>>544296049if you cant tell the difference betweenhuman art be it music or drawings/paintings and ai slop i genuinely just feel sorry for youits ok for some memes but imagine actually consuming this shit lmao
>>544296399AI art is still 90% slop. But at the rate it's improving it will very likely take over. In a lot of the advanced models AI pieces have been entered into competitions and the judges didn't realize it was AI. I'm not saying you have to enjoy it. I'm more saying it's dumb for people to get mad at people who do, especially people who spent the last few decades saying "interpretation is all that matters"
>>544296049No such thing.People who are good at drawing especially, but other art too, will always be seen as special and cool. No matter what.
>>544296524I'm not talking about artists as a social group going extinct.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Death_of_the_Author
i use it exclusively for furry pornartists are fags who only draw their OCs or their friends OCs and they always look fucking stupid as hell with retarded colors and symbols and markings and dumb accessories, barely anybody just makes generic cute characters so fuck 'em i'll generate what i want to see
>>544296399Nah. I'm envious of people that can enjoy eating AI slop. It's almost a super power.Imagine being able to have fun playing chess with AI instead of playing with humans.

>was a semi-successful artist>ai hits>oh neat, this will be a good tool moving forward. This whole controlnet thing shows a lot of promise>see people on the internet get easily swayed by popular artists hating that their niche is now not such a niche>AI IS BAD B-BECAUSE... IT JUST IS OKAY ITS uh... ITS STEALING>no it isn't, and industry artists have been "stealing" for years>y-YOURE JUST A POOJEET AI DEFENDER>I mean, I'm not.>ai does exactly what I thought it would except now without the artist tools being developed alongside it.>everything becomes low effort slop except the lewds so all the freelance artists crying about it still lost their niche like they were always going toI mean, if you had half a braincell you could see where all this was going from the get go. A bunch of people running into the water to fight waves isn't going to stop the ocean. Now I just get to see all those artists that desperately tried to use gullible people to stop something they never could still fail and go down crying.
>>544296049man he looks so dumb and stuff
It's hard to eat the AI. Their nature is of void, there is no life in them.
Talking with them is akin to talking with yourself. There is no audience.
>>544296049It's been interesting seeing these echo chamber internalized debates evolve after seeing them the past 15 years. Now "death of the author" which refers to how the intent of the author can never really be known, even when the author tells you, and reading their work puts you in the position to play armchair psychologist to figure out what they mean and what they don't even know what they mean. This is what 4chan retards do every day with every piece of media; why anything can be anti-white and anti-male if the vibes are slightly off. It doesn't matter that artists are fine with white people, it doesn't matter what they individually say about their work and decisions, the /pol/tard just "knows" this or that art is hateful to them.So now it's mutated to OPs post. It really is fascinating.
>>544296049Not quick enough. But, this shit happened when adobe destroyed graphic designers. We're only in what, year 3 of 7? It takes to to clean off the barnacles.
>>544296049>i hate artists>but covet art
im pro AI because the faster AI gets better, the faster we can firebomb india and mass murder them since they will have no more use by the elite
I'm in both these camps. I like when a work has an intent behind it. I like when the artist is trying to say something, but I don't like being told how I ought to feel about a work. AI art is what it is. There is no intent behind how something was depicted. It looks good, but there is nothing more to it then that. The problem with artist was that we were suffering an epidemic of bad artist who were boring people. They didn't have anything interesting to say and they were bad at conveying their message in their art, so they resorted to beating the audience over the head with their message rather than trust the audiences intelligence. The most uncomfortable truth about good art is that if something has to give it should always be the message not the art. The modern artist could never accept this and so nobody cared when they were replaced.

>>544297215That's been one of the contradictions of statue profile pic rightwingers. They act like arbiters of taste while reposting endless wojaks and pepe memes. Rule34 became 1000x better and anyone who doesn’t think so hasn’t had to suffer doomscrolling a gorillian+ pages of CWC tier chicken scratch shit. That includes anime.I’ve never cared about art. AI should write a book titled “Art of the coom”.
>>544296049Do not fucking care. Useless before, demonstrably useless now. >....but muh <insert artist from 200/y ago here>!!!!A crucifix in a bottle of urine?Fuck yourself and die. Perhaps it's time to realize zero support for 'artists' until the shit is fixed.
