Is adderall good for you? Or is it dangerous like SSRIs? I need to concentrate but my brain doesn't work
Inb4 no I don't use tiktok or watch youtube shorts
>>82966035>I need to concentrate but my brain doesn't workYou need to or do you want to? Do you feel nourished when you study? If not, why not? Learning is a pleasure. If it feels like a pain, maybe you need to just shift how you feel about learning. I can relate maybe if you're feeling anxious about examination and judgement from a professor, the stakes feel so high, but take heart friend, when you graduate your degree won't matter to getting a job anyway, just learn for yourself and for the goodness of it.
>>82966076I'm out of college now, by a couple years. It's so hard to work towards unaccountable personal goals without deadlines, now that I'm free to accomplish anything or nothing. I'm very shit at this. I'll take your advice to heart though, there are things that I enjoy doing that I can't get through because I can't concentrate through them, maybe I need to remind myself why I do it at all. But... at times I wonder where all the time went. I didn't do anything, something's really wrong with me and I have to do something. Every high achiever is on some cocktail of prescription drugs to perform at their level. Elon Musk, Hitler, these are just some examples. Maybe if I have what they're having I'll be boosted up to just being normal.
>>82966035just use nicotine and caffine like everyone else.
>>82966035It's dangerous in a different way from SSRIs, but it's extremely useful if you have adhd. You *must* control your dose for heart health. yYou *must* manage your appetite and nutrient intake to avoid anorexia and vitamin deficiency. You *must* avoid losing your medication or letting it get stolen (it is valuable). If you can manage these things it can completely change how you study and work.
For me, it is a lifesaver. I was depressed and anxious to the point where I was close to considering suicide. I took a lot of different anti-depressants and mood stabilizers. It took a fresh psychiatrist to recognize it wasn't the usual lazy meme diagnoses (le depression and le anxiety), but actually adhd. The first one, a baby dose of 5mg, was the first time my mind was clear and quiet.
>>82966035it will slowly burn out your brain and your heart creating a dependency but also causing damageyou should really try not to use it
>>82966652>>82966673>>82966675how do I get the script? I don't wanna look like a druggie.Should I see a nurse practicioner? I don't think there's a therapist in network for me near here
>>82966700Ask around colleges. It's easy to buy it there..
>>82966675I recognize that I'm trading away several years of my life, but my job pays so well that it's worth it. I think I'm getting at least a couple of years back from avoiding financial stress. I never worry about money at all.Definitely don't do it if you're just going to play video games or study as a hobby.
>>82966700It took me awhile to get my diagnosis. As I mentioned, I was lucky enough my okd psychiatrist retired, a new one came in and realized the old boomer was wrong.
you just don't have onestop trying to concentrate and let it happenlearn eastern philosophy
>>82967435>unable to concentrate>have three things going on at same time while having intrusive thoughts>get fired because work is completely messed up because of constant distractions and just let it happen>"just let it happen, bro!"Shitty advice is shitty. Go back to watching PajeetGamer, fag.
>>82966035Wellbrutin
>>82967593>just meditate bro! Get into that flow state, bro!God that shit is cringe. No, it doesn't fucking help. If it did, I wouldn't need Adderall to have a clear mind and concentrate. I got some techniques I can use for some of the inattentive issues like post-it note, and slow jazz on my headphones to help slightly with distraction, but these are not 100%.
>>82966035All pharmaceutical drugs are toxic
>>82966673>it wasn't the usual lazy meme diagnoses, it was the even bigger lazy meme diagnosis>and then he gave me speed :)
