Some had similar hobbies, others had completely different hobbies. You don't need to like all the same shit. But I know I would prefer being with someone who likes tangentially related things, or at least having a shared appreciation for something I like. I am a huge music nerd, and so I don't need someone who loves music theory or all the obscure mathrock and skramz bands I like. But I couldn't be with someone who didn't appreciate music and didn't have an open mind to art in general.
