>everything good that happens is because of ME
>everything bad that happens is because of YOU
honestly, how could you still believe in a narcissistic asshole like this?

Satan is made by God and tests Jesus while he is in the desert for 40 days. Tempting him 3 times. Like turning stone into a loaf of bread, or tossing himself off the top of a building so angels will catch him and Jesus replies not to tempt the lord?

If god exist and is omniscient and omnipotent then by definition he willfully causes everything evil. Every kid who's got raped, every woman who got murdered, god wanted it to happen. Christfags will never admit this because theyre emotional and hate reason because theyre spiritually women.

what gets me is that hes supposedly all loving all powerful and all knowing, but a being that fully embodies those three aspects wouldn't need to test his creations. he would love them enough to not put them through that, and he would know how they would react regardless,

its literally just ancient dudes trying to control people and making up reasons for why you should let them control you
>>
>>82436046
Book of job was all I needed what kind of omniscient omnipotent being needs to prove something to the literal incarnation of evil
>>
>>82436145
Christfags love to say god doesn't want anyone to go to hell, but then why would he even make it
>>

fr, and also most religious people pick and choose what to believe in, for example Leviticus 19:19
"You shall not wear cloth of two kinds of material, wool and linen together"
not a single Christian chooses to follow this rule, yet they choose to believe that people who don't worship their god burns for eternity
>>
>>82436145
Heaven and hell aren't concepts in the Jewish faith. They have Sheol, the land of spirits, and that's it. All of that was lifted from the Greeks/Romans in Elysium and Hades.

You'd think eternity would be super important to a demi-god but Rabbi Yeshua barely talks about either thing at any length in the New Testament. Scant descriptions. No instructions for how to go to heaven over hell besides "have faith in me".

If a deity (that gave a shit) had an eternity set aside for us I'd think they would understand how important that is and lay it out with extreme clarity. I mean hyper-fire-torture until the end of time is insanely immoral for any crime, let alone "not being faithful to a rabbi". Feels like we should have a far clearer guide for such a thing than we do.

was gonna mention this too but i wasnt sure if someone was gonna read it lol

the entire idea of hell that every single Christian thinks of is the fan fic of Dante Alighieri
same with the rapture, the return of god is barely talked about, when it is its very vague
same with devils and satan, people call him a goat headed man with red skin and huge horns, in reality, satan is never given a meaningful physical description, devils are just supposedly angels who work with satan

their entire belief system is just a fanfic of every pagan religion they destroyed combined with fear mongering

Welcome to indoctrination. It's why atheistic countries, who have all the time and freedom in the world to choose a religion, rarely choose any at all. It's also why almost all heavily religious people come from heavily religious families, it's passed down. It's why most religions are against birth control and homosexuality. Gotta be fruitful and multiply so you can grow the flock and get them early. Then you have the converts, usually losers and prostitutes, who are notoriously fanatical and crazy. It's hard to leave a religion because it's like a cancer, its tendrils are in all levels of society including your worldview. Perception is reality and all that.

It is reasonable to be against religion because it was made by people trying to control you.
But it is unreasonable to be against god, if such a being exists of course.

Abrahamic Religions have always struck me as... Very basic.
God is characterized as some angry vengful king demanding fealty from his subjects through tests and displays of loyalty. It just seems so, so limited to the imagination of a desert-dweller and makes the whole thing sus to me (among other things)
>>82436141
>omniscient
Honestly this is enough alone to kill free will as a concept but no religious person ever wants to discuss it.
>God knows everything before it ever happens
>He can never be wrong, events will play out exactly as he setup
>He created and setup the world
And yet somehow our actions are supposed to be our own?
>>
>>82436478
Maybe but it's irrelevant because god doesn't exist. Neither do fairies or trolls. It's all man-made based on fear and ignorance. What you see is what you get.
>>
>>82436495
Maybe or maybe not.
I do not want to be absolute.
But there is no reason to be against a being that has no relation to us.

if a god does exist im like a speck of dust on a shelf he doesnt care about
i think the idea of any god that is relatable to humans in any sense is retarded

i think its much more productive as a human to care about what we can do for us and each other, rather than what we can do for some thing that may or may not be real

100% agree.
But still it's weird when someone is against such a being, like behaving with hostility towards something that might not exist.
>>
>>82436534
yeah, if it does exist i care just as much about it as it cares about me
>>
>>82436145
Im always split on that.
>God is wise
>it is generally considered a wise decision to test your creations
>therefore God uses Satan to test his creations
A lot more theology makes sense if God isnt 100% all knowing, all perfect, all powerful but it closer to 99.9999999999999999% all of the above.
I dunno if he exists or not in the end so guess Ill find out if a miracle happens or when I die.
>>
>>82437192
Or god doesn't test anyone.
But let's say two people decide to have kids.
That kid's life will be difficult.
Should god intervene and make them sterile to help the kid avoid such a life?
Then the humans would be complaining that god won't allow them to be free.
God acts more like a coach, if something is allowed to happen it happens to help you reach your full potential, not to punish you.

God will defeat satan when the second coming of Jesus happens.
>>
>>82437392
>Implying there was a first coming to begin with

It happened, and then Jesus was resurrected and ascended to heaven.
