Our society has created an artificial distinction between generalized advocacy and statements about specific named individuals. Most of the time, that works in favor of the left; this is one of the few times it doesn't.

If we treated every generalized ideological statement as the same as a personal and individual threat, we'd have to shut down every college in the US.

Have you heard of the dead sea effect? Competent people who end up homeless by circumstance take advantage of the plethora of services intended to get people back on their feet. It is all a resource maximization issue. The far far left solves issues by throwing more money and resources at them. The far extreme right solve them by eliminating the problem. Both are bad in different ways.

I don't share some morality hangup about human life. With +8.5 billion people the evidence is we can make more of them fairly easily. Saving the homeless or mentally ill is a feel good expenditure, it doesn't change the fact they will never meaningfully contribute to society. I also feel the same way about the elderly. If you are cognizant and aware, but need help in your daily life fine. But when you can't remember the day, you family, or who you are....then why keep on going. I've seen Solent Green and I was not horrified by it. I damn well know 40 year old me would put a morphine /MDMA IV in my +80 year old self arm and sail this ship right on into a nice drug fuel sunset. My fear is that my +80 year old self will be too out of touch to go through with it. Suicide booth, solvent green, some kind of living death last rights contract...bring it on.

That's a noble sentiment but keep in mind that most people are more interested in politics than the truth and will happily suppress truth that runs counter to their political goals. You should look into the history of public housing and learn to read between the lines. There are good reasons we don't have government-owned housing and much of the risk of public housing assistance (section 8) is put on private investors.
