the legacy myrise in 2K23 was alright. i like how the story felt continuous with the occasional short angle breaking up the plot. it felt like a story mode with an actual story and characters. i also really liked ava moreno, she has a cool dynamic with lj. the i forgot what it’s called the unleashed? the unleashed from 2K24 is okay. the cap is kinda likable but there’s no real plot going on until the very end of the story, and even that part is kind of not that interesting. being constantly forced to play as that other girl is incredibly annoying too, she has the most hideous design ever and her moveset is just annoying. the indisputed from 2k24 was incredibly boring. interesting premise on paper, but the actual story is incredibly repetitive and tedious. it’s basically the same angle played over and over again, where your CAW constantly gets screwed over by that douchebag booker repeatedly. i didn’t even bother finishing the story. the 2k25 myrise is just depressing to play. all the villains are lame. the story is also basically just a shortened version of a myrise story, played three times. the characters constantly making shallow references to the lore you picked for them is lame too. it feels like the lore is just there for your characters to randomly reference and insert into their dialogue unnaturally. overall i’d say 2k23’s the legacy is worth a playthrough. the rest of the other myrises are just shit at best

The games nowadays try too hard to emulate real life angles and never take advantage of the fact that it’s a videogame and they can go even crazier with it. That Twisted Metal knockoff comes to mind, but of course it doesn’t necessarily have to change the gameplay of it. Having some sort of adventure beat em up with the gameplay of the main games would suffice
