>wrestling is more popular then ever>more and more boomers complain about muh good old daysWhen will these old fucks die?
In 1999 RAW would get 10 million viewsIn 2025 RAW struggled to get 2 million views
>>19589397Popularity doesn't always equate to quality, dipshit
>>19589404In 2025 more people are spending more money than ever to go to shows. Nothing else is more important
>>19589418This. Money and miles is what matters
>>19589404there were more televisions in the world 1999 then now, get it?
>>19589404Nobody watches TV any more
>>19589410Yes it does. Literally it’s always the case. Boom periods are quality, end of story
>>19589446This isn't a boom period, Paul.
>>19589404How many did dynamite get last week?
>>19589425>>19589436Raw is on netflix so whats the excuse lmao
>>19589436Nobody watches Wrestling anymore.
>>19589452Stop listening to Meltzer. They sold out more shows this year than they did last year. Now post the same two images from their 2 bad selling shows this year which, by the way, still sold double what AEW averages for their weekly shows
>>19589397Next month>The Saudi Rumble will do NFL numbers on ESPN + Netflix>TNA will go mainstream again on AMC>AEW will enter their most profitable year ever now that the Max deal has settled in>NJPW will sell out the Tokyo Dome>CMLL will continue their white hot live gate streakAnd people will unironically say wrestling is cold again because Cena (who cares?) had a lame retirement run. Shit has been amazing worldwide. Fuck contrarians.
>>19589397You tell us you boomer faggot.
>>19589506This. If anything the wrestling business is giving these boomers too much anyway
>>19589418This retard doesn't know about inflation.
>>19589404OP got this boomer seething within one minute of posting.
>>19590358got his ass
>>19589397People knowing what wrestling is doesn't translate to popularity, how many of those actually watch wrestling? More of them mock it
>Your "boom period" sir
>just like what I like or I wont feel goodkay
>>19589418Then op should say that. But wrestling isn't as popular as it was in the late 90s at all. Of the much fewer people watching, more of them are retarded and spending way more, yes.
>>19589404>RAW struggled to get 2 million viewsNot even 400k are watching it live
The viewership on cable thing is a big cope. Nobody watches cable anymore. People just keep up with the weekly shows by watching highlights on YouTube or clips on social media, they only care about PPVs really. Same goes for AEW. Their PPV buyrates are pretty decent, nobody gives a fuck about Dynamite or Collision because it's just all an advertisement for the next big ppv. Ticket sales are doing great to okay globally for wrestling.New Japan's sold out the tokyo domes for the first time in forever, and Stardom just had their second largest attendance as a sell out in sumo hall with limited seating.Wrestling will be fine and fags doomposting isn't going to change that.
>>195894181 inflation2. attendance is tanking3. they barely do house shows for that to mean shitBulk of their money comes from TV rights deals which weren't a thing back in WWF/WWEs glory days.
>>19589397>wrestling is more popular then evernobody will admit to you in a conversation that they watch wrestling
Wrestling only gets hot in the 2/3 months leading to WrestleMania then cools off again for the next 9 months. Rinse repeat.
>>19589506the ESPN deal was a massive flop. TNA will do 200k. AEW will never be profitable and is doing worse numbers than rampage. This shit is dead
No it isn't. No one at the pub knows who Cody Rhodes is. Maybe there are more Indians watching now but normal people don't care about it.
