i want to move out. i have about over around 100k between my savings and investment accounts. i love living with my mommy because she cooks for me and doesnt make me pay rent and im saving a lot but i want to fly out girls and have privacy to scream and walk around naked and do whatever i want.realistically how do i move out? should i get a cheap shitty apartment or condo? does anyone have any experience with this? how big of a financial hit was it for you guys when you moved out of your parents' house. im coddled so it gives me a lot of anxiety but im tired of being an immature pussy cucklord and i want to be mature
>>82624998get a roommate or a gfliving alone is incredibly boring
>>82624998>100k in savings>can't figure out how to move outBait used to be believable.
>>82625012picrel. youre a freak bro, im not baiting>>82625010i would love a roommate but i have no friends. do you live in nj? ill move in with u fella
>>82624998You might want to ask reddit or look up facebook marketplace or craigslist. There are always for rent signs up if you look around. I think they run a credit check and you need a deposit, first month and last month's rent so you need to pay 3x the rent all at once or something.
>>82625010same anonthe first time i moved out to los angeles, i was living alone for monthsits not good the pyshceeven if you have that much money saved up, its still a good idea to live with someone just so you can talk to themroommate first, then a gf
>>82625021>do you live in nj?nah, im in californiabut having 100k in the bank is a lot of moneyand if youre working full time, you aint gonna be draining any of that money
>>82625034Nigga you moved to Los Angeles. Los Angeles is a shithole and a half, there must be something in the air or the water because there is a psychic and cultural rot or filth to the place that is just normal and accepted as everyday life. If you actually lived in LA, the city, and not some suburb apart of LA county then you'd know the absolute shitshow that is the city. That being said, maybe OP ought to look into roommating or living with a gf or something
>>82625030is facebook marketplace or craigslist legit? that sounds sketchy. do they make u sign a lease on that or is it just by word of mouth?>>82625034preferably i would want a gf. i dont talk to anyone anyways so its not like it would be a drastic change. id miss my cats at most>>82625040yeah i work full time. i just dont know how big of a drain it will be. what if the rent and utilities are more than what i make per paycheck
>>82625051It does seem sketchy. It is an option if nothing else. I don't have much experience with it but do your own research and dip your toe a little.
>>82625051i strongly suggest you move in with a roommate, preferably in a nice area, and if that roommate already has a place, make sure its CLEAN before making your decisionNEVER move in with a slob - bad very badonce you get over living with another person (who isnt a family member) then moving out and getting a gf would be ideal
>>82625021And you managed to do it in just a year? Are you fresh out of college or something?
>>82625092im going to ask my old friends if they want to be roomies with me, and ill make reddit posts asking if people in my area want to be roomates. what are the chances i get matched with a faggot who tries to rape me or something (not a joke)>>82625097i opened an investment account and literally just put 99% of my money in there because i dont spend money on anything. 25k of that is in a roth ira, but i have a savings account that has like 30kish aswell from previous job
>>82625111Good for you, depending on where in NJ you'd like to love to, you'd be able to find a comfy apartment for a reasonable price that wouldn't require you to have a roommate. My sister just moved out there with her bf this year, from NY, you should be able to manage to find something decent with the money you're bringing in.
>>82625134its expensive where i live, but i think everyone says that. is zillow a meme? should i call realestate agents. idk if thats scammy shit because you can just find a place without having to pay a middle man
>>82625111okay, so heres a bit of life experience for yaapartment managers/land lords actually WANT you to move into their place, because by doing so, you help pay for the propertyand if you can prove that you can pay every month (ie job security) then land lord is gonna be really nice to you, because they need that money from you - dont take this nicety to heart, you have the option here, not themand remember, when the property manger is showing you around the place, theyll say "see, very quiet place"dont fall for itthe place is quiet because EVERYONE is either at work or at schoolif youre interested in a place, visit the place during the weekends, when everyone is at home
>>82625176>apartment managers/land lords actually WANT you to move into their place, because by doing so, you help pay for the propertyreal... but its way more cheap than buying a house or paying a mortgage.>and remember, when the property manger is showing you around the place, theyll say "see, very quiet place"good advice. i live in the suburbs in the middle of nowhere so it usually is quiet, but maybe there is a mexican family or something that lives upstairs or whatever. good advice thank u brother
>>82625040Move out of Commiefornia and go to Texas, the fuck you doin?
>>82625111>>82625134NJ is one of the 3 states I think with the highest taxes and rent by far If OP wants to stretch his savings, he should move states. I'm trapped in NJ, and I hate it here, I wouldn't mind living with a roommate as long as he's clean like me.
>>82625239add me on discord if u are interested in rooming w/ me. my tag is moidling
