The characters are nothing, the visuals are hideous (love the insane pop-in) and the combat is just Paper Mario mixed with obnoxious Soulsbourne trial and error enemy combos. Even the much ballyhooed 'muh grief' story was done far better in Xenoblade 3.
It has an occurred me to me I don’t play video games like other people. I play narrative driven indie games, from software “souls” games, and like 1 UFC match a day. And if there isn’t a new souls game I’m emulating a game from the PS2 or before. I really don’t get how people sink so much time into online games, there’s no artistry there.
