Powerhouse Hobbs hasn't been on TV since the Rumble because Big Tone sent a cease and desist for using his AEW name during his Rumble entrance
>>19868738Nope. Not how that works. WWE could keep calling him Powerhouse Hobbs if they wanted to just like AEW could have called Copeland Edge this entire time. The only point that becomes an issue is when you're marketing and doing commercial shit. Couldn't make shirts or figures or any merch with the name. Couldn't use the name for promotional posters or ads or anything like that. That's where the trademark comes into play. So obviously it makes it pointless to try and call someone by the name you can't make money off of otherwise which is why they just rebrand into one they can
>>19868738It's not that deep lil bro, they just forgot and left his black ass in Saudi Arabia
>>19868756>a giant led with the words POWERHOUSE HOBBS during copyright protected WWE programming is not copyright infringment grim if true
>>19868794Correct. It was a live broadcast. Think of how many times people have slipped up and called WWE the WWF during shows since the name change. That was a hardline switch. But the panda company didn't sue them over every time because it wasn't done in a commercial usage. Look at any ECW show ever and how much they got away with in terms of music. They never included those entrances in DVDs or the songs in their games though because that would be walking right into god knows how many lawsuits. It's no different than Elias doing that bit of Seven Nation Army at Mania 35. It happened during the show and was in the live broadcast but WWE cut it out of the replay and any official releases that they sold. They can do the same with 5 seconds of graphic with Hobbs name. That's even if AEW still has to the rights to it which I partly doubt they do
>>19868738The only thing Tony trademarks are shows that get cancelled before they ever air.
>>19868899Kek
>>19868881This is also how various bands do covers of other songs without permission literally all the time. Same with live bootlegs.
>>19868899I like how Tony spends all Daddy's money on theme/entrance music. He's an embarrassment to life.
>>19868881no that's not it >>19869041no that's not true either
>>19869041What happens when you do a whole tour covering another band's album, and you have promotional posters etc along with it? (Primus doing Rush albums live)
>>19868881>>19869041care to masturbatolate?
>>19868899>>19869055mental illness
>>19869059Pretty sure Primus had someone's permission for that
>>19869068I'm sure, but how much is Rush entitled to monetarily from that, if at all? not from copyright infringment, but for allowing Primus to make money from their work.
