Why do many indie companies and indie fans hate WWE but leech off of wrestlemania week?

>>19643296Anon this has been a thing longer than NXT has been around. Indie promotions all year long make their money with a 'fuck the fed' mentality. Then each and every year without fail they all book events around whatever city WWE is holding Wrestlemania at that year to piggyback and leech off of the massive crowd of wrestling fans WWE is drawing in. This is one of the few things I'll give AEW credit for in that they specifically don't partake in that and keep their shows wherever else they'd be that week regardless. But every other indie? Completely hypocritical parasites

I wonder how much seethe Vince caused because he made it a big thing in wwe to act like no other wrestling company exists. Must’ve been infuriating to be a small company trying to take shots at wwe for attention but it never even gets acknowledged since Vince acted like they don’t exist
