Doing this makes sense if you're working a job that relies on the same set of people liking you, but if it's not truly necessary, then don't.
Just be yourself and stop giving a fuck about making people who hate you happy, I wish I was exaggerating but most people will not give a SHIT about what memories they have with you and what your relationship was like before they found out you're autistic, the second they find out, you're as good as dead to them.
It took many heartbreaks and a permanent injury for me to learn this lesson the hard way because I was stubborn on "making it against all odds"
