>>19433578The problem is there's no believability to this booking to begin with. If you have Oba squash Cody, what does that do? Cody has already proven he's an insane wrestler in kayfabe. He's taken down legends and modern mythos like Brock and Roman, had an insane bout with Cena at Summerslam where they both went all out, but his scaling is inconsistent. As it is now, ironically, Cody is booked too strong for a squash match. What I think it should be is a hard hitting 10 minute match that sells Oba's youth. He's young, in his prime. Cody's a battle hardened vet but everyone has to punch their ticket in. Oba's promo he cut on "change" is actually an excellent springboard for this, to make Cody realize he can't change the sands of time in his hourglass from trickling down. So if you ask me, I think it should go with the first 5 minutes pretty even, then Cody tries something which fails, and Oba gets a good hit in; just absolutely FUCKS up Cody and puts him in wonderland. Then Oba spends the next five dominating, slowly getting stronger and more cunning. Cody can hit a Cutter but it'll be ineffective because he's too weak, in which Oba hits the finisher and pins. Now you have an angle: Cody being on the watch for the newcomers, and realizing that he'll have to change things up if he wants to stand a chance. What do you think?
