Why do poor people vote for politicians who pass legislation that does not benefit poor people? Are they stupid?
>>82397832Because poor people are trash and poor people that are slightly self aware knows that
>>82397832>Are they stupidYes
>>82397832Sadly they are not educated enough on politics and they base there votes off what they hear and not what the person or group has provided / done in the past. Its a sad fact most of us don't bother to look in to a persons past if there voting they just see this person's ad's or slogans and run with it thinking this is good enough. When if they stopped and just looked up that person and what they did as a Gov, or a mayor or what have you they see there not a good fit for office's or any sort of power.. And to add in a bit of tinfoil hat fun. This comes from removing things from school's like history.. If they are gonna keep power to them self's they gotta keep us stupid from a young age. This is why history is honestly repeating it self over and over again. but thats just my tin foiled opinion
>>82397832We have a debt to pay off o algo
>>82397832Yes but it's not their fault, it's the corpos' fault.
>>82397926>it's the corpos' fault. How should we go about stopping the malicious corpos from crushing the common man?
Hi, hello, I'm a poor people that votes for politicians who pass legislation that does not benefit poor people. One explanation is that I am stupid, I don't know economics for instance well enough to know what legislation sounds beneficial vs one that will truly be beneficial down the line.I also act on the belief that politics isn't about voting in self-interest but instead voting for the betterment of all of us, which sometimes means voting for legislation that will actively reduce my quality of life (which is a behaviour you could also say is stupid)and finally there's also a lack of choice, where voting often comes down between choosing between two candidates who'll fuck me in the ass, so i'm choosing the one who'll be least harmful to society as a whole
the truth: the red states are rigged. the rigging is via gerrymandering. the blue states weren't gerrymandered until recently.
>>82397832>legislation that actually benefits poor peopledoesn't exist
>>82397956Indeed, "who shall bell the cat?" Unfortunately, such questions are a waste of time. Just come up with some plans and see what sticks.
>>82397972>i'm choosing the one who'll be least harmful to society as a whole>Trumpok
>>82397832to properly uplift people you need some welfare AND jobs. neither left or right offer both that would properly allow for people to get out of their situations. if you vote for too much welfare you end up like dem negros who are effectively being bribed by food stamps to vote left. there's no hope of them being given the opportunities to uplift themselves which is why they join gangs so much, because it CAN actually uplift them from their situations. honestly poor people who vote right are more analytical and realize that in the long term uplifting would require they get a job. they just don't realize that voting right won't magically bring manufacturing back from china
>>82398117That's not true. Poor people enjoy a higher quality of life than they did in the late 1800s and that isn't entirely due to technological advancements. Weekends, minimum wage, overtime pay, monopoly busting, GI bill benefits, food stamps, public housing, and medicaid/medicare have all benefitted poor people. Sure they're still poor, but their lives are much better than poor people of the past.
>>82397832"Poor people" you mean blacks, hispanics, Illegals etc they all vote democrat because they promise free stuffWorking people want lower taxes and Republicans pander to thatBoth sides lie, every time. Becomes a lesser of two evils decision, every time.Neither side represents Americans as the whole government is beholden to a Jewish foreign country and Jewish lobbyists. We need sovereignty in our own country back. Not Mexicans waving flags or Israeli's blackmailing policymakers.Simple as.
>>82397832Because they're high on the culture war
>>82397926You are right in a way. Poor people are easily manipulated retards, that's why they are poor. Of course this is not the case for everyone, if you are poor in Afghanistan it isn't exactly easy for you to become rich, but if you live in America and aren't extremely unlucky (getting attacked by a mountain lion and left crippled and with medical debt at a young age) you can improve your position in life to at least middle class if you're not a retard.
>>82398521>Poor people are easily manipulated retardsThis is where things get interesting. What you're touching on is the concept of "manufactured consent" - the idea that you can get people to do your bidding through raw cuture-jamming hacks. What's interesting about it is that anybody can do it, and 4chan itself is a trendsetter. You and I have the power to change the world.
>>82398500>hispanics>voting democratyou can make up anything you want, it's free
lol look at everyones comments shitting on poor people and then they wonder why they don't want to vote the same way as you, also just because a politician says they will help you, doesn't mean they will. Poor people believed the communist party in china in the 50s and then ended up on the corpse pile for it
>>82398613After Mao died and China opened up to the world again, China went from being one of the poorest countries in the world to one of the richest. The CCP was ultimately successful even though the first few decades were turbulent.
>>82398613"I'd be smarter and have more money if I got a free education" isn't a controversial statement. Corporate lobbying prevents this from happening in the USA.
>>82397832The greater good.
>>82399269Some estimate that as many as 50 million died from overwork, torture, executions and cannibalism, the rich chose to sell bags of rice over the lives of poor people. They really ate the rich there>>82399302No it isn't but I don't believe that they will ever do that, nothing is free, trust nobody, nobody is looking out for you, greedy rich people aren't fighting to give more money to the poor, it never did happen and it never will happen
>>82399356>it never did happenEstonia
Poor people vote for handouts and programs. These things cost a lot of money and are often used as opportunities for bureaucratic parasitism; they're paid for with raising income taxes and deficit spending.Raising income taxes makes people poorer, and deficit spending increases the money supply reducing the currency's value, making people a lot poorer. This increases demand for handouts and programs, and the cycle self-reinforces.
>>82397832>Why do poor people vote for politicians who pass legislation that does not benefit poor people? Because that's ALL politicians, OP. I'm assuming that you're a leftist, and you imagine that left-leaning parties support policies that benefit poor people. You are then baffled as to why poor people vote for conservatives, and assume they must be stupid. Of course, as you consider yourself a champion of the poor you can't actually SAY "poor people are stupid" because that would make you an elitist, so you use euphemisms like "Poor people are tricked into voting against their own interests".However, none of you leftists can explain how flooding the country with third-world immigrants benefits poor people. It lowers wages while increasing unemployment and drives housing prices up to absurd levels. The poor people are of course the most affected by this, while rich liberals in their ivory towers can bleat about the variety of new restaurants serving exotic foreign food and blame any discontent on "racism".Of course conservatives do little or nothing to stop the flood of immigration, but they at least PRETEND to be against it. This is in stark contrast to liberals who can't stop talking about how great immigrants are and can't even disguise their hatred for working class white people, then are baffled as to why these same white people won't vote for them.Hope that clears it up for you.
>>82397832youre retarded if you believe its the poor peoples fault that retarded legislation gets passed. if anything its the rich corporate oligarchs and lobbyists who can buy their way into the government or buy others into it. the US isnt a democracy, its a corporatocracy. wealth inequality is will continue to rise as monopolies strangle and kill small business, effectively destroying the American Dream. you will be given the illusion of choice and consumerism will continue to be the heart of American culture.
They're gullible and always fall for campaign "promises." They always promise they'll do what they say, bjt di the complete opposite when they get in. You just have to look at Trump and the Epstein files fiasco.
