i have made almost $200 this week (with the potential for way more) with facebook marketplace selling. i am gonna use this to buy this chinese womans fumos (she made totono ones and a rena ryuugu one and some cool touhou designs) and uhh idk probably manga and pay off some afterpay debtsi missed beeg patchouli and the bunny girl preorders, and APPARENTLY I MISSED A YOSUGA NO SORA FUMO??? if i cant get my hands on one i will dieanyways how are you channers doing today? halloween is coming, are you ready?
>>82956919dang op ur rich now!
oh yeah i also have ibaraki fumofumo arriving today
>>82956919grug think you need go outside
>>82956919>I made 200 dollars this week>What did I do?>I drove around for hours and resold people's stuffCongratulations you probably made less than minimum wage.
>>82956934yes anon i am making big buxx
>>82956919Did the manga really sell for that much? I would've figured that people wouldn't pay much for any of it, but I guess I'm skewed because I just read all my stuff for free. I'm doing well, haven't thought of a nice scary movie to watch for Halloween though. Felt pretty invigorated because some stuff I made suddenly got a bunch of views and even a nice comment :).
>>82956938ive been outside, i dont like it>>82956944im not reselling stuff (well except some manga ig) this is stuff i bought new and dont really want anymore so im selling it. i live off neetbuxx and get $1400 monthly currently so im just making side money>>82956953its not all from manga, i sell clothes and shoes too. most of the manga money came from one box set tho, which i sold for half of what its worth so people tried to nab it quick>some stuff I made suddenly got a bunch of views and even a nice commentwhat sorta stuff did you make? thats nice tho, anon.id recommend a scary movie but theres not many good new ones tbdesu
>>82957015I see, I see. Must feel nice at least to be free of some old stuff and to look forward for new things. Were the clothes and shoes just old ones or did you make them?>what sorta stuff did you make? thats nice tho, anon.A video covering a mystery and my theory on what it actually was. The commentor said my theory made the most sense and that I was the most in depth video he could find on the subject :). Thank you, also.I'd be fine with any scary movie recommendations though, even old ones. I haven't watched too many different movies. As far as spoopy stuff goes it's really just the four original Alien movies, The Thing(a great movie) and probably a few others I can't properly remember.
>>82957050it does!! because i hate how much unnecessary space these things take up. the clothes and shoes were just old ones (or stuff i bought that looked shit on me).what was the theory, do you feel comfortable linking the video here? (i understand if not i mean r9k is not great lmao)hmm, id probably recommend cloverfield (first 2 movies) then if anything, and idk the exorcist is a classic so may be worth a watch
>>82957092Proper resource management then B^). The theory was about a cryptid, but I'll leave it at that and not share it here since it is this board and all. I did watch Cloverfield and the second one is the one with the bunker, right? I remember watching that one too. I haven't seen the Exorcist though, but now I have a movie to watch for later B^). What do you usually do for Halloween?
>>82956919Pathetic manchild lol, even worse if you're a female because you're basically an autistic virgin in whore's body.
>>82957109oooo ok, perfect sorta thing for halloween lmao.yeah, the second one is the bunker one. theyre such good movies, im not surprised youve already watched those, but at least i could recommend one you havent watched. i usually drink! and im gonna be doing it this year too, but im gonna be super extra and dump candy in them
>>82957147theres nothing wrong with this anon, youre literally on 4chans r9k board, we are autistic losersand im still an autistic khhv as a woman, who cares, normalfag sexhavers gtfo pr whatever
>>82957147Did you forget which board you were on, anon?>>82957148I did enjoy them both. I may actually rewatch them since it's been so long since I've watched either and especially the first one. Booze never really does anything for me but have you ever brewed your own? Also what kind of candy do you like? I love Reese's and gummy candies. There is no greater thrill than to tear apart gummy worms like a vicious predator >B:^).
>>82957169>>82957172This is exceptionally pathetic. I think a gooner is probably a better person than you and I hate gooners.
>>82957172you should, theyre always worth a rewatch. i should too, tbdesu>Booze never really does anything for medo you have some insanely high tolerance or something?ive always wanted to brew my own, i used to watch some content on it, this guy who'd brew meads. i wanted to try monster mead but apparently it doesnt work at all.i love tearing those apart as well lmao. but my favourites, i like fruity candies like those starburst chew things or allens peaches and cream, and cookie dough kitkats, those are so good>>82957219anon... youre on r9k, have you already forgotten? do you need to sit down?
>>82956919you again?today i had cake, snacks, got a plastic katana and a physical copy of oyasumi punpun vol 1+2i'd say it was a pretty ok dayhow about you, how was yours?
>>82957219Okay buddy, enjoy your stay.>>82957226It is the season for it too. I do have a pretty good tolerance also, but it's probably because I'm a big guy.>monster meadHmmm... That's not a bad idea, you could probably make it actually work too. You know, there are microbes who break down caffeine too for energy but they won't produce alcohol from it though, instead they made CO2 and ammonia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudomonas_putida#CBB5_and_caffeine_consumptionPic related is some.Monster has sugar in it though, right? It should be able to make booze, but maybe the caffeine harms the yeast? You could probably very easily breed yeast to tolerate the caffeine content, but I imagine the after product won't be all too great. Brewing mead is also nice, I wanna do it again. You can use the yeast that collects on the bottom to make soup too. I'm sure you're already aware of vegemite and stuff since you're an Aussie, but this video might be some nice watching for you too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zEWtqkp1v8Also thinking on the caffeine content, I know people make mead with orange blossom honey and that has caffeine in it too iirc so it might not be that.Fruity gummy worms are great, although I haven't had any of the other stuff. Just regular ol' kitkats. You'd probably love key lime pie if I had to guess though.>>82957228What kind of cake was it?
>>82957228that sounds like a good day. also>oyasumi punpuni fucking love inio asanos work, i love everything hes ever created, he is hands down the best manga artist ever. i have read everything of his that i could find online. i borderline worship his worksits been decent so far. i made fb marketplace sales and i have a fumo coming in the mail so :D>>82957247i cant recall the exact reason why it didnt work, but im pretty sure it was something else in energy drinks stopping it from, well, meadifying. the guy said he had an idea to try and make it work but idk if he ended up doing it, i stopped watching out of disappointment>i wanna do it againhave you done it much before?yeast soup... that doesnt sound good. but tbf vegemite is really good, so, maybe ill try it (if i ever brew mead)key lime pie looks delicious, but everytime i think of it im reminded of that keylime pie internet mystery thing
>>82957247>What kind of cake was it?half of it was filled with dulce de leche, half with chocolatei really, really liked it, got myself a big, EXTRA THICC (pic related) slice of the dulce de leche sideit was amazing.
>>82957310>i borderline worship his worksdamn, nicewell i'll be reading this and seeing how good it is with my own eyesyou own physical media of his works too?>decenti see, quite nice huhwhich fumo did you get?
>>82957310Looking at the ingredients list it seems like it'd be Benzoic acid that's the culprit, it's a preservative that hurts microbial growth. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benzoic_acid#Precursor_to_sodium_benzoate_and_related_preservativesI imagine you could probably put some base in there to get it to settle out and then decant the monster off. I've brewed more than a few times, yeah. Over 20 gallons worth of mead and wine, 15 of which was mead. My first meads actually had a pumpkin orange tinge to them when I first brewed them. As for yeast soup, a lot of soup stocks actually have yeast extract already in them B^). Look up any you might have in your cupboard and see if it's on the ingredients list. Key lime pie mystery? I'm not familiar with that. Is it a mystery over what the origin is? From what I understand its origin is somewhere here in Florida with people first starting to get access to condensed milk.>>82957314>caramelized milkThat's an interesting concept. Now I wanna try it sometime. Does it have a really strong, caramel taste to it?
>>82956919i'm doing alright i feel a bit poor and like I have nowhere to go. that's just how it goes for friendless losers like me. i wonder if death willl be a release from this world were I was always nothing
>>82957342you will be. is it your first work of his?>you own physical media of his works too?ofc, hes my favourite, i must own everything of his. i only own a bit rn tho, i have his first art book and some of his jp exclusive, never getting translated stuff tooi got ibaraki for now.i preordered heaps of fumos (green reimu, big ran, clownpiece, koakuma) on amiami a few days ago tooalso, cake sounds delicious>>82957356ah thatd be it then>put some base in there to get it to settle out and then decant the monster offhow would this work?20 gallons is fuckload of alcohol, did you drink it all? did you sell some? i know it doesnt have a hugh alcohol % so itd probably take a lot to even feel anything from it>Look up any you might have in your cupboard and see if it's on the ingredients listi would if i owned soup stocks lmaooh no its nothing to do with actually making the pie, some schizoposter in the late 2000s was making weird posts about captain kutchies key lime pie, even getting sexual iirc
>>82957419thats not good, anon.dont give up on things, keep pushing forward. maybe youll find some people to be "something" to, if you just keep trying.death may seem like release but you only get one shot at living so you may as well stick it out and try do things, yeah? im not very good at comforting anon, im very sorry
>>82957425Seems like it, but it seems it only retards how much the process can work. Also for how it'd work you'd find some base that'll react with it and produce something insoluble in water. I can't find any basic salt of it that'd apply, but since it's pH dependent on working then you could just add base in and it should be fine. Like adding a bit of lye(a kind of drain cleaner) or maybe even just calcium carbonate/lime stone. I didn't drink it all, I did let others drink and enjoy it. I still have some bottled up somewhere. I should probably pop one open and drink it at some point. I wonder if it'd taste better with some aging.>schizo piewew, whoever was making that key lime pie probably had to deal with all kinds of weirdos because of it too. I highly recommend key lime pie if you get the chance, that or lemon/lime cheese cake. I love the latter a whole lot, my grandma had a nice recipe that my mom inherited and adapted. Very good stuff. Do you ever bake stuff?
>>82957356>Does it have a really strong, caramel taste to it?the taste is strong for sure, but not very caramel-likecloser to condensed milk i'd say, very very goodjust appearance-wise it looks like caramel>>82957425>is it your first work of his?i think so, yeahi don't often pay attention to the authors of the works i'm reading, lol>i only own a bit rn thoi'd give you the manga i got but it's translated to portuguese and you're a bit farbut one day i may get you an english copy>ibarakigood choice, but i'm surprised you didn't go for classics like cirno or reimoowhen's cirno coming?>green reimudamn that exists? very fucking nice>cake sounds deliciousit was, if i was near you i'd have knocked on your door after i got home and offered you to share it with methe 1/3rd i brought back from work was almost too much for me to eat, lol
>>82957472I see. I know some caramels don't contribute much to flavor but do also work as emulsifiers. They use some of those for soft drinks actually. Generally any kind of cola that you see uses them to emulsify flavoring oils into the drink and it's what gives them that dark brown/black color. I wonder if you could do the same with the dulce de leche now. I'd definitely want to try it, especially because the lemon cheese cake recipe that I remember from my grandma had to use alcohol to impregnate it with the lemon flavor whilst the alcohol would evaporate. Not needing to use alcohol could allow for a greater concentration of flavor. Could even get more creative!I have a nice video on making coca cola that you and OP( >>82957425 ) might enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2yLvseG5UM
>>82957464>drain cleanerwouldnt that make it undrinkable (and lethal)?maybe you should pop it open for halloween and have a little celebration drink, perfect excuse to drink too.ill have to make it myself to try it, so maybe sometime in the future. ive had lemon cheesecake before tho, and that stuffs so good. not as good as passionfruit or blueberry cheesecake tho...i used to bake a lot but i dont really have drive for it anymore, arfid took most of my drive for cooking/baking, unless im doing it for others. which sucks cause it was one of my greatest joys in life. i can make a very uncoordinated, unaesthetic but delicious apple pie from scratch. i can make virtually any food from scratchwhat about you, do you cook much?>>82957472you should pay more attention s.m.h, its respectful to the artist and their works to do sono its ok, i already have the first 2 (omnibus) volumes in english. i didnt know they released manga in portuguese, thats really cool. i knew they had spanish, german, and chinese, ive never seen many other languagesi already have a reimoo one, yuyuko and marissa. ive been trying to find a cirno one second hand, or a preorder to open, but no luck. tho the chinese lady i memtioned in the op makes these silly cirno snail fumos and ill get one of those.they have a purple reimu too, i want all the reimus...1/3rd is a huge amount of cake, i can only handle like, 1/10th of a cake like that before i get sick lol
>>82957575Nope! Lye is only so bad when it's in a good concentration but since there's stuff like citric acid in monster the lye should react with that to form sodium citrate. Sodium citrate is actually an emulsifier used for cheeses and cheese sauces too. It's edible, although probably not the best for your gut's health(not that booze is either).I'll have to grab a bottle then. Hopefully no cork rot ruined any of the bottles. Last I remember they all tasted a bit like beer because I didn't rack them beforehand to make them clear, but the yeast did all settle out by now. I've never had passionfruit anything before, but blueberry cheesecake is odd for me. It's not bad, but I love having a nice citrusy cheese cake B^). Also, I see. Aesthetics also don't matter as much as people make it out to be, it just needs to taste great. I use to cook a lot more in the past, mostly when I took care of my grandpa. I'd make him omelettes a lot and handle cooking quite a number of his meals. I mostly cooked things on a stovetop though and did my best with meats(I'm a very carnivorous person). What's passionfruit like? Also what does your ARFID mostly mess with you on? I couldn't handle strawberries or a lot of actual fruits. Strawberries felt like eating slimy styrofoam with bugs in it.
>>82957485>Generally any kind of cola that you see uses them to emulsify flavoring oils into the drinkah yeah, i remember there was a whole deal around here about caramel 4 colorant being carcinogenic or somethingi think that cleared up, i dunno>Could even get more creative!let us know the results later, /an/oni'll watch the vid tomorrow, sleep soon>>82957575>its respectful to the artist and their works to do soi guess so, but i dunno, i never looked at the namesbut yeah i prob haven't, first time>ive never seen many other languagessafe to assume they got all sorts of weeb shit here considering we have a strong japanese presence around, plus we're a big market>ive been trying to find a cirno onegood luck, cirno is the classic of classicsno fumo collection is complete without her>i want all the reimus...rainbow reimu when?>a huge amount of cakeanon it's a small cake, like 20cm from border to borderbit large for a single person but perfect for 2-3 people or moreyou'd be fineanyway, thanks for talking to me todaygood night, maybe i'll talk more tomorrow
>>82957689I know just about any kind of emulsifier is going to be bad for your digestive tract, so even if it isn't carcinogenic it won't be good for your small intestine. That said, we eat all kinds of things that are bad for our poor guts.>let us know the results later, /an/onwew, it's gonna be a bit before I get the chance to make any. I do want to though. I'd need to get some nice essential oils for it, or maybe some cherry flavoring. I do like my cherries. Sleep well when you do, fren and I hope you enjoy the video. It mostly just goes through a process for making a coca-cola syrup at home to make your own coke. It does cover why the caramel is used though and the essential oils he uses.
>>82956919I make $200 every 3 hours at my job
>>82957641kinda horrifying to me that a drain cleaner can technically form something found in cheese, which is something i eat dailyhow long have they been sitting around for? also. beer is disgusting. totally undrinkable.ive never tried real passionfruit and tbdesu i dont really like other passionfruit flavoured things, its disgusting. but the cheesecake is nice. thats an awful way to describe strawberry texture cause now im gonna think about that when i eat them again... my arfid fucked up most food for me so i live off mac and cheese, french toast, and the occasional mcdonalds breakfast so long as i dont look at the meat at all and blindly eat it as quick as humanly possible. and subways ok too but only from one specific place because its the only one ive had consistently good experiences with (i once got plastic in my sub from one other place and didnt eat it again for a year, that same place also gave me rancid chicken)sounds like youve got decent experience cooking but>mostly cooked things on a stovetop thoughisnt that just most cooking in general? lmao>>82957689its his most popular work so it probably is. also his art style is very unique so if you have read something of his youd probably recognise it>we have a strong japanese presence aroundyou do? like, japanese migrants?i will get all the fumos... all the touhou, azur lane and some of the other misc fumos (i have little saya, need beeg saya and the yosuga no sora one)im sure we'll have rainmu one dayoh, i assumed it was massive lolthank you for talking to me today too. sleep well anon, goodnight!!
>>82957747thats a lotta money, what do you do for work?
>>82957765It'll feel less horrifying if you know how you can make lye B^). Lye can be made by heating up baking soda to a good heat. This turns it into sodium oxide which will react with water(and produce a lot of heat, so be careful) to make sodium hydroxide or lye. You can also take regular salt and do some electrochemistry iirc to get things like hydrochloric acid and lye. Lye is a really old cleaner though and was used to bleach things or to make soap. If you expose it to fatty acids, like lard or vegetable fats, then you get soaps via saponification( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saponification ). Also you can take baking soda and mix it with vinegar(like those old volcano projects for science classes) and you'll get sodium acetate which is what salt and vinegar chips use to flavor them. The beer flavor I think was just the yeast, it had no bitterness. My grandpa didn't approve and he thought it was beer and told me that he made better beers in college B^). Also, I see. Mac and cheese is great. What's wrong with meat though? Like does it have some kind of off taste or is it because you don't like the idea of eating animals?>isnt that just most cooking in general? lmaoTrue, I guess it'd be better to say that I haven't baked much. Also freshly caught and cooked catfish was nice -- but I don't know how much you'd approve of that. For me though, meats are the one thing that I can eat without a problem. It's basically just breads and meats but sandwiches are a no go.
>>82957797oh, so its just baking soda. that makes me feel MUCH better about it lmao. didnt realise it had so many uses either, so much stuff you can make out of it.>told me that he made better beers in collegelooks like the need to make alcohol runs in the family lmao. good that it didnt have the bitterness of it tho, thats the worst part of beer (other than making my mouth dry as fuck)with meat, i love the flavour and im fine with eating it, im not against meat consumption (tho i do dislike the poor conditions theyre kept in and typically only buy from ethical sources), its the fat that i hate. it looks disgusting and makes me put off from eating it. cooking it myself i basically waste 50~% of the meat by cutting away every major bit of fat and even then it makes me feel sick. its easier to eat meat made by others so i dont look at it or think about it.how does catfish taste, whats the texture like? i approve of fishing, i love doing it myself, but i do not like seafood much>but sandwiches are a no gowhy, whats wrong with sandwiches? do you just eat raw bread?
But I mean actually of course I know who you are, poster, posters.I don't care about your hobbies lol I just wanted to shit on you. Get fucked, cuz it's true haha
>>82957899i think its time to take your meds, schizoanon
>>82957878Yup, pretty much. If you leave lye exposed to the air it'll absorb CO2 and become baking soda and sodium carbonate(which you get if you leave dry lye exposed to air iirc, it's very similar but less soluble in water). The akali metals and akali earth metals all do similar things like that. All of them in their metalic form react with oxygen and water to form oxide and hydroxide forms and then they love to absorb CO2 and form carbonates/bicarbonates(the difference is bicarbonate is CO2 + HO). It doesn't run so much in the family though, just me and my grandpa B^). My uncle(not by blood) did too, he was also a biologist. I miss him. I seemed to have picked up a lot of my grandpa's culinary interests though. Also, I see. Gotta go with breaded meats for you to avoid the fat then! That and leaner meats.Catfish tastes pretty mild. I can't really say the line of "it tastes like chicken", but it has a meaty taste that I only ever find in fish but isn't that grosser flavor you might have found in other seafood. That gameyness comes from blood in the meat, in my experience. If you properly bleed the fish then it doesn't taste like that at all, at least catfish won't. It's a very soft texture too, very tender. I didn't know you liked fishing though, I used to do it all of the time at my grandpa's. What's fishing like over there?>why, whats wrong with sandwiches? do you just eat raw bread? It's something about the feeling in my mouth once it's all chewed up. Raw bread is usually the issue, because grilled cheese or anything with cooked bread is usually fine. Usually I'll go with bagels for my bread needs though. Toasted and with cream cheese :).Do you not like crab or lobster though? I can imagine with lobster the, well, you know with its tail can be gross. In crayfish you can actually remove their intestines before cooking them and I heard when roasted they'll taste like lobster. In Tasmania you guys have giant crayfish too!
>>82957878>>82957942Oh also, forgot to show what happens when you put their metalic forms in water :). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UsRiPOFLjkCaesium is also super cool. It's the heaviest, stable akali metal and it's gold in color. At about 33~c it also melts. I'd love to make a caesium fountain one day. People have made NaK(sodium and potassium metal alloy, it's molten at room temperature) fountains before, here's even a video on that( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlFKZK8xPzk ). You need to keep it filled with noble gases in order to keep it from tarnishing and it's dangerous if it breaks.
>>82957942its pretty insane how something simple like oxygen and water can change things so muchwas your uncle the one who sparked the interest in biology for you? (or if not, what did? im curious)breaded meats are ok. beef schnitzel is really good and you can make beef parmigiana with them. chicken schnitzel is pretty gross tho as it typically has chicken veins in it.most seafood has a very soft texture afaik, ive only tried some but most are soft, so thats unsurprising. but the flavour sounds ok considering it sounds like toned down fish>whats fishing like over therei havent done it in a while but it feels like most locations have nothing to catch. takes hours to get 1 or 2 fish. i havent tried fishing at a beach tho so itd probably be better there, but rn im waiting for someone to do it with cause its boring as shit going alonebagels toasted with cream cheese is a very american thing, i dont think ive heard of anyone else elsewhere doing that lol. but i understand that, it does feel pretty gross.ive tried lobster and didnt like it, i dont think id like crayfish either (and that cooking process... ew). i remember you mentioned the giant crayfish before i think, theyre very cool. the colour of the claws is beautiful >>82957964the way it reacts with the water is really cool, i love how big it splashes and how it kinda jumps around> You need to keep it filled with noble gases in order to keep it from tarnishing and it's dangerous if it breaks.this sounds like more effort than its worth, being dangerous and all. what happens if it breaks?
>>82958129Oxygen is the most abundant element on Earth too B^). Hydrogen is the most abundant in the universe, but something like around half of all of the matter on Earth is oxygen. My uncle actually didn't spark my interest in it, I just really loved catching all kinds of things as a kid and watching documentaries. The documentaries that covered dinosaurs and what not just hooked me on it and my 'tism only let it grow from there.I've never actually had any schnitzel, despite my grandmother being from Germany. I should try it some time. Also some seafood is a bit tougher, usually the big fish. I remember that tuna can be tougher, but still soft enough to enjoy. Calamari and octopus are quite tough, especially if prepared poorly. Very chewy, but I do love calamari. It's a shame I don't live anywhere near you or else I'd offer. I've tried fishing in saltwater but I never had any success, but I did well in freshwater. It's all about what time and place you try to fish. During the day most fish want to hide in shady spots and the best time to catch fish is usually around dusk or dawn. Each fish will have its own preferred time to come out to eat though, at least where I live. Gar loved to come out near midday and up to like 2-3 PM. They weren't easy to catch though since they'd spit out hooks. Pic related is a variety of them down here, but alligator gar live elsewhere and get massive. I remember it being said that gar tastes like gator and gator tastes like a juicier kind of chicken. You might not like crab either, it can be quite sweet. At least it'll be less gross since you just eat their legs and claws. For the sodium and stuff it's super light for a metal too, sodium metal is less dense than water so it'll float. As for the fountains, it'll spread that liquid metal everywhere and it can react with water in the area and get pretty hot and potentially start a fire. There's no easy way to clean it up either, especially not with water. Boom B^).
>>82958187i did the same stuff as a kid, but mine led me nowhere, im a bit envious of your overpowered tism intelligence.so, whats your favourite dinosaur? you havent? thought schnitzel was like, super common, tho that might be the german influence on my country. you should try it, its really nice (and easy to make yourself). and definitely try parmigiana if you like pizza, its basically a big schnitzel cheese pizza.crocodile meat is quite tough too, tho technically not a fish. crocodile probably tastes the same as gator, and it does taste a bit like chicken, if it was submerged in water lmao. ive tried crab and didnt like it, related but i also tried eel recently and that was awful. it doesnt taste like anything ive tried so i cant even compare to anything, its like vaguely fishfreshwaters the one ive had no success in... maybe i gotta try at night when i eventually do it again, and ill try both freshwater and saltwater to see if i have any success. didnt know there was fish that could spit out hooks, how do they manage to do that? they look so cool, they have such long faces lmao.yeah see, way too much effort than its worth, cant even clean it up easily without potentially burning your house down, terrible idea
>>82958284I have a feeling I might've been a bit more wild than you though. My mom was very upset at how I'd get myself into danger. One field trip at an estuary she and the teacher let their eyes off of me for just a minute and when they looked for me I was over 100m out on a sandbar looking for fish and stuff to try and catch. It probably helps that I was always into STEM-like stuff. You never were though, right? Also I don't even like dinosaurs now as an adult B'^). Giganotosaurus is pretty cool though.Does Australia have a big German influence? I wouldn't have guessed, honestly. Also yeah, gator tail is a bit chewy. Sounds like they'd be similar enough. Dinosaurs also likely tasted something like chicken, since their closest relatives are the crocs and birds. I'll definitely try schnitzel if I get the chance though.Fishing at night would be really dangerous over there because of the crocs though, right? Salties are really intelligent, or so I've heard. I'd also rather have gar as pets these days too than food B^).Blue Planet was also one documentary that really hooked me as a kid. My favorite episode was the deep sea one. Have you seen it? Here's a clip from its second season(wasn't out when I was a kid) for its deep sea episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuJiUscfjQwI'd also honestly figure that you might take an interest in plants. Have you ever gardened?
>>82958187>half of all of the matter on Earth is oxygenyeah but that oxygen is with chemical compounds. in our atmosphere the most abundant gas is nitrogen
>>82958331Yup, but it's a testament to how reactive oxygen is that it binds to just about everything. Oxygen is very clingy and desperate.
>>82958342>Oxygen is very clingy and desperate.h-hot. wheres my fucking oxygen gf to have redox reactions with

>>82958316yeah you definitely were in that sense, i was too scared to wander off but i would get upset if i couldnt stand and look at something longer (and i would make it everyones problem)i was mainly into geology stuff as a kid but i watched probably hundreds of animal and space documtaries and had a huge stack of encyclopaedias. i am very upset its all gone out of my head and down the drain. you likely just stuck with it better than i didgigantosaurus, basically a weird looking t-rex lmaoit does have a bit, we even have an entire german town! with descendants of early german settlers. its got a bunch of little stores and bars and an art gallery. its really nice. lots of german restaurants scattered about, lots of germans scattered about. if only we could have gorgeous cathedrals like them lmao.i doubt id have to worry about crocs, i dont think ive even seen one irl. surely i could scare them off, idk maybe ill try throw rocks at it i watched it as a kid (literally anything narrated by david attenborough, ive watched) but i dont remember much tbdesu. btw, clip isnt available in my country apparently, wtf lmaoi used to do gardening in school, i ran the gardening club at 2 schools i went to and watered plants all throughout the school holidays. i miss it. i grew a bunch of beets, carrots, tomatoes, and some herbs. ive always wanted to do it again but cant because landlords are awful terrible people with no soul.how about you, does gardening interest you much?
>>82958474Sounds cute, although I can imagine a kid having a temper tantrum isn't a fun experience. What kind of stuff did you want to look at longer anyhow? I do remember you being into geology, I actually had a recent theory relating to it that I need to flesh out and do more research on. You're also probably more capable than you realize of getting back into it and doing great. Giganotosaurus was pretty cool, but he also lived in a place and time when the biggest sauropods were around, the titanosaurs.Sounds pretty nice over there. Most of my family came from Germany actually. I should really try and find some nice German restaurants if I ever get the chance. You definitely have to worry about crocs though. Your saltwater crocs are the most dangerous croc species for people alive today. Tons of horror stories about them learning people's patterns to attack and eat them. Also maybe this one will work? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwuVpNYrKPYI'm not too into gardening, but I do like gardens and I have had thoughts about vertical farms and the like. You can actually use aquariums to grow quite a number of plants and they'll do some filtration work for you by pulling out nitrates and phosphates from the water. I do that in my current aquarium with a pothos plant. I do want to one day make all kinds of special plants though. One idea is to make purple mosses that use rhodopsin(what lets us see green light) instead of chlorophyll. Many kinds of bacteria use it actually and there's a whole hypothesis about it being the first form of photosynthesis. I've got a great video and channel talking about that too that you may like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIA-k_bBcL0This and their other first video is actually what hooked me on their channel. I wish they did more of this.
>>82956919What books do you like to read?
>>82958540in this museum there was fossils and a huge giant squid and i remember having a borderline meltdown cause of how quickly they wanted to move on. also one of my favourite australian movies, picnic at hanging rock, we went to a filming location for it and they literally brushed through everything JUST to go look at horses. I LIVED ON A FARM WITH HORSES AT THE TIME FFS. i begged to stay back and eventually they allowed me to stay in so i could poke around a bit. also later that day we went to a place with giant chess and a huge hedge maze and because it was raining they wanted to leave early and i started crying. these are the ones i remember most. i was a difficult child.whats your theory?>You're also probably more capable than you realize of getting back into it and doing greatmaybe... i hope soyou should, tho i doubt theres many down there, and in america in general. might need to get rich and go to germany.i didnt know that, now im gonna be scared about going fishing...i forgot how eerie some of these attenborough documentaries are, that was horrifyingplease make purple moss, thatd look so pretty. sounds like you do a bit of gardening, just the aquarium kind. pretty underrated tbdesu, water plants are very interesting>>82958542i mostly read manga and light novels, nothing too special. i like horror and alternate history books for actual books tho, my favourite book is house of leaves, picrel
ibaraki-chi is here... hehe
>>82958690Aw, did they let you look at it any of it a bit longer? I know my sister wanted to ride horses a lot as a kid, but we didn't live on a farm or anything so it was a while before she ever got the chance. She grew out of that too, I think.>whats your theory?I'm afraid it's one of those things I can't talk about on this board. I don't know if you'd be open to talking off site or anything, but I'm open to it.>maybe... i hope soI mean I stopped caring about biology for like 8-10 years or something like that and then my desire for it re-ignited later. I've very confident you can do the same, just need the right stuff to be fascinated about. Also, there should be quite a few I imagine in the mid-west. The US used to have a huge swath of its more rural, northern and western portions being majority German. They'd even all just speak German until about the first world war. My father's side of the family comes from there. Got a nice family name from him too B^), along with great genes for a few things.Don't worry though, you'll be safer if you do fish with someone else. That or just fish in a place that isn't Australia B^). Also the deep sea episodes were always eerie, but I love eerie stuff. Those brine pools in that documentary are actually formed by that one Myron Cook video's subject that I sent you. Also, if I ever get my bio lab the world will be very upset at the purple and black(combining both forms of photosynthesis) plants I make B^). I have so many ideas. All of them would upset the balance of nature. But they're all cool. I even wanted to make the purple moss smell like lavender too. Also you can grow all kinds of plants underwater! Some just need to be trained to do so but mosses can do it a whole lot easier. Also, a cool kind of plant for you too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithops>>82958724That's a lot of fumos.
>>82958748i got to look at the house a bit longer but for everything else? nope. what is it with young girls and horses... i need to read something about this.im very curious about the biology stuff but talking off site is something i dont really wanna do with anyone here, for like a million reasons.what reignited it? maybe ill find something to reignite it eventually and be like you, i hopereally? didnt realise germans were that common in the US as well. theyre so far spread. so you likely will find some restaurants. btw, i hate how americas mid west is literally north slight east. its always pissed me offill just wait for someone else. ill fish in other countries too if i get the chance.>upset the balance of natureis that an actual thing you can manage to do? or is it a joke? do it anyways, itll be too cool not to>purple moss smell like lavender toois this possible?lithops look so weird, like little mouths, it makes me wanna poke it. they look like gummies toothats only 5 fumos, just wait til my preorders and the chinese handmadw bootlegs arrive
>>82958877At least you got to see the house more. I don't know what it is with young girls and horses. Maybe it's the caretaking aspect with the freedom and excitement of riding them? Also, I see. I'm sure you'll find something though, that or you'll ignite a new passion. The manga collecting and reading certainly is one.See for the mid-west it got its name as being in the middle between the part of the US known during its time as "The West" and the rest of America. That's largely it, it was just that space in between.>is that an actual thing you can manage to do? or is it a joke? do it anyways, itll be too cool not toYup! Also, I appreciate your thinking B^). With the black plants for example, if you get it to work then they have the potential to out compete most plants. Their issue is that CO2 is a bottleneck and RuBisCo plays a part in that too. But there are more sources of carbon than just CO2 and people are already working on fixing Rubisco >B^). The purple mosses would likely just cause a radical shift if they were made to grow well beneath grass and on the trunks of trees. They can make use of green light, the light which other plants can't use and so any spot that's green is a spot they can live in.>is this possible?Absolutely! We already know the compounds that make lavender smell like it does, you just need to insert the genes into the moss to make them do the same. Those lithops too, it helps to think about how most flowering plants sprout with two leaves. That's what the Lithops are doing, over and over again. They just have these big, thick leaves. Another cool plant is from the Andes. It's so dry there and these guys grow on the rocks like corals. Speaking of, a video and a channel you might like with geology and botany. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-PdfK7V29UHe covers pic related in the video too.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YaretaHow many fumos will you have in total then?
>>82959019it cant be the caretaking aspect otherwise theyd want other things too, but its almost always ponies or horses. its most likely something to do with riding themthen why call it the mid west, that literally makes no sense, couldve named it idk, anything else?tbdesu itd be pretty cool if they did beat the other plants out because having purple moss and black plants would be really cool, but man it almost always sounds too easy to break nature like that lmao. and it sounds so easy to get things to smell like lavender too, itd be kinda funny if you could insert it into many different plants to make them all smell like lavender it looks so gorgeous and soft, i wanna rub it. such vibrant colours for the dry place its in.i will have 14! unless preorders open again or i find a good deal, ill get more
>>82959101That'd make sense. Can't really comment on the midwest part too much. I know that they were able to get the rhodopsin photosynthesis to work in E. coli, so it's likely not too much harder to do it for chloroplasts. Getting something to produce the right compounds also isn't that hard, it's just a matter of getting them to produce the right amounts -- selective breeding can help in that respect.Glad you like the Azorella too, although they're not that soft. They do make an otherwise treacherous, rocky landscape much less sharp though. That's a lot of fumos too. I'm gonna exercise and sleep though, have a good night, anon.
>>82959199>although they're not that softim incredibly disappointed in them for not being softersleep well and goodnight, anon :)
bumping. just once
