Was he actually a Tony Fumble?
>>19833034He's ngmi because he refuses to put on weightSkinny ass short ass wetback looking ass has negative aura
>>19833034Looked it in AEW because he had a main event look by their roster standards.By WWE standards he's got a midcard look. Not just about size but everything.I've got my smelly smark tendencies to like long matches with storytelling and callbacks/building on each other (but with psychology + pacing), I like guys who can cut a good promo or have natural charisma. But for most fans (me included but especially casuals) so much of a wrestler is about the 5 second impression at a glance, the airport test, etc. It's why some guys make a living off being entrance merchants- the first 5 seconds you see them they seem cool and they ride that until their segment ends and the next one starts before you realise they're lame.Ricky has a lot of work to do to get that star at first look vibe in WWE, it's that or get super good on the mic & with character/charisma consistently.Ppl will laugh but The Butcher is AEW's biggest fumble (outside of not pushing hot WWE signings like Claudio or Miro straight to the top). Yeah he's old and in a band half the time and limited in the ring, but he has a unique look that gets your attention instantly. You could easily have smoke & mirror'd him to be a main eventer for a 1-2 year run with the heel gimmick Hangman wishes he could pull off, not everyone needs to be a 5-10 year Ace.
>>19833034I really hate that faggot thing he does with his arm like that. It looks so fucking gay
>>19833034Yes and no. He's doing good now as uppermid card heel. It's not like Tony knew what to do with him.
>>19833147he probably cant, not everyone can look like a bodybuilder. it's unnatural to begin with.
>>19833034Tony did legit fumble him a couple times when he was red hot and had good feuds going on, the most egregious one being the burial against HobbsWhich ironically enough is the point that made me quit watching AEW and now these 2 faggots are in WWE kek
>>19833170>Yeah he's old and in a band half the time and limited in the ring, but he has a unique look that gets your attention instantlyThat's Jericho you're describing.
>>19833034TK gave him like 5 serious pushes and he couldn't sustain any heat
>>19833034Has he put on anything better than the strap match against danielson since going to NXT? Honestly asking. Don’t watch but I do wish him well he definitely has talent.
>>19833340That's really only because aew is the >Hey look at us! We're fake! We are not real, we are entertainment! Not a sport! We have so much fun here! Promotion, meaning it is impossible to sustain any kind of heat whatsoever
>>19833034Yeah that's why they chanted "TONY FUMBLED" and permanently mindbroke the singular AEW fan
>>19833414all the top guys got pushed and sustained heatlook at guys like swervethey tried to make him a swerve multiple times and it didnt workricky is a two dimensional wrestler and will never be a thing
>>19833340He couldn't sustain any heat because Tony kept killing his heat by booking him to lose important matches, randomly taking him off TV for weeks, and ending his storylines before they could go anywhere. He even wanted to bury Starks by having him job to old man Ricky Steamboat, and the only reason it didn't happen is because Steamboat refused to do it.
>>19833430>look at guys like swerveYou do realize Swerve sucks and is an anti-draw, right?
>>19833449He lost because he didnt get over >>19833451never saw anyone with a ricky sharts avatar, see swerve avatars all the time
>>19833459>He lost because he didnt get over>lostStarks won his feud with Steamboat because Steamboat refused to bury him. Gain literacy, retard.>trying to use avatars as a measurement of successFucking kek. Back before Tony put an end to the quarters because they kept exposing his "stars" as anti-draws, every single quarter hour with Swerve in it would make the ratings go down. Every single time.
Yes Tony definitely fumbled a zesty 5'2 shitter that will never draw a dime.
>>19833478ok so you're a delusional retard that thinks tony khan is in the illuminatiopinion disregarded
>>19833346All his promos and matches are good, he has been on a role but the size thing is glaring sometimes, especially when he faced Trick and Oba and Booker was just roasting him on commentary even before the match started. Jackson Drake pulls off being slim due to the gimmick, moveset and age, and Ethan is fine not being that tall since he has mass and the character, entertainment factor and ring style, but Ricky really needs the size
>>19833529And by role I meant roll... Didn't even feel like correcting myself because of captcha but fuk it
>>19833512Nigga are you high? Tony R. Khan, the booker of AEW, wanted Starks to job to Steamboat but Steamboat said no. Sober up and I think you'll have an easier time understanding this and stop ranting about the illuminati.
>>19833533you think he somehow controls nielson a company that controls how billions of dollars are spent every year maybe he should have jobbed to steamboat at least then he would have done something memorable
>>19833540Not him, but it's clear that somethingwas going on with the Neilsen info and it's more likely the source releasing Nielsen info as opposed to Nielsen themselves. CW were also a large part of getting Nielsen to fix their system because of NXT ratings.
He is, was, and will forever be dimeless
>>19833553what the fuck are you onnielson is a data broker, anyone can buy their statsevery channel and big show buys their info
>>19833576Yes, and I stated that whatever was going on is likely with the person who is getting said info from Nielsen then releasing it as opposed to Nielsen itself withholding AEW ratings or whatever.
>>19833687thousands of people get them, including the aew and wwe offices any disparity would be easily proven wrongthey were just down because they made a shitty algorithm
The only real fumble was Cody. Maybe Ethan page.
>>19833034no he fucking sucks and AEW fans were desperate to overrate him cus of le mic skills but his big shining moment cutting a promo on MJF he stumbled and called him a Miz clone, absolute bottom of the barrel dogshit material. He does get credit for working Edgetty into a seethe tho
>>19833754Cody fumbled himself more than Tony did
>>19833194He's shoot gay isn't he?
>>19833744Oh, that's what you think I said. I meant the timing of info being released since the other guy was talking about them being withheld or whatever, I agree with you about the algorithm.
>>19833034Yeah. I think he was. He showed a ton of promise in AEW but it always felt like his pushes were start and stop and start and stop. So he never really went up the card or got anywhere. Not unlike Hobbs ironically enough
I'd blame Punk chimping out more than Tony. He was going to be a big part of Collision but Punk crashed out and by then Ricky was too Team Punk to be welcomed back into the fold. I'd also blame Ricky himself for believing his own hype. He was borderline irrelevant before AEW gave him a deal and he also spent all that time at home and arrived in NXT still looking like a twink when he should have came in looking like a million bucks. He's coming up a year in NXT and no one remembers a damn thing about his run there except the "Tony fumbled" chants. Apparently he held the NXT title for 70 days? Crazy.
