I'm no longer on discord but I've experienced good times through it. Talked with a lot of people, some of which were my friends for a while, did a lot of lewd stuff, but mostly just hung out, it almost felt like living in a slice of life anime sometimes. But in the end it's not real, not tangible. There's only so much someone on the other side of the planet can do for you. You can be there for each other sometimes but in the end when the screen turns off you're all alone. It's bittersweet. People move on with their lives anyway and if you have terminally online tendencies you'll realize everyone's on the train and it's leaving without you.
