>ticket prices reduced repeatedly in the run up to the show

>despite this, empty seats are visible throughout the arena
>add an extra 10,000 fictitious people to the attendance number

Is the first Wembley version of All In the most heavily comped and astroturfed show in professional wrestling history?
>>
>>19595362
>most heavily comped
Wasn't that show in north korea entirely comp?
>>
you have to believe there was some kind of clash in korea business going on where people were marched in at gunpoint. no way more than a handful of sick perverts willingly went to see that shit.
>>
>>19595362
Didn’t they get like 30k less people the next year?
They’re running it again aren’t they in 2026? They will probably get like 15k
>>
>>19595362
Ironically, Tony's desperation to claim he'd broken WWE's decades old record, when he obviously hadn't, totally undermined what was otherwise a pretty decent show
>>
Tony edited the wikipedia article again to claim 81,035 after it had been correctly reduced to 72k ages ago
>>
>>19595372
The show had a gate, so not sure if it was comped in its entirety or not.
>>
>>19595399
>I really enjoyed the show but then some obese sweaty e-drones posted a bunch of conspiracy theories about the attendance and now I don't anymore
>>
>>19595362
It was a combination of factors. Tony was desperate to fill Wembley so he lowered ticket prices and even started giving them away for free. But there was also a lot of organic demand from wrestling-starved Britbongs who were salivating to see a huge stadium show. Then of course the next year attendance plummeted from 72k to 45k because a lot of people didn't like what they saw in 2023. Tony tried his tricks again but the demand just wasn't there. AEW will never even come close to reaching that high again. It really was their series finale.
>>
Either this or Royal Rumble 1997
>>
>>19595483
you're obsessed with tony
>>
>>19595362
What's the point of going to see wrestling in an stadium this big? It just seems pointless and unfun.
>>
>>19595795
You're obsessed with defending Tony, the poor, poor billionaire's son. He doesn't even know you exist.

The WM3 numbers are a big work
>>
a normal person would ignore an event they were not interested in instead of seething about it years later
>>
I don't care what anyone says. I was there and my own eyes told there was 70-80k there. Didn't see that many empties. Got pics on another device at home with proof. Turnstile count means shit when 5-6 people were going through them at the same time. There was probably 4 security on the gates in the section I entered and they just gave up and let people swarm in. By the time they opened them the pre-show was well underway so people were desperate to get in.
>>
81,000 tickets sold. World record. Seethe.
>>
>>19595483
Paid attendance was 81k. "Turnstile count" is not a real measurement of attendance and has never been used for wrestling or sports attendance figures in industry history.
>>
>>19597342
>>19597378
>>19597384
Three copes, each just as illegitimate as each other. No one cares how many of his own tickets Tony bought and then couldn't give away for free. The number of people who passed through the turnstiles is the number of people who attended the show. 72k.
>>
>>19597342
>Turnstile count means shit when 5-6 people were going through them at the same time.
You have never been to Wembley. This is a physical impossibility.
>>
>>19597971
If you were right then all sports and entertainment events would use turnstile count. They don't - they use paid attendance. Therefore you are wrong. Own it.
>>
>>19597999
Just over 72,000 people attended All In. Tony Khan's attempt to add 10,000 fictitious attendees (presumably tickets he bought himself and then couldn't give away) was exposed by a simple freedom of information request.
>>
>>19598019
According to a metric not used by any entity in the industry and has only been used for one show in human history simply because you are in denial about the amount of tickets AEW sold.
>>
>>19598033
Thing is, if Tony had learned a single thing from his tenure at Fulham, he'd have known about FOI laws and wouldn't have even attempted the lie. 72k is a massive number for an indy show, but he couldn't help himself and had to try and take credit for something he didn't achieve. It's up there with his biggest humiliations.
>>
>>19597245
yeah this got his wheels spinning. look at the flurries of three or four different copes in a row, all a minute apart
>>
>>19598079
So you agree All In's paid attendance was 81k then.
>>
>>19598098
No, attendance means they attended. We agree that 72k attended the event. The number of additional tickets "bought" by people who then mysteriously decided not to attend, but would conveniently have given Tony the record he wanted, is irrelevant.
>>
>>19598128
That isn't what paid attendance means. You are clueless.
>>
>>19597983
No it isn't. There's loads of stories out there of people getting into the CL final this way. There was a literal 60 year old Paki manning that thing. Bro gave up after 5 minutes max.
Also there were major rail strikes that weekend. I can easily believe 5-10k people decided not to bother. If you were coming from the Norf and your train was cancelled you're talking a 7-8 hour Megabus if you don't drive. I wouldn't do that for a wedding of a close one never mind a wrestling show headlined by Adam Cole.
>>
>>19598166
One was the government reporting the number and one was Tony making things up. I wonder which one to believe.
>>
>>19598323
One was an irrelevant metric not used for any attendance announcements in any field. And one was the paid attendance number.
>>
>>19598265
You're a massive fucking idiot if you think turnstiles are just for show and not a Fire Department requirement to get an accurate number of people in the building
>>
>>19598331
>one was the paid attendance number.
That only Tony reported aka the made up one.
>>
>>19595392
they did 18k for forbidden door in bongland just this year so I think wembley will probably do 30-40k
>>
>>19598392
>18k
Sure they did
>>
>>19598331
You cannot be counted as an attendee if you didn't attend the show
Tony lied and his retard fanbase continues to lie as well
>>
>>19598098
if all in did 81k then mania 32 did 100k
>>
>>19598412
Why do zero sports or entertainment companies use turnstile count to announce attendance? Can you explain that to us?
>>
>>19598401
I agree, they did
>>
>>19598265
Post a video of people jumping over the turnstiles, retard, not a still image.
>>
>>19598426
They use fake numbers like I said. You're not very smart are you
>>
>>19598428
Whatever helps you sleep at night to cope with AEWs terrible ratings and ticket sales
>>
>>19598426
They use the amount of people in the building, not the internal number of tickets they are claiming were sold
You cannot be counted in the attendance number if you are not in attendance, no matter how many retard word games you try to play
>>
>>19598439
You're just wrong. I hope one day you will understand that you are clinging to a definition that nobody else uses and that you are making an exception in this one case simply because you hate AEW.
>>
>>19598494
https://www.espn.com/nfl/attendance
how come it says Attendance instead of "Paid Tickets Sold"?
>>
>>19598496
That's what it means.
>>
>>19598501
Nope, attendance is how many people are in the building.
When the Fire Marshal shows up at an event where the building limit is 2000, they don't give a flying fuck if the promoter sold 85,320 tickets. They care whether or not 2000 people or less are in the building.
You massive fucking retard. Give it up.
>>
>>19598508
You are wrong. You are mixing definitions up on purpose and if you do any research you will immediately realize this. Your wilful dishonesty is the only reason this is even a debate.
>>
>>19598528
There is exactly one sports and entertainment event per year that has separate announcements for Attendance, and Tickets Sold, and that's AEW annual All In event where the conman owner lies about how many people showed up

NFL doesn't do it
NBA doesn't do it
MLB doesn't do it
UFC doesn't do it
NASCAR doesn't do it
Formula1 doesn't do it
NHL doesn't do it
EPL doesn't do it
AAA doesn't do it
CMLL doesn't do it
NJPW doesn't do it
PGA tour doesn't do it

Only AEW does it, and only once per year. If you weren't so impossibly fucking stupid, it would click in your mind that there's something fishy there, but you're too addicted to lying.

It was one of the many reasons he won kwaboty in 2023

Yup. Tony lied about the attendance, tried to cover it up with an NDA, and got exposed. He also ended up receiving $700k instead of a milly and had to cancel a ton of events he had planned around All In because its attendance was so far below expectations. I think this clusterfuck alone is why he won KWABOTY 2025.

You are absolutely correct that all of these entities do not report "turnstile count" because that has never been an established method of announcing attendance. Thank you for proving my point.

>You are absolutely correct that all of these entities do not report "turnstile count" because that has never been an established method of announcing attendance. Thank you for proving my point.

They don't need to because they're in the business of selling tickets for profit to human beings who attend their events. AEW is apparently running a different sort of business.
>>
>>19601708
They don't do it because nobody does it. And you spergs on the internet never ask yourselves why.
>>
>>19601741
If the NBA or NFL had a five figure difference between ticket sales and attendance, then people would be talking about that discrepancy. AEW is the only place that such a discrepancy exists. That's why it gets brought up. But you know that, you're just being a cheerleader.
>>
>>19601844
According to him it's also normal for like 15-20% of the 'people' who 'bought' tickets to an event to just not show up at all lmao
>>
>>19601844
Nobody would give a single fuckaroni about "turnstile count" numbers of an NBA or NFL game.
>That's why it gets brought up
It gets brought up because people are emotionally motivated into going after AEW by moving goalposts and establishing precedents that have never existed before just so they can downplay things that AEW have done.
>>
>>19601919
It's a pattern of fraud and deception, designed to make the company look more successful than it actually is, and in this case it happened at a time when Tony was negotiating a new 9 figure TV deal. If you can't see why that is important, I don't know what to tell you.
