If anyone is to defy Causality in Berserk, it will be Guts, and it would certainly not be Griffith.
Secondly, this is precisely what Griffith always wanted. He never cared for Guts or anyone else as anything but means to his end. Honesty would not have changed that, even if he also had romantic feelings for him.
