With the help of stimulants and a pot of coffee, I went through my possessions and found enough useless stuff to fill a 150L garbage bag. I feel as light as a feather. The less stuff I own, the less cleaning and organizing I have to do. The less I have to do that, the more peaceful my thoughts become. Try it out bros, you won't regret it.
>>82989962Earlier this spring, I had a problem. I had too many books. I built shelves. Now I don't have too many books.
>>82989962Based anti-hoarding
>>82989989Organizing stuff is the 2nd best option. Have you considered getting an e-reader with an e-ink display? I've been planning on getting a Kobo Clara BW. IPX8 rating (fully waterproof), great display and the battery lasts for weeks. And most importantly, you can pirate everything.>>82989997My goal is to have so little stuff that I could load everything in a small van and disappear in three hours without a trace if I needed to. I have no reason to do that, but there's something very appealing about the idea. I could probably do that now in 4h despite having a minimalist home gym at the moment.
I have a bunch of stuff I have to sell, it's overwhelming
>>82990093The best books aren't digitized. You can't pirate pulp.
>>82990093>minimalist home gymdo you have adjustable dumbbells? i want to buy pic this black week
Finished moving last weekend so now i'm in the process of getting rid of more things.I have moved 12 times in the last 15 years so I already didn't have a ton of things but now I want even less.
>>82990133Do you mean books written in other languages? Because you can find almost anything in english. For me at least that's the case>>82990112Gather that stuff in one part of the room, sort them in your mind according to their resell value and just throw away the bottom 50% of that shit or donate it to some charity that accepts used stuff. Your free time has a monetary value and often times it's worth more than the pennies you could get selling your stuff to somebody online. The relief alone is worth it.
>>82989962I did that a few years ago, feels good man
>>82990093>load everything in a small van and disappear in three hours without a trace if I needed to. I have no reason to do that, but there's something very appealing about the ideaWhy is this so appealing? t. paranoid antisocial asshole after too many bad experiences and betrayals.
>>82990185I have a half rack mainly for the pull-up bar, gymnastics rings, a bunch of resistance bands, a dip belt made from a 1m towing strap and some carabiners, and a bunch of shitty plastic 10kg plates I use only for weighted calisthenics. Sometimes I strap a bunch of those plates together, hold them in my arms zercher style and do split squats or lunges with them for high reps. I have a dirt cheap gym membership and I usually train my lower body there since I don't want to buy the amount of plates required for heavy leg workouts. The ideal would be to get adjustable dumbbells that could be loaded so much that they were useful for deficit RDL's but I haven't found a good enough deal yet. For pushing exercises I do weighted push ups with handles for better range of motion and supported handstand push-ups for vertical pushing. Those adjustable dumbbells are pretty good as long as you get ones with enough weight capacity. Only concern with that type of dumbbell is that it might be difficult to strap that weight to a dip belt for weighted chins and dips. Maybe with a small loop or something.
>>82990350The ability to walk away from a bad life situation, relationship, job, etc. is the prequisite to freedom. When you're physically less weighed down by useless garbage, it makes your whole outlook more flexible. I think I got this idea originally from watching Heat (1995) years ago when the protagonist was talking about always being ready to frig off at a moment's notice. It's good to internalize even if you're not a professional bank robber.
>>82989962i don't have many possessions to begin with, my only burden is a lot of documents
