosplay while I rot under fluorescent lights for crumbs and get told “you just need to work harder.”

Fuck.

Okay, /pol/, let me break it down. I need someone to explain why the cosmos is rigged. I work 10-hour shifts at McDonald's, flipping hamburgers, cleaning fryers, and getting shouted at by Boomers because the McFlurry machine is broken. I make $10 per hour, just enough to keep my Civic (which shakes every time it exceeds 50 mph) running, and I come home smelling of oil and broken dreams. Meanwhile, Pan Piano—a YouTuber who cosplays and performs anime music—is living a life I never imagined was possible.

Let's be clear: I resent her. Not because she is doing anything wrong, but because she is really living her greatest life by playing the piano while costumed as characters from Demon Slayer, such as Nezuko.

Yes, Nezuko. She plays Demon Slayer opener in a tight pink kimono cosplay, and millions of people shower her with money like it's going out of style. Me? I strive to save for a new pair of shoes, but I still come up short by payday.

She owns everything. TWO children, a husband, and parents who genuinely love her. Imagine telling your family, "I dressed as Nezuko and played piano for YouTube today," and their response being, "We're so proud of you, honey, here's some new camera equipment." My parents? They informed me last week that they "regret ever having me" and openly stated that I was a "failed experiment in parenting." My father's latest moniker for me is "McFailure," and my mother told me to go to "trade school" to become a plumber or weld, because at least it's useful.

No the dude you replied to, but for the record:

I live in a strong trump rural area. Big red here. There is nothing to rent under $1400 for a 1br/1bath unit except for section 8 housing, which is $750/month, and that has years long waiting list.

Gas is currently peaking near $5/gallon. Bread isn’t bad-$3 for a no brand loaf and milk at $7 for store brand.

This is west Texas. And people simply can’t pickup and move. So, surrounded by mountains and desert they live in little Home Depot sheds, if they’re lucky, or in tents outside of the town. Or with family.

Landlords don’t even bother to clean between residents. Even the “nice” places don’t bother. So that $3000/month rental is caked with grime and filth when you move in. That’s the standard here from the greedy property owners.

West Texas is packed with more investment properties than I’d ever seen in Dallas or Houston. It’s wild. Lubbock, for example, people build new investment homes designed to be housing for students. Row after row of brick investment homes with fucked up plans and weird room layouts. Then they want $1200/person in a 4 bedroom house for down payment.

Buying a house is impossible even for me, and I make 6 figures. I was too late to the show. 10 years ago they were giving away land here for nothing. Just nothing. Now even terlingua is rape city.

So, man, don’t blame the left for shit the right is doing too. Blame them all.

And this new law that limits people/corporations to 350 homes…wtf. I just want 1, man. Just one. Dang.

I’m a 32-year-old American man who’s never had friends or a girlfriend because of my crazy, overbearing mother. I can’t get away from her despite working 12 hours a day, six days a week, because rent is absolutely insane. I feel like I’m trapped in this endless cycle of misery, and I honestly don’t know why I even bother anymore.

Meanwhile, I see people like my favorite jerkoff YouTuber, Pan Piano, who somehow gets paid $300k a year just for wearing sexy anime cosplay and playing piano with her aging Asian tits hanging out. She has non-crazy parents who actually love her, a husband, three kids, a paid-off house, and a car. She lives a carefree life while I suffer through this grind, working my ass off for nothing. How is this even fair?

I’ve thought about just quitting. Why should I keep going to work when it feels so hopeless? My dad’s advice is basically, “Work harder, put in more hours, and just deal with it,” but that doesn’t work. I’ve tried, and even if it did work now, it won’t five years from now with inflation making everything worse.

What am I expected to do? Seriously, how are men in this situation supposed to cope? I just feel like I’m being set up to fail no matter what. It’s just not fair. Why was I even born?

Found out today that Pan Piano, the YouTube cosplayer who plays anime openings in skimpy outfits, has a husband, three kids, a paid-off house, and a car. She films herself half-dressed pressing piano keys while millions of desperate guys throw money and praise at her like she’s some goddess. She barely talks, doesn’t even have to pretend she has a personality. And she’s set for life. Comfort, love, stability, attention, all of it handed to her for doing the bare minimum.

I’m 32. I did everything I was told to do. Got a computer science degree. No debt. Never slacked off. I worked part-time through college, pulled all-nighters, stayed disciplined while everyone else partied and hooked up. And for what. No one hired me. Every application either ignores me or tells me I don’t have enough experience. I can’t even get an interview for entry-level jobs. The degree means nothing. The hard work meant nothing. No one cares.

I work in a warehouse now. Twelve hour shifts under flickering lights. My back hurts constantly. Holidays are just longer days. I come home to my parents’ crumbling house in a dead town where nothing grows except regret. I make just enough to stay alive and not enough to leave.

Never had a girlfriend. Never been on a date. Never even kissed anyone. Still a virgin. No one’s ever looked at me with interest. I haven’t had a real friend since kindergarten. Every day is the same blank grey haze. I don’t even know why I keep going to work. There’s nothing to hope for. No light at the end. Just the same loop until I die. Can someone explain to me why I should bother to even get up tomorrow to work? I feel like I’m just finished and it never even started for me.

In 2018 I rented a 1br1b 770sqft apartment for $875 a month. That same apartment, with zero changes, is now listed for $1675 per month. It costs more to live there now than it does for me to own my 2100sqft 4br2.5b home.

The problem is, young Americans don't have the capital to put a down payment for a house, so they can't get an actual house that's cheaper, so they're stuck renting.
>>
>>536259569
You say that like I don't agree. Rental prices are out of control and there is no justification for it. The cost of maintaining these properties has not increased 2x-3x in such a short timeframe. It is pure greed.

* "A 2023 survey conducted by Payroll.org highlighted that 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, a 6% increase from the previous year. In other words, more than three-quarters of Americans struggle to save or invest after paying for their monthly expenses.
Similarly, a 2023 Forbes Advisor survey revealed that nearly 70% of respondents either identified as living paycheck to paycheck (40%) or—even more concerning—reported that their income doesn’t even cover their standard expenses (29%)." - https://archive.ph/0G3Tx

* "Roughly 111 million people — 50% of Americans with a credit card and 40% of the U.S. adult population — carry credit card debt" - https://www.cbsnews.com/news/record-share-americans-cant-pay-credit-card-bills/

* "While 100 million Americans have at least some medical debt, about 7.4% of U.S. residents experience catastrophic healthcare expenses annually, more than double the rate of any other developed nation. Here, medical debt is defined as experiencing problems paying or being unable to afford any medical bills in the past 12 months, including those for doctors, dentists, hospitals, therapists, medication, equipment, nursing home or home care. And the term catastrophic is defined as out-of-pocket spending exceeding 40% of a household’s income after basic necessities have been met. Further, estimates suggest that inability to afford costs of medical care contributes to at least 530,000 personal bankruptcy filings annually. Approximately two-thirds of personal bankruptcies in the U.S. are associated with medical expenses or illness-related loss of work." - https://www.forbes.com/sites/joshuacohen/2026/04/05/increasing-burdens-of-medical-debt-and-bankruptcy-are-uniquely-american/

We get it dude. Women have life on easy tutorial hacker mode, as long as they don’t get crazy fat. It’s well known.

That’s life. Yeah we can get stuck in lame jobs, and envy people who have it easy.. but there’s no point in wallowing in it & obsessing.
Don’t think about negative things & don’t compare yourself - you’ll always find people who have it easier better because nobody can be the all time best.

Let go of all that & focus your energy towards a better or at least more comfy job since that’s what your posts are about. Don’t work harder, just keep throwing resumes at people until they give you a chance.

It’ll take a long time because of “”how things are”” but eventually you’ll get out of the rut.
I’m a hopeless retarded 30yo with a shite life, but yet there’s still hope ya’know?
Nothing to kys over, at least not immediately, so why not pester stupid hiring managers with having to review your resume?
Worst they can do is ignore it or reject you, not the end of the world. Same with asking women out, or not.. it doesn’t matter either way as long as you aren’t totally emotionally invested.
Idk dude, you’ve prob been told this before or read similar posts… but dude you gotta drop this pan piano eceleb obsession, it’s pathetic. You can do it!
Not tryna be mean, just honest.

Mick is right. Real estate is a safe but boring investment beaten by putting your capital on the S&P500 (or local equivalent) and waiting, with less hassle. The reason for the extravagant rents is simply that there is not enough on offer, with too few and too expensive constructions in the places people want to live in or find work. The reason for this is that it is too expensive to build because of retarded 6 million regulations around it. It would be easy to house people for cheaper if it were legal to mass build the shacks that industrial revolution workers lived in (even with modern plumbing and wiring), or the human hives things you find in Asian megacities.
Obviously immigration doesn't help by having more people to house and condemning many neighborhood as undesirable because they've turned into browntown.

Fellow uber niggers! I find that the best way of maximizing profit from being a uber nigger is to stay near airports and rich areas and minmax my time by working specific hours. Being an uber nigger is ultimately a cuck Jew job for immigrants, so you need to work like an immigrant to make it work for you. Usually multi-apping where you run Lyft, DoorDash, Grubhub, spark, or something in tandem. Uber is best done when you have a part time job during down hours, so you can drive at peak hours imo, it’s not meant to be an actual source of income, especially with all the rules regarding taxes. I make a point of establishing rapport with my riders and giving them my personal info so I can sell them drugs and give them rides without using uber so I make more money. You have to be unethical a bit to get ahead in this environment. Consider if you are a white man, getting a second phone, and running a second account with falsified information. It usually takes months for them to catch you and deactivate the account but by that point you’ve already made a few thousand and there’s nothing to be done about it.

I've been a NEET since 2017, on the gibs because my parents bought into psych bullshit my whole childhood and teenage years and then some Indian psych bitch recommended SSDI to my parents, who hounded me and threatened to kick me out if I didn't go along with getting it.

So I got it, and have been living in an apartment on the bare minimum to survive since 2012. That's all changing though because some gigantic real estate company bought out the shithole apartment complex and next year the rent and utility costs will be too much compared to the $1150 I get monthly, and this is still the cheapest apartment in my city. I live in fucking Ohio, seems like they're pricing out completely the destitute poors and NEETs on gibs entirely. It's the exact same shithole apartment I was paying $450 a month back in 2012, no renovations and barely any repairs but now they expect $1000+ a month to live here.

I guess all rides end, but god damn the work environments in USA are fucking atrocious. I have 9 years of experience in retail personally, and I tried to work in some thrift store tending to donations earlier this year. Lasted two months, couldn't stand working with bitch managers who wanted to micromanage every single fucking thing around my job with a cuntish attitude to boot. If there was nothing to do, they had me re-arrange the same fucking 10 shelves where they put the donations for sale for 3-4 consecutive hours. I put my head down and just would bear with it, until I noped out and just never showed up again.

I can't imagine how hellish workplace politics is for the higher paying jobs here, if people in fucking minimum wage retail are stabbing each other in the back through poisonous gossip and infighting, I can only imagine how it is for those with a lot more to lose.

The average working normie is miserable, and it seems their only solace is to spread that misery around them in the workplace.

idk how you find a job that pays that litttle. $20/hr is normal for a starting position. You might just have to live in a trailer or in your parents' basement if you can't get that.
>>
>>536268812
Omg I'm so impressed, you are truly successful and I wish you all the best with the incest
>>
>>536275076
>$20/h is actually low
>Yet another glownigger lying on the internet
Seriously what the fuck is this? Just saying shit that's very obviously false doesn't move any needle. Nor does it actually oppress anyone. All it does is piss people off and move you closer to revolution and getting your head fucking chopped off.
>>
>>536271420
That 900 would be going for the mortgage, you'd have to live with your parents for 10 years to save up for it
>>
>>536271029
Enjoy getting droned when you have to force open the Hormussy to boost Trump's approval rating and pump his stocks.
>>
I live with my parents, pay $180 for a year for cell service and bought a $2k run-and-drive old camry.

lmao
>>
>>536269074
This, boomers are also the only people I see at tourist spots and upscale shopping areas. They're all nigger rich with HELOC cash and pissing it away 24/7.
>>
>>536274172
Anything in the trades except welder. Don't even bother with college you're too dumb and probably too ugly to be an influencer.

It looks the same as any Western apartment lol.

## 4chan /pol/ Discussion: American Cost of Living and Economic Strain

Users on 4chan's /pol/ board express deep frustration over the high cost of living in the U.S., contrasting rising expenses with stagnant wages.

**Key Details:**
- **Financial Strain**: Posts detail monthly costs of $3,000–$5,000+ for essentials like rent, healthcare, and transport.
- **Wage Disparity**: Users highlight the gap between minimum wage jobs ($9–$18/hr) and the income needed to survive ($26+/hr).
- **Regional Discontent**: Debates rage over whether affordable rent ($1,200) is realistic, with many citing higher costs in cities and rural job shortages.
- **Systemic Criticism**: Comments blame inflation, greedy landlords, poor financial literacy, and a rigged economic system for making the "American Dream" unattainable.

**The Bottom Line:**
The thread reflects a pervasive sense of economic hopelessness, with users feeling trapped by unaffordable necessities and low-paying jobs despite working hard.

They should go back to their country then
>>
>>536278202
what country so i can check,
>>
>>536277480
There’s zero fucking prospects for this, jobs are not available in the trades where I’m at unless I was 14-17 an hour for years on end. That ship has sailed. Better off working at McDonald’s as a manager and being an uber nigger.
>>
>>536279232
why didnt you put anything in there about my posts
>>
I pay
Rent 835 (3bd 2 ba in NC)
Electric 70
Gas 15
Water 45
Phone+internet 55
Car payment 500 (trying to pay it off faster it is lower though)
Insurance 60
Gas 160
Gym 40
Food 200-250 sometimes Iower
Student loans 393
Probably another 300 in random medical debt/personal debt

I make a +25 an hour and frequently get OT. I pay all my bills and some debt including my vehicle loan off faster. And still manage to build up my checking account for emergency funds. I put nothing on cards anymore and plan on never doing it again.

Peru. The buildings look like shit on the outside, while the insides look like any Western apartment.

This is from her relatives' house in another city
>>
>>536242394
But your "work" visa is expiring next month
>>
>>536280452

Here's how many Peruvian houses look on the inside.
>>
Heres what I pay in Texas a "cheap" state

Housing: ~$1,915/month (100$ a month for water)
Groceries: ~$337/month
Car insurance: ~$150/month
Electricity: ~$117/month
Student loans 500$ a month

I have a good job so I make 6000$ a month after taxes but every year when I file I owe 10000$ which is around the equivalent of 840$ a month gone.

I make exactly six figures before taxes and I feel I'm struggling. Hard to imagine most people make half of what I do
>>
>>536241867
>Rent: $1200
>Food: $400
>Internet and phone: $70
>Health insurance: $400
>Car payment: $400
>Gasoline: $200
>Car insurance: $200
>Sewage and water: $200
>Electricity and gas: $150

Guess what you stupid fuck. When you only make $15/hr those are not your expenses. You get roommates etc.
>>
>>536242946
You being a rock bottom loser does not mean there is a class war.
>>
>>536252424
>It is supposed to be a comfortable, liveable wage. That is what it was created for.

You have simply made up bullshit and injected it.
>>
>>536253011
Reality is reality, grow up and learn to deal with it like everyone else has done.
>>
>>536281830
It's literally a bot.
>>
>>536242692
Debt
>>
>>536281937
Except not that either. Most credit cards only give you a certain credit limit, which is low. If you have no or garbage credit, you need a secured credit card which means you need a secured deposit and it's basically a debit card.

Getting a credit card that allows you to "debt spend" isn't actually that easy...
>>
>>536242150
The only way I got away with that was inheriting the lease from my dead mom. I'd be fucked otherwise I make peanuts.
>>
>>536242193
Just listen to a whore get fucked by chad/Tyrone in the next room theory
>>
>>536264392
holy fucking shit balls. I pay $130 every 6 months on a Ford Fusion (liability). We have like the cheapest auto insurance in the country in this state.
>>
>>536264518
get starlink or get verizon/tmobile home internet if possible. We used to pay like 80 for charter and now its like 40 for Verizon.
>>
>>536242855
Remember too, alot of shitskins live like roaches 20 motherfuckers in one tiny apartment, so they save that way. Whites and niggers don't live like that as much
>>
>>536241867
Americans literally live in poverty.
America's poverty threshold for a family of 5 is at around $31000. This threshold was first made official in the early 60s and it hasn't been adjusted since.
The average household income is around $80000.
If you remove the top 1000 household incomes (approximately 0.0003% of all the population) the average household income drops to a whooping $34,000. Again, the poverty threshold hasn't been updated since the 60s.

Americans are factually poor. Any American telling you that he has a lavish life is more than likely blatantly lying or too stupid to realize he's poor.

>run ye olde coppersmithing stall
>sell shit ranging from $3-$400
>everybody says how cool all of the shit is, visible emotional attachment formed in nano seconds, kids want to play with all of the merchandise, grown ass men getting excited
>50% of them moaning that they don't even have $20
>95% joke that they can't make a $400 payment in a few years
You are staggeringly, unbelievably, magnificently, jaw-droppingly unsmart and you will be sucking syphilated dick just to make ends meet in the coming collapse, you worthless mouthbreather
>>
>>536282931
Everyone in the world is poor, being poor in America is rich.
>>
>>536283035
It is very low IQ to think some personal recall disqualifies what he stated. The actual smart move is to go look at the data and show him how he is mistaken but you cannot do that.
>>
>>536283079
This is cope. You are literally poor by your own country's standards from back in the 60s.
>>
>>536283144
I see you are one of those very smart people that just needs to look at statistics and reports made by other disingenuous unscrupulous mouthbreathers to dismiss reality. We are in awe of how deftly you masturbate yourself in front of your community.
>company FAAG with a 30 country footprint reports their average worker salary is $200k
>apply that to the median salary of 1 country
>see???? median income in 1 country is 120k!!! you're just poor lmao
>don't believe your lying eyes!
Just because somebody wears a tie and makes an official report doesn't mean they know what they're doing or are telling the truth
>>
>>536242855
Lmfao the people out and about right now are van lifers / nomads. Everyone is at work and too broke to do anything else. Many recent restaurant closures.
>t. socalchad
>>
>>536283144
>just trust the government bro
Anyone with eyes and ears can tell you things have slowed down massively this year. Fucken retard
>>
>>536283865
You simply want to believe what you want to believe.
>>
>>536284010
>slowed down

That is not what was stated or being rebuked or argued about. Go fuck yourself.
>>
>>536284093
>durrr hurr look at the data
>don’t trust jews except for this one important data point that supports my worldview
Embarrassing migger tourist faggot
>>
>>536284308
Okay fine everyone is struggling, I am sure the government will bump you over a check any day now.
>>
>>536284452
More people are struggling than aren’t. Do you need real non jew data points like delinquent debt, car repos, the real inflation numbers, housing market, etc etc etc? Crime is up, jobs are down. You gotta be a real braindead boomer or a delusional migger to say things are going good. Gas is 7 dollars a gallon why we go to war for Israel.
>”Suck it up, poors”
Gonna be a harsh reckoning when shtf
>>
>>536284631
Cool I will post when I get my government check. I am sure you will get yours first.
>>
>>536284773
Bro you’re just a retard. Shut the fuck up. A government check wouldn’t solve anything, would it? Printing money is what started this mess, isn’t it?? The decline is here.
>>
>>536285029
>The decline is here.

Right the decline is here so we have to embrace communism, which means we will just get free money and live in a utopia.

Stop being a boomer migger.
