Sandman wasn't a gimmick. It was him abandoning him gimmick to be himself:

This is a great appearance and promo but i dont think stone cold started drinking beer until much later and after several injuries. Wwf wouldnt have let him drink on tv around this time.

That bit is kinda dark

>i dont think stone cold started drinking beer until much later
he was a gay tea drinker
>>
>>19431818

Tea's actually pretty awesome when it's made properly (his wife was English so I'd imagine it was). Most Americans couldn't make a proper cup of tea to save their lives though.
You buy strong tea (preferably a breakfast blend - Bewley's or Barry's out of Ireland are top notch), throw a couple bags in a cup, pour steaming hot water on it, stir the shit out of it while it steeps, then (and this is important, don't leave off this step) add milk to top it off and cut the bitterness from the tannins.
It's called Builder's Tea because that's what construction workers in Britain drink and that shit will wake you up and keep you going better coffee. You don't want to drink it on an empty stomach because it will make you sick.

SAAAAAR

Americans shoot make tea in the microwave and wonder why they don't like it.
>>
>>19431870
You're right Anon countries have gone to fucking WAR for that shit. I was unfortunately engaging with someone on their own terms.
>>
>>19431882
That's how an alcoholic would spell it.
>>
>>19431900
It doesn't actually affect the taste. No idea why britcucs seethe so much over this.
>>
>>19431917
Depends. Are you bringing the water up to a proper boil in the microwave or just making it "warm"? That shit has to be near boiling for it to steep properly, otherwise you're just getting lightly tea-infused water.
>>
>>19431900
Yeah, I'm American but I pride myself on knowing how to do it correctly. I drink more coffee than tea because coffee is just easier but when I didn't sleep well the night before and need something done, it's builder's tea all the way.
>>19431910
>I was unfortunately engaging with someone on their own terms.
Understandable, I do the same thing. I just wanted to make sure the record was clear.
>>
>>19431940
Tea and coffee are pretty cool in that you can get as autistic as you want with it or not at all. The tea threads on /ck/ I've barely browsed past make it clear there's a lot to it to get into.
>>
>>19431812
I mean he did get hurt a few times and i think thats when the beer drinking sunuvabitch stone cold showed up. I could be wrong but thats how i recall it. >>19431900
Most anything from the microwave sucks, especially boiled water. I eat a cup of noodles every day lunch so i know how shitty it is. Real boiled water just feels diffrent.
American style sweet tea is pretty nice, my mom used to make it by leaving it in the sun all day.
>>
>>19431573
It was a gimmick, and that gimmick was Andrew Dice Clay. And it was based.
>>
>>19431948
Absolutely. I love both. I haven't gotten into the weeds with coffee but love a good cup - back in my heavy drinking days I'd readily admit that if I had to choose between giving up booze or coffee that booze would be the one to go.
Incidentally, I rarely drink alcohol anymore.

Kevin Nash gave Steve the Stone Cold gimmick when he chose to leave for the WCW with Hall

I feel the same way about seeing Raven with his Scotty The Body gimmick
