Who is "we?" The AEW audience has made it clear with Cody they are a vocal minority. This is not a new phenomenon, Mick Foley got laughed out of ECW and it's been retconned now that it was all a big work. Right. ECW fans booed Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit, the two guys they would fellate less than a decade later. Tony, by his own words, took over complete control during the pandemic, and as stated countless times, Tony did and continues to redo the same booking Cody had during that time, to this day. So either Tony is a liar, or it's a big coincidence that he redid the exact same angles the same way for years afterwards.

He was last really good in 2022 when he slimmed down and stopped drinking after his lungs collapsed on him. Now he's 55 with more mileage on his body. But WWE isn't exactly a hard style so we'll see how it goes. He was my favorite even back in 2000.

In retrospect, and without console warring, I feel like Jericho if anything, was "misused" in AEW, I understand using the biggest star you have constantly, that is totally normal, but it's the choice of who you make him work with that actually matters, he has lost to literal nobodies (and still nobodies but with a win over Jericho) like Action Andretti, it sure did wonders for his career, he made you at least know who Bryan Keith is for like 3 or 4 months. If anyone to blame for Jericho being "bad" or "shoved down our throat" it's Tony, it's not like Jericho was booking himself.
