AEW was even shittier back then though. They had more top stars but the midcard was full of literal backyarders like Joey Janela and Marko Stunt. At least now they stacked the roster with WWE and NJPW rejects who were properly trained, even if they're shitters who can't draw.

It made sense that the midcard was nobodies. It was a brand new fed. I'll take the unpolished AEW with a good main story Vs whatever we've had for the past 3 years. It was also drawing more.
