So if i take ritalin or concerta as a probable neurotypical (for studying) am i in big risk for addiction? Where talking like using it for a week max in order to catch up?
>>82929447stimulants are feel-good drugs. everyone gets addicted. they literally release the keep-doing-this juice in your silly little head. also don't fucking sell your soul so you can be a better robot nerd. and if you do don't EVER touch your birthday candle while high btw *wink*
>>82929447I dunno. I've taken adderall and vyvanse for studying, sometimes daily for a month straight and never got addicted. I had no trouble stopping when I needed to
>>82929447Ur not getting addicted in a week I was taking 210mg of vyvanse for a year and didn't get addicted
the heart palpitations will probably keep you from taking more but i wouldn't risk it so don't take it if you don't medically need it.

>>82929612>the heart palpitations will probably keep you from taking moreThis if you take too much you'll get the opposite effect and feel tired
>>82929625dunno if its because i actually have adhd or because i have been taking them for a while but i feel both tired and have a fast heart rate at the same time right now. At first your body sorta knows not to make the heart go faster but its inevitable and i might ask the doctor for something else. Also taking stims to study *really* doesn't work. You are just wasting money, risking fines, and are straining your body. picrel is just one of many studies looking into this but they all come to the same conclusion.
>>82929625Same as whit coffee in other words
>>82929640Stims don't make you tired if you have adhd they make you relaxed and give you energy. The energy part is not the same thing as the mania it induces in neurotypes
>>82929652the first time i took a real dose i was almost knocked out. The mellowness is so strong that all you want to do is just to sleep. This does not last for the entire duration of the drug and you are more awake after a bit but you do get tired even if for a bit. With time and tolerance this gets better and its more of a 'relaxedness' however. Might just also be semantics to be honest.
>>82929663also i know multiple people who are also diagnosed who can confirm the 'tiredness' but yeah semantics
