Why don't wrestlers get stripped of their titles when they have footage of them cheating to win their title matches? *crowd laughs* I mean really, if wrestling was a sport to be taken seriously and if it had any shred of legitimacy the next night after smashing their opponents skull in with a hammer behind the refs back not only would they be stripped of their title, there would be two police officers there ready to cuff them for assault and battery *crowd laughs* *seinfeld starts*

No replay rule. Refs decision is final. Other sports have this. Boxing, MMA, some rugby leagues and most of soccer don’t allow replays to be used to change decisions.

You'd think they'd at least have two refs. At the very least. But it's at its most infuriating when you realize that there's an authority figure somewhere watching the whole thing go down.
I'm starting to thing there's some rigging going on around here.

This doesn't happen in the NFL, NBA, etc. Unless a call is overturned right away, it stands forever.
>>
>>19596312
There's been matches where the ref immediately overturned their decision based off a replay and the match restarted.
>>
>>19596312
I don't think you've ever watched boxing, MMA, rugby, or soccer in your life

>>19596312
nigga brocks last ufc fight had the decision overturned to no contest because they found out he pissed hot

Come on, this is just the implicitly agreed-upon suspension of disbelief thing we all accept. You could ask endless questions like this. Why does a wrestler who gets thrown at the ropes always run, bounce off them and come running back to take a follow-up move, instead of realizing what's happening and just... not running? Why do wrestlers throw fake punches that imitate like real punches, which we know they have to be, because if they were real the ref would disqualify them?

Bret vs Shawn in '92 doesn't feature any of that, they don't even pick each other up from the mat until the finish

Jesse ventura brought that up in the old days when a wrestler irish whipped you into the steel steps you'd get disqualified there was also no titan trons to replay it live where the ref should be able to see turning around. Jesse ventura also said todays wrestling is like marvel and is a joke and you should laugh at it

There are some very rare cases where they can nulify results after a match has ended in real sports.
For example, fielding ineligble players leads to the game turned into a forfeit in most sports even if it's noticed after the game has ended.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?
>>
>>19596312
I wanna say this was a gimmick for a match at some point but this really needs to be a comedy gimmick match if it wasn't done: Ref can check call on tape, while ref is distracted with the replay - chair shots etc..

How would heels ever be able to get heat? They've tried instant replay shit in wrestling a bunch of times. By the nature of wrestling being a work you need those loopholes for heels to get any heat. If they lost all the time no one would care, and if they won clean all the time too then they wouldn't really be heels

I'm pretty sure the only pro wrestler to be mentioned on Seinfeld was George The Animal Steele and it was on two different occasions.
