Cody on The Ringer’s Bill Simmons Podcast:
>“If I ever felt disrespected ever at WWE, that’s one thing. That’s a company that was built… that’s the Yankees. That’s the flagship of it all,” Rhodes said. “Feeling disrespected at something I built with my friends. That we built. Feeling disrespected there, I wouldn’t stand for it.”

Tony on the Q101 podcast:
>“You know, he does a lot of interviews, and I think when you have to say so many words so often — because he works so hard, he works such a big schedule — to his credit, I bet he does hundreds of interviews a year. And I’m not sure I agree with that, but I also would give him the benefit of the doubt that, you know, I’ve heard him say a lot of positive things, too.”

>“For somebody that doesn’t work here and is involved in a competitive promotion, he’s usually pretty gracious with the things he says.”
>“I’ve seen him since he’s been gone, and it’s always been very positive and good.”
>“I have only good things to say about him and his contributions here. It’s okay. You know, that’s okay. Everyone’s entitled to their opinions.”

Even Tony still loves the Codester. You just gotta.
>>
Brandi was causing issues while at AEW, she wanted to run the women’s division and Tony wanted full control. Cody had to side with his wife and the mother of his child.
>>
What a corporate bootlicking bitch. "I'm happy to give up my self-respect and be treated like shit if the company doing it is big and famous enough," he really is the new sociopathic Cena-clone company man
>>

I went to the first show AEW did in Pittsburgh. Cody came out after the show was over and gave what sounded like a really sincere speech thanking us for being there and talking about how exciting the future of the company was. He sounded like a legitimate co-owner.

I miss coke binge shitposting TK.
I'll never forgive the people who got worked by it and got it taken away from me

That’s the root of his exit. He saw AEW as an extension of the original All In. Him, Kenny and the bucks turning that one-off show into a promotion of their own with Tony as the money man and collaborator. Then Tony took the reins completely, which is his right to do as the man signing the checks, but it’s not what Cody envisioned. Especially since Tony just books shit that he wants to see. And I think seeing Tony lap up all the plaudits for “saving” wrestling from WWE probably disgusted him.

Ill give Tony credit a year are two ago he was a bit of a lolcow always defensively lashing out and embarrassing himself publicly every other week but it seems to have stopped. Someone must have sat him down and told him to be more measured.

Maybe Trump killed Tony's dealer

It must be so satisfying for him to become the face of WWE and lead the company into its most prosperous era ever, while AEW collapses.
>>
Brand Rhodes is still friends with Jack Perry
>>

>most prosperous era ever

Based Tone taking the high road
>>
>>19583856
How is he wrong? The product may be pretty shit but the company is making stupid money.
>>
>>19583305
It couldn’t have played out any better for him. He’s been treated like a king since joining WWE, the fans love him, he’s getting movie opportunities. If he was still in AEW he’d be spending New Years Eve wrestling in Omaha in front of 1800 people. It’s just night and day.

>What is inflation?
WWE was far bigger in the AE than it is now. Literally nobody gives a fuck about it.
>>
>>19584424
Inflation is factored into their quarterly meetings. The same ones where they are legally forced to disclose they make vastly more money than they ever did in the trannitude era
>>
>>19584424
It's not even just inflation, it's the how the media landscape is configured now.
If you told someone how much money media corps were throwing around now and what for15 years ago you'd never believe it.
>>
>>19583267
or the suppliers, those Venezuelan drug boats were heading towards Jacksonville after all.
>>
>>19584448
Retard. Handicap. Mentally ill.
>>19584453
This is also inflation. I'm not simply talking about the value of the dollar but the overall change in media landscape and tv contracts. If we transport AE's popularity to the modern landscape it'd probably have an NFL-tier contract.

Its gonna suck when every one starts gossiping about Cody in a few years. Once Cody is done in the ring is when the skeletons will come out of the closets.

I just hope one day Cody has a few TITOS Vodka drinks and just goes scorched earth on AEW.
>>
>>19584492
Ah so you're a tranny. That explains it. WWE is objectively the best it ever has been, the trannitude era simply can't compete
>>
>>19584505
no milly tho
>>
>>19584518
Billys however, as WWE makes billions of dollars. Money trannitude era fags can only dream of.
>>
>>19584533
Attitude Era fans could also afford to buy a home. Shit changes despite you always having lived in your basement and can't tell the difference.
>>
>>19582931
The disrespect stems from Tony taking out Cody's dog without his permission. Cody wasn't aware of the wank meme, but he was pissed that his dog went missing. Cody had strong words for Tony that night. MJF heard about what Tony did and told Cody about the wank meme. Cody shoot lost his shit and yelled at Tony, backing him into a corner.
>>
>>19584543
Now they're dying alone with no children like you are right now lmfao. Defending the honor of an interferor product just like trannies do because it makes you "feel better" or whatever gay shit you pretend matters more than dollars and cents
>>
>>19584557
Is this some kind of Indian thing to worship how much a company makes?
I've never met anyone IRL who does this
>>
>>19584580
Nah jeets fail at business and deny facts and logic, which you're doing right now saar.
>>
>>19583186
>Him, Kenny and the bucks turning that one-off show into a promotion of their own with Tony as the money man and collaborator. Then Tony took the reins complete
Tony taking the booking was the right thing to do, you can't le Cody book himself otherwise you get shit like the Codyverse
>>
>>19583305
Do you think Cody told Ricky some of his Cody lies?
>"Yeah man, just come over we'll team up/form a stable, you'll be a superstar in no time"
>>
>>19583026
I was at the RAW for his King of the Ring match with Jey Uso. After the show went off air he stayed in the ring and was interacting with the crowd on the mic until the arena literally told him he has to wrap it up. Awesome guy. His entrance is also awesome to see live
>>
>>19584580
Making money is an objective sign that a company is successful. Im sorry that hurts your feelings for some reason

This is the modern day WWE audience. See yourself in the mirror.
>>
>>19582934
fraid so
>>
>>19584760
Sure, but if the main factors in your success are outside factors, it's stupid to compare it to situations were those factors didn't exist.
>>
>>19584768
do you really want to go down that route? let me remind you that obese subhuman smarks are the only audience left for your beloved AEW
