After being a NEET for 10 years I've been working for 1.5 years and I miss being NEET. Being NEET sucks but having basically no free time is worse. I might just save up like $50k and go homeless for a while and enjoy my life because working all day 5 days a week is not living
>>82509966no. you will pay for my tendies wagie
>>82510024I've paid enough for now I need rest
I've been waging for a little over a year after nearly four years of neeting. Neeting was great aside from needing money. I honestly don't know how so many people work even in their 40s. If I can't retire by then then I'll just go to Argentina or something, even Cambodia or Uganda if I have to. Anything to not have to work anymore. As long as I have internet connection to pirate chinese girl cartoons I'm good. If I'm really broke I'll do subsistence farming, but supposedly you only need like $200k to retire in a poverty stricken shithole. When rents $100/mo food can't be much more than that. Using the extreme early retirement calculators portfolio safe withdrawal is about $8k/yr. Seems doable.
yeah. I was a neet for 9 years and then got a full time job. at first I was very optimistic but after a few months nothing substantial in my life got any better except I spent the majority of my life at a place I hated with people I despised. I was at my most genuinely suicidal then. As in I was closest to rather being dead than waking up to go to work. It sucked everything I liked about life away. I quit after a year and have just been gaming the system for gibs since. I might get a job again but I'm not going to believe it'll make my life better and if I hate it I'll just quit immediately
>basically no free timepoor time budgeting skills. Sounds more like a personal problem. If you're that angry over having no time, get an easy mode midnight shift position like security or tard wrangler. I'm a tard wrangler and I have so much free time. I just finished a 10th book just this month.
>>82510074Have you beaten some for fun ?
I woked a shitty job after college for 6 years. It paid like shit and involved manual labor but at first I didn't mind it so much because I took care of a greenhouse and I was alone for the most part of the day so I just listened to music and did my own thing. 3 years later company started to grow, they hired people and I had to spend most of my time working with woman. Place was a snake pit and the girl that eventually became a manager was the worst. I reached a point where I just went to work, thought about crashing my car on the highway then got back home to watch TV and drink beer. Eventually they fired me, got my severance and unemployment bucks and spent a bit over a year learning programming on my own. Besides covid lockdown I'd say that time is the only happy period of the last decade. Fast forward 5 years and I'm already dreading it. I loathe the corporate bullshit. The social games, the fake smiles, the "we are a family" cult like speech. If I could be alone simply doing my job with no external bullshit it would be almost tolerable. I don't need anyone patting my back and pretending he cares about me or that I'm not a disposable slave.
I feel like a beer cus I wfh and don't interact with anyone in society except for my gf. We worked from a university recently which was a nice change. My hobbies are programming and exceeding, both solitary, so it's isolating. How did you neets get your dosage of talking to other people?I kinda miss highschool/uni for that reason, but the constant homework is stressful.
>>82509966how did you get a job after neeting for a decade
I swear I typed neet and not beer
>>82510225>expecting followups from neets
I was NEET for 18 years and only got a job through semi nepotism because my brother referred me for an opening at the place he works. I was trying to get an apprenticeship for about 2 years before that with absolutely no success.
>>82510074Good advice, I did the same until a corpo took over management and started making up pointless shit to do even though they're a glorified payroll department.I hear from one of my old coworkers occasionally and they can only find potheads or schizos who stick around for more than a couple months, since anyone with a functioning brain leaves as soon as they realize the job is purposefully made into shit by assholes who have nothing better to do.Nightshifts in general arent for everyone though. Most will quit in a month or two because they cant adjust their biorythm.Only women Ive ever worked with were either rude af or expected to sleep on the job for a few hours while their colleague was awake.Never heard of a woman working nights alone, even in extremely safe areas, with actual armed security around.Boomers are often sleepers too, but at least have the decency to offer switch ups.

>>82509966Being a NEET is so good man, being depressed is a million times better than being stressed.
Reading about all of you complaining about being a wageslave doesn't make my life any better, being a neet still sucks and I'm a neet without neetbux
>>82511304if you had just enough money to get by, would you wageslave?
I'm NEET at the moment bc of anxiety but I was in school for many years because I didn't know wht I wanted to do. I have seen a lot of people talk about missed wages and I feel immense regret. I have no savings or 401k at 33. I don't know how you get past feeling regret about missing years of salaries.
>>82511219This is really it. And fags don't really get it unless they have lived both. I worked heavy construction for 14 years and neetlife is so much better. I rather be bored and depressed than stressed and exhausted any day and for the rest of my life. Anybody bitching about neeting just hasn't suffered enough.
>>82511321Of course not, but being a neet WITHOUT NEETBUX is even worse than being a wageslave
>>82509966save about twice that and then retire for like 30 years in Thailand until you get balls cancer or something and then who cares at that point
>>82509966Waging is never actually that bad. Even if you work 8 hours a day, only about 2-4 hours of that is actually you doing anything that matters. Office Space wasn't wrong. The trick is to embrace it and then enjoy the money
>>82510202what is exceeding? never heard of such a hobby
>>8251133733 is still not too bad. If you start now you'll have plenty by the time you retire and if you do actually save properly
>>82511490100k is maybe 5 years
>>82511516The trick is to become remote work master race, which wasn't really feasible when Office Space was made. I used to work in an office and having to look busy when there was nothing to do was the worst part. Even when I didn't have to do that, like if my manager wasn't in, my downtime slacking off was limited to playing with my phone or reading a book. Now that I work at home I can still do those, plus I never have to deal with normie coworkers like back in the office, but I can also:>do chores, it's amazing how much cleaner I am when I can clean on the clock>shitpost>play games>watch TV/movies>take a nap>drinkOf course, this requires you to have a certain living situation. If you're in a cramped home full of other people constantly interrupting you it will still be stressful and annoying. But I live alone in a house big enough to have a room that is my dedicated office/vidya battlestation. My lifestyle is very similar to when I was a NEET except I need to have a normal sleep schedule and I have money.
>>82511832it's still stressful especially long term, health goes to shit too
>>82511527exercising*wrote that while sick (I'm still sick) (sad face)
>>82511832Nice, this is basically my wfh situation except I self improve instead of play Vidya to avoid hitting 30 with 0 skills or XPYou get lonely yet? I hit year 5 wfh and I'm kinda lonely now>>82511960what do you mean?
>>82511996>You get lonely yet? I hit year 5 wfh and I'm kinda lonely nowNo. I have a big family I get along with, a handful of close friends and a good group of vidya friends. My only social complaint is >tfw no gf. When I was working in an office I did make friends with a couple bros close to my age, but 95% of my coworkers were people I'd never talk to or spend time with outside of work. They weren't bad people or bad coworkers, just not people I had much in common with so for me I don't think working at home hurts my social life.
>>82510074>tard wranglerWhat is the non-4chan name for this?
I really wish I had my neetbux, it's been years since I seen any money
>>82511720>can't make 100k last longer than 5 years in phuket RIP
>>82509966>10 years a NEET>jobThe only job that you can get from that sounds like wagie shit so its obviously gonna suck.
>>82510074Good idea for me. I have been thinking about a jobs like those lately. They seem easy to do, but the pay makes me get worried ^^
>>82512381Social Worker
>>82512754Thanks anonner
>>82512062is your family normal or dysfunctional?if the former, you are blessed and I bless your familybless your friends too, that sounds lovelyt. tfw yes esl gf, sick with covid, no friends, and insane family (hoarders, hugely obese and cruel, bpd, lost contact, etc)
>>82511341dunno, I got my first not that very stressfull job and life is kinda comfy now. But holy fuck at the lack of free time
>>82509966How did you find a job? I don't need the money but I could use a distraction
>>82510024I love cooking and I have worked in restaurants before, well I worked in one restaurant, I'm just afraid of getting rejected because I'm 31 with barely any experience
>>82510062Commie countries are a bad idea, you will be taxed like 50% over every single cent you spend, you are better off going to a corrupt fake country like center Europe or south Asia
>>82509966im currently in education but i am unemployed and i hate it because i need money badly. luckily i live with my mom so i dont have to pay rent but i wouldn't mind working ive had jobs before i just cant get hired right now though despite applying to tons of jobs
>>82509966>Being NEET sucksNo it doesn't. What sucks is having no money for stuff you want or even need.t. lived the dream for 5 years, been slaving away for 6. I am aiming for 10 years before quitting. Better get some shitty business going on on my own until then so I can keep money coming in, but regardless the accumulated wealth should allow me to be neet for a few more years by then.
>>82510466>i FEEL like a neet>mai gee effhe was just here to ragebait
>>82509966why not enjoy both of both worlds? just work part time and have more free time for yourself.
>>82510225I just forced myself to show up even though I was extremely anxious about doing a bad job and embarrassing myself as a 30 year old man working his first real job. After the first few weeks it got a little better but the stress and anxiety was still really bad so I just kept believing that it will eventually get better. It never gets better, but eventually you get better at dealing with it. I used to wake up in the morning and throw up because I was so anxious. Now I'm just kind of in the mindset where I don't care if I get fired anymore
>>82513058Just went where all the fellow degenerates and high school drop outs go to work - a factory. There are like 5 staffing agencies in my little town and like 20 factories within 5 miles of me. I don't know what you do in places with no big factories that constantly have job openings and hire anyone
>>82514310>Just went where all the fellow degenerates and high school drop outs go to work - a factory.I never thought of it like that. I work in a factory and that is indeed the case: degenerates, dropouts, dumb and lazy people. They just couldn't do anything else, to them this is all they can hope for. And I just wanted to avoid people and all the intellectual crap back in college and ended up resorting for this. Sure the job is easy but dealing with their bullshit doesn't make up for it. I guess I am one of the dumbasses.
>>82510097I'd never do that even if I was allowed to without negative consequences. The most I've had to do was a few restraints on some that were hitting themselves enough to draw blood (e.g. banging head on the wall) or the one that puts his hand in his mouth when he's upset. The last one never bites his hand so that was abnormal of him, but that time he did.>>82510667It only takes a few assholes for the entire workplace to turn into shit. It's happened here twice. Both of them went into the whole "you have to be hard on your employees. " The boss I have now is such a sweet old lady. No one worked much with the other two since they were both bitches (no surprise out of le boss girls), but everyone is willing to work more often picking up extra shifts or do extra chores because of the current. The turnover rate is still high despite the current boss. Almost all just nope out of there within a few minutes when they see who they will working with, which isn't much. The hardest is them having a meltdown yet doing nothing for about 10 minutes or just cooking. I'm the only one person who is full time midnight shift and working six nights a week, and the other that fills in is someone that is filling in all shifts for extra money.>>82512381If you want to know, the job title is fucking stupid: Behavioral Health Technician. It's a stupid name and it should be named Glorified Babysitter.>>82512644They are, but they come with risks. Midnight shift does a lot of your body. >>82512754Aaaaahahahahaha. Yeah, many of them are dumb making up stupid objective in their treatment plan for them to modify behavior, with many of them being impossible to do like:>X will potty train himself within the next 90 daysMeanwhile, X is non verbal, 100% bedridden or wheel chair bound due to his birth defect, and plays with his magnet toys all day.
>>82514083This is what I do. It's okay.>>82514561>I guess I am one of the dumbasses.Same, but I intentionally lean into it. I even live in a trailer and have plastic pink flamingos in the yard lol.
