If you don't socialize, you deprive them of that, and it becomes yet another thing to hold against you since you're "not a good fit for the team" blablabla. The most effective backstabbers I've seen work from a constellation of things taken out of context that look really bad in aggregate. She immediately went NOPE no school will be keeping secrets with MY fucking daughter- pulled her out of that place, took away all of her social media, got her into counselling, and spent every single day talking to her and spending time with her. Daughter gave up the troon shit within a half a year and is normal again.
