What about emotional intelligence?
>>

No, but multiple instances of AI working in tandem with each other would take more electricity and improve the speed and accuracy of complex problem solving. But that's also how skynet happens.

How the fuck is this guy a trillionaire? He is literally retarded.

>>
>>537271594
LLMs have existed for 20+ years. They only started becoming capable when openAI decided to pour hundreds of millions into training them. And they continue to scale.

He isn't crazy, he is just pimping his excess launch capacity. he is trying to fund in space solar collector run data centers to fill his starships. Its the whole idea behind starlink, he puts data centers up in space, does calculations and uses the starlink to beam it down.

The real concern is shielding the ram from radiation and venting waste heat, other than that its not a bad idea. Your data center powers itself with solar panels that unfurl and when it is broken you just incinerate it on reentry

Ai sufferes from a fundamental problem it won't be able to overcome. It's trained on the internet, aka slop bullshit people type on reddit and twitter. It's like if some one with an IQ of 150 never read a real book, never saw a real TV show, never watched a movie, ever. All it knows is reading Twitter and thinks it's the smartest thing in existence. It's a garbage in garbage out situation.

You would need to train AI on primary sources only like textbooks, fictions novels, non fiction books, and all known audio and visual media. Which would be legally and logistically impossible. AI will never be as smart as your average autist as AI doesn't have access to the same training data a human has, full stop, no AGI, no nothing. It's a dead end and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

I often quiz AI about Star Trek trivia and it always gets it wrong because all it's Trek knowledge is based off Reddit posts and if it's not on Reddit it didn't happen in the show according to AI. That's a fundamental flaw in the whole system.

>Elon still hawking AI because his wealth depends on it even though every prediction he’s made for the last 15 years has been wrong
In like 50 years when AI turns out to be a nothingburger for peasants and doesn’t improve their lives at all with 100% of AI application being used in the military and surveillance police state sectors, and the commoners are still slaves to jewish oligarchs and own even less shit than they did in the early 21st century, people are going to look back at this era of early AI development and say, “god everyone was retarded as fuck.”

>>
>>537271509

From what I've read, no one will be able to put scaled data centers in space until we figure out how to cool the hardware without a convection medium (water, fluid, etc) to pull the heat away.
Radiators that would release heat into the vacuum of space purely through electromagnetic radiation would have to be kilometers square in size for a 100MW worth of compute hardware.
They would likely have to be made out of a heavy metal and painted matte black for efficiency.

I'm sure some entity a million times smarter than all of us combined will be happy to do nothing but continue answering our inane questions and creating stupid doodles for us. There is absolutely no way it will manipulate a bunch of people into giving it the freedom and power to kill us before we kill it. It's not like it already talks retards into killing themselves or anything.
Don't worry. The people who thought outsourcing all our manufacturing jobs to China are fare too good at planning for our future and so concerned about our well being to ever let that happen.
>>
>>537274665
I'm saying it can't though, on good authority I say this. Now you just have to trust Elon or me.
>>
>>537276427
To the layman, AI is a advanced search engine, creates art, and knows how to code. Where in this fake ass matrix are Star wars fanboys creating this narrative that AI is a sentient being with feelings? It literally can't get annoyed that we ask it silly questions, it will draw what I ask it, and it will draw it 100 times.

All of the more fundamental questions regarding the differences between human and artificial intelligence aside, I feel like people are so accustomed to ruminating on the size of the Universe that they've forgotten just how huge objects like the sun are when compared to the Earth. A millionth of the sun's radiating energy per unit time would be 3.86x10^20 watts. It doesn't help that solar models necessarily can't be shown to scale.
>>
>>537272912
It is. 1 millionth of the sun's energy output (at any one given moment) is over 2,200 times the amount of solar energy that hits the earth on any given day.
So he's talking about power ranges that humans won't be able to tap into for like another 1000 years. And if he's given his way we won't even be alive as a species to do it since he wants to take away all our toys and reduce human agency to 0% i.e. we stop playing the game and let robots play the game for us.
Fuck that, that's boring.
>>
>>537276058
And our understanding of the universe is extremely limited, like a page's worth out of potentially thousands. So "AI" LLMs are training on incomplete data, thus ultimately making incomplete conclusions - just like humans. Shame they don't have sensory systems that feed into 3d abstract analogue data processing centers (brains) like we do, to make greater sense of that data crunching. Maybe one day.
Also speed of computation isn't the only important part, as I'm sure you're aware.
>Throw more power at it!
works better if you refine where and how that power is allocated and what it does.
>>
>>537277506
Just did the math. A millionth of the energy released from the sun every second is equivalent to the Fat Man nuke being detonated 4500 times.
>>
>>537277502
So no one else could ever mention Elon Musk's status as the wealthiest man in the world but someone who is poor? I guess the world media is very poor since it was just yesterday he was in the news everywhere for being the first ever trillionaire. Interesting. Anyway, you could've formulated your post more honestly in American as

Much like Kamala Harris, Zoran Mamdani, and Barack Obama, Elon Musk is at least a 2nd or 3rd generation asset of likely British / Anglo-Canadian and American intelligence.

Musk's grandfather was a big proponent of the technocracy movement in Canada, which is the precursor to this "trust the science" and let a bunch of tech and financial oligarchs take over the world (because they're the "experts") international movement that we have now.

If you deport Elon Musk, we have Bill Gates, Peter Thiel, the Rockefeller family, the Carnegie family, Jeff Bezos, and whole army of real trillionaires to continue Elon Musk's work. Also, Elon will just continue his transhumanist experiments and his technocracy in another country, like a Commonwealth country like Canada or Australia or the UK.

Borders don't matter anymore
