I live in LA. The thing about these big cities is that unless you make good money or can fake like you do, you're practically invisible. Some 15-20 years ago, the bar was a lot lower. These days, young 20 somethings are just ignored.

Living in the city sucks ass. I moved from the suburbs to Chicago downtown when I was 23 and I've hated pretty much every moment of it. Suburbs was quiet and chill and living in the city there is literally 0 privacy, your neighbors are always in your business. I don't enjoy going outsie any more because there are always people everywhere, constant loud traffic even at 3am. Crazy homeless people shouting at themselves on nearly every street corner. Grocery stores are smaller and more limited. Stores in general are tiny and just have less than what you are trying to find. Rats and garbage everywhere. No nature or trees. It really just kind of sucks and you should only live in a city if you dont have a choice. The only good thing about being in the city is that there are good restaurants everywhere if you can afford eating out often or get ubereats. Otherwise it really just sucks. I wish I had gone out in the rural country with a dog on a big plot of land instead.
