Not an actual insider, but know somebody. Here's what I heard:>TKO wanted Cody, Roman and Liv on top due to movies and cross-promotion capabilities>Original plans were different, Vision was supposed to play a bigger role, Bron elimination was not initial plan, Brock was eliminated sooner than planned hence the unceremonious way he exited, Knight's elimination was changed, some speculate he was at one point figured in to win, not sure though, Gunther was supposed to be screwed by someone and not just dumped>Liv was always an idea for a potential winner but the TKO call cemented it, no leak as to who the other candidate(s) were or was>Cody was supposed to retain from WM 41 to 42. Cena Heel turn changed it to Summerslam, then Cody himself convinced WWE and TKO to drop it to Drew. He was supposed to drop it at Wrestlepalooza, but something about Fatu's injury and WWE thinking it was too soon changed that so TKO had him retain and made the Cena Brock match to have a shocking moment at the first ESPN event. They considered nixing the title drop but Cody Insisted they needed to open up the main event to more people esp. when the WHC was the workhorse belt but circumstances led to needing to keep it on someone longterm but Cody said they needed more guys at the top and had people who were ready. At first people were a little upset about Cody being so adamant but then due to HHH supporting it and lockerroom consent people respected it as him actually wanting to be he QB and do what's best for the roster and company>They actually tried to play up Cody getting boos considering playing with a Cena dynamic>WWE wanted Konnan on AAA commentary permanently partly due to reception and Graves and JBl backing him but TKO feels he isn't polished enoughMaybe all I know that hasn't been talked about much.
This movie sucks
You know what anon?I actually believe everything you said. Like genuinely.
Konnan commentary in 2026 really tho who asked for this
>>19813113>cross-promotion capabilitiesI could see a cross-promotion with the Street Fighter movie but the indie film Liv did has no "cross-promotion capabilities" with WWE whatsoever lol. Also, it is embarrassing as hell to watch the wrestlers have to carry around their titles at premieres and events. They had Jade interviewing Matt Damon and Ben Affleck with the title and big-ass "WWE" logo over her shoulder. Stop trying to chase clout and just put on a good show, if you are even capable of that.
>>19813250nah him, Graves and JBL is such a weird combo that it actually works
>>19813260>WOAH LOOK AT THE ATHLETICISM ON DISPLAY, KONNAN! GARZA IS INSANE!>Yknow Corey, before the show the Garzas were telling me a story about their grandfather who died->WAIT KONNAN! LOOK OUT! TOPE!>Made famous by his grandfather who died, one of the most famous luchadors and a great friend of mine who->I CAN'T BELIEVE THE ACTION! WOW!>Let me tell you something real quick - I taught Garza everything he knows. I've known him since he was a child. His dead father and uncle who died asked me to train Angel before they died. They were good friends of mine.>SPANISH FLY!
>>19813184I had that feeling but thought it was funny to use as the OP pic>>19813240I dunno if it is all true because people put their spin on things but it's what someone who works with them told me and they have told me stuff that dirt sheets then reported so I am guessing there is some legitimacy, the idea that TKO is influencing booking is what made me want to post it>>19813250I like it for some reason>>19813254Good points, I have no idea what the movie Liv is in is like but I used to really like Miike who I think is the director?>>19813277Lmao
>>19813113This makes way too much sense to be real
>>19813421>TKO is influencing booking I’m asking this seriously… did people think this WOULDN’T be the case?Like, of course they are. WWE is currently in its “George Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney” era. It’s an IP people recognize whose “best, charming, artistic storytelling” days are behind it, and now based on the strength of the brand it’s built, private investors are hopping in to milk it for every dollar it can be worth by exploiting every possible brand extension from podcasts to Slim Jim endorsements to theme parks. There’s still probably plenty of creative freedom to experiment with shit on NXT and SNME. But for the most part, anything shown on Netflix and ESPN will need to feature the biggest names, whether it makes sense in the “story” or not.
Konnan makes the AAA english commentary unlistenable IMOget that annoying spic out of the company ASAP
>>19813277he should bring his kazoo with him
