Does future of warfare scare you anons? Suicide drones, hyper Sonics and now soldiers gaining ability to see through wallsThoughts on Andurils new Eagle Eyehttps://x.com/anduriltech/status/1977802419582238883
>>82799322this looks they're adding the overlay from a Tom Clancy game lol
>>82799322>>82799331I feel like this would be annoying in war and you'd essentially lose your senses of actually detecting danger. Cognitive overload but it's cool asf
It doesn't work. Anduril and Palantir haven't actually delivered anything to the military. I've worked on projects with palantir as a sub contractor and they're really bad at everything. You ask for embedded software and they give you enterprise slop. You give them USG requirements and they say they "cant do it" if they follow requirements. Just like everything else from Silicon Valley, these companies don't make good products. They make total unworkable garbage and have insane marketing departments. They jump right over the part where they have to actually build something to earn money, and just endlessly talk about it to pump up stock price and one day someone else is left holding the bag, or with enough hype you can trick actual competent people to work there and turn it around. But so far they haven't turned anything around.>but palantir worked for the CIAThe CIA built that software but they're required by law to give subcontracts to private enterprise. They build everything, give it to palantir to add a thing or two, put their name on it, and they meet the legal requirement. That is what Palantir is built on. For anduril, news came out a few days ago, maybe last week, that their headsets have hundreds of vulnerabilities and its not just software, its down to the hardware design. They don't have any idea what they're doing and don't have an actual interest in providing adequate military gear, they just want the money and are indian-like going "yes SAAR buit the thing SAAR give the money for the headset built yes?!"
>>82799322Nukes mean that all war is irrelevant. If you're going to war instead of letting nukes fly, you're not really going to war. You're doing some gay "police action" aka preserving some billionaire's property.
>>82799406>They don't have any idea what they're doing and don't have an actual interest in providing adequate military gear, they just want the money and are indian-like going "yes SAAR buit the thing SAAR give the money for the headset built yes?!"Id imagine building something like this would take decade+ with quality assurance and iterations of prototype before being set loose. But has anything anduril made even been used yet cause I always see new marketing gimmicks but no proof they're being used.Is Silicon Valley just full of grifters
>>82799425It doesn't take that long. An average prime DoD contractor could push it out in a year or two if they receive the funding for it, and have it actually comply with all requirements. Silicon Valley is essentially all grift. They're the descendants of the snake oil salesmen. If you look up Palmer Luckey, he's listed as the founder of occulus VR and he sold the company to Facebook in 2014. For all intents and purposes this should be incredibly easy for them to create, but the reality is that slop you can sell to a consumer to play videogames isn't what actually works for military use. They already have a decade of experience. https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/anduril-palantir-battlefield-communication-system-has-deep-flaws-army-memo-says-2025-10-03/They're just morons. If the world were fair and there was no rampant corruption in securing these contracts, I'd bet against Anduril and Palantir every day of the week.
>>82799489I remember seeing deepseek fiasco and Palmer lucky kept saying that Deepseek was fake /distilled and when people pressed him about it he got angry that no one was falling for it. I've noticed this with Elon too where lot of these tech leaders act like they know everything but when pressed/cornered they sperg out.
>>82799406>>82799489based silicon valley for scamming the military industrial complex
>>82799512Behind every Steve Jobs dancing on stage is a Steve Wozniak playing with redhead clits in between doing the real work
>>82799599Look up Palmer Luckeys Wikipedia page btw it gives off same vibe when Chinese historians would say their emperor was once in millennia genius destined to rule.
>>82799489>Silicon Valley is essentially all grift. They're the descendants of the snake oil salesmen. This pretty much covers the 21st Century so far. So much hype and empty promises, virtually no delivery. Besides touch screens and making computers small enough to be handheld shit hasn't progressed much since the 90s.
>>82799322>land warriorsquaddies don't need to know this shit. junior officers wouldn't even need to know this shit if not for the west's fetishisation of command and control
>>82799627Every new Apple update nowadays is essentially them adding micro features that an app has been doing for years. It's all rent seeking where any actual production is out door.
You know what even scarier, we havent even reached the part of the story where they create micro drones that are like robotic mosquitos that can bite and poison you or just spy on you
>>82799512Brother they literally don't know anything. Shit legit takes big teams with smaller egos. I work with PhD's that have narrow focus areas and often say "I don't know, I'll have to look it up" because at this stage bullshitting doesn't work and first time quality is extremely important.Silicon valley types need to stay out of this arena, and out of medical as well. Defense and medical deals with people's lives. Big higher up guys in my company have children that are active duty infantry officers and we have tons of veterans here, its called putting your money where your mouth is, they dont want their sons to die. There are always tons of complaints when it comes to military gear being "outdated" or not futuristic, and it may seem boring but that's what actually works. >>82799627Just the other day I saw retards on reddit going full chimp hype over the X AI robot doing the same tasks Asimo did 20 years ago.>"Yeah but now its doing it with "AI" instead of just being programmed to do those things!""You fool people like this with buzzwords and sell stuff. Bay area should just be carpet bombed desu.>>82799684There are already insanely cheaper ways to do all of this. No reason to make a tiny mosquito to kill you when they can just use a guy with a gun.
>>82799684What's scarier is that US has lost any good manufacturing abilities to do this
>>82799696Lot of companies in tech world are just marketing rouses to get more vc funding. If you're not meking any big claims then you'll be overlooked for someone who does so it creates an environment of grifters trying to shake down investors for money. Do you remember that one girl that made blood company that was essentially a scam run by an Indian. Their are so many companies like these in SV who are just bidding time until someone calls them out
>>82799684>we havent even reached the partall technology we see in warfare is four decades outdated. it'll need some desperately equal battlefield for everyone to take out the most powerful shit they have.
>>82799721Its what meets the cost/benefit analysis. Most of these big companies have tons of manpower and they don't have you sitting around doing nothing but sustain, there are designs for some pretty cool things drawn out to the small component level with full life cycle management, there just isn't any money to get it to prototype and production stage. I'm not an expert just a regular mid level engineer, but my estimate is that it would not only take a full fledged war to bring this stuff out, but it would take a few years for it to be in production. In WWII they could go from acres of grass to a full production line and first plane/tank rolling out in 1 year. Things are more complex today.
>>82799813>it would take a few years for it to be in productionall alien sightings are warplanes, sudden wildfires are lasers, massive disease bursts come from plague fog machines.fuck your empire
ok but why does the UI look like something i could rig up in Unreal Engine in five minutes?
>>82799322War has always been gay, it just got gayer with drones. Think of vietnam and the extreme paranoia of some gooks hiding in a brush to ambush you or a booby trap.
