do you respect
- someone who tries and loses or
- someone who doesn't try?

In America it is far worse to be seen as a loser than not trying at all. Is that healthy? Who's to say?

Knowing your own limits is essential for anyone. Ignoring them doesn't make you more of a man, it just makes you more of an idiot. The line between courage and idiocy is thin.

Do you think the current president of the free world knows his limits?
>>
>>82383600
Neither
I don't respect anyone
>>

I respect one who does. The one who tries don't do.

Your own limits (for the vast majority of cases) are all mental
>>
>>82383600
i respect both in different cases
those who try and lose only earn my respect when there's a good cause for trying, regardless of win or loss, or when they have an actual chance at winning
and those who don't try only earn my respect when they don't try something that's obviously futile or otherwise not worth trying

basically, i respect those who make the right calls, be it trying and losing or not trying in the first place
